-Hugh’s POV-

As I walked into the foyer, Elias waved and tried to speak. He inevitably watched me walk by, towards the door.

My mother spoke, watching me leave so soon.

Luna: “Hue, where are you going.?”

My father stopped next to my mother and spoke just before I was about to leave.

Leon: “Son, listen to me before you make any hasty decisions.!”

My hand gripping the door.

Leon: “The reason I didn’t mention the letter was that I knew you’d get upset and rush off into the unknown.”

I turned toward the opening. He spoke with a frank tone.

Leon: “Look son, I know it must hurt, but what happens if she’s happy with this Florence fellow, are you going to go there and make her hate you?”

Hugh: “She’s the reason I’m even the demon king, I’ve spent most of my life dreaming one day I’d make her mine. I’m going to see if I still have a chance or not. If I do have a chance, I’m going to fight. If I don’t, then I’ll congratulate her and leave.”

I looked back and spoke.

Hugh: “I’m sorry, but I have to know. I love you all.”

I left the mansion, my father rubbed his head as I left and my mother grasped his shirt.

I quickly stepped down the stairs of the manor and off to the stables. My men waited nearby and came running when they saw me.

Val: “Your highness, what’s the matter.?”

Hugh: “We’re leaving for the Elven continent.”

Red: “Shall we get the carriage ready.?”

Hugh: “Forget the carriage, just get me my horse.”

Val: “Yes, your highness.”

Val was about to get the horses with the others but I put my hand on his shoulder stopping him.
