Hendrix and Edmond both found something serious.

Everly was in a strange mood.

Hendrix knew her very well. She could not easily conceal her emotions, especially when she was sulking.

No matter who spoke to her, she didn't bother to answer.

And she might even hurt herself.

It was early in the morning. She served Edmond a glass of water. Lost in thought, she didn't even notice she had filled the glass so full that the boiling water overflowed. She was scalded. With a shake of her hand, the glass slipped down and was broken into pieces.

Everly forced a smile and rejected, "Thank you, Mr. Neil, but I have something to do."
