A Pigeon Pair: Sweetheart, Let's Get Married novel Chapter 93

Maverick saw this "moving" picture as he came in.

...

Miley and Carolina were not very smart girls.

But Miley was better than Carolina.

Miley told people what she wanted through her expression.

"Dad!"

Seeing Maverick, Candy completely ignored Miley. She slapped Miley several times on the face with her little hands. Then she stood up and ran to Maverick, with her cute tushy moving.

Miley's exquisite makeup was completely ruined.

But she dared not to show any anger or something else as Maverick was here.

Carolina was stunned that Maverick didn't praise Miley for her "care" for Candy just now.

But to them, Maverick was always an indifferent man.

So Miley did not try to project herself.

She stood up and walked to Maverick. She asked out of politeness, "Is Candy okay?"

Maverick didn't look at her at all. He only stroked Candy's hair, "I heard that you felt very boring here."

Candy pouted her lips and mumbled, "Dad, can I go home? I don't want to be in the hospital. I’ve recovered now."

"Okay." Maverick agreed at once, "I will take you home if the doctor says you can."

"Really? That's great!" Candy was very happy. She put Maverick's face in her hand and kissed him.

As she kissed Maverick, she saw a shallow scratch on Maverick’s chin from the corner of her eye.

Candy didn’t know what caused it. One couldn't see it if Maverick didn't raise his head.

Now Candy saw it clearly because Maverick raised his chin.

Candy cried at once because she thought Maverick was injured, "Dad, what's wrong? There is a scratch here. It's bleeding."

Maverick raised his eyebrows and comforted her, "I'm fine. I accidentally got hurt."

"What? But you seem to have bled. Dad, who hurt you?"

Candy tried to figure it out, which warmed Maverick. The cause of the scratch was obvious.

The culprit was a woman's nails.

And only one woman could do this to him.

Maverick said, "I was caught by a kitten."

When he said this, his tone was inexplicably soft.

Candy couldn't grasp the real meaning. She really thought it was a kitten. Her big eyes suddenly lit up, "kitten? Where? I like kittens so much. I want a kitten."

Maverick broke into a laugh, "It's still a stray one"

"Then how about we get it home and raise it?"

"Alright."

"When?"

"Well, you have to wait a little longer."

"Why?"

Maverick thought about it and said meaningfully, "It’s a little stray cat, which is hard to domesticate. It takes time. When it becomes docile, we can bring it home."

To Candy, her father had always been someone stronger than Superman.

She thought what Maverick said was right.

Moreover, the kindergarten teacher had said before that stray cats needed to be vaccinated. And she was most afraid of needles.

She thought to herself, ' Daddy is right. I can play with it at home when it is tamed.'

Candy smiled with her eyes curved up, "Daddy, you have to hurry up. I want to play with it."

That pretty face occurred in Maverick's mind.

He thought of her clean eyes. For some reason, he felt that they were very similar to Candy's.

Perhaps it was because ... the more he looked at them, the more pleasing they became.

But her eyes were also stubborn, which impelled him to conquer them.

Maverick became even more gentle. He rocked Candy in his arms gently, his eyes soft. Miley was so jealous when she saw this.

Maverick was really good-looking.

He was so attractive that Carolina and Miley, the two arrogant sisters, competed at the cost of their relationship to become his wife.

It was understandable that Maverick was gentle to his daughter.

But why...

Miley thought to herself, 'Why did Maverick stay together with Everly? Why can't I be together with Maverick?'

'Kitten?'

'Candy couldn't know anything. But I did.'

'The scratch was obviously made by a woman's nail. And the hurting part is in the chin. It must be...'

'Maverick kissed Everly. '

Miley was so jealous she was almost mad.

Why was it Everly?

She could take it well if it was Carolina.

But Everly had nothing attractive.

Maverick was leaving with Candy in his arms. Seeing this, Miley immediately followed him without thinking. But someone knocked on the door when she just reached the door.

Maverick stopped for a while. Before Miley could speak, the person outside said, "Miss Miley, the food you asked me to prepare is ready. Can I come in now?"

Miley realized that she had promised Candy to get her sweet and sour ribs.

But she hadn't told the chef yet.

Why someone brought it here so quickly?

But she thought maybe because it was lunchtime. She immediately let the person outside come in when she realized Maverick was here. She said to Maverick, "Maverick, Candy just said that she wanted to eat sweet and sour pork ribs. So I got the chef to prepare it. I've asked the doctor. Now Candy has almost recovered, so she can eat it."

Maverick did not speak.

Hearing the name of the dish, Candy was so excited. She immediately hugged Maverick's neck and acted like a spoiled child, "Daddy, I want to eat it."

"Alright." Maverick held her back to the living room in the ward.

Miley was happy. At least she could have lunch with Maverick.

She got someone to bring the dishes in, and she followed them into the room.

After the three of them sat down, the delivery man put the dishes on the table. It seemed they had just been cooked, looking very delicious.

Seeing all of the dishes were her favorites, Candy was very happy. She picked up her chopsticks.

But Maverick patted her on the shoulder. "Good girl, wash your hands first."

So Candy ran to the bathroom to wash her hands.

Miley stroked her long hair, trying to be attractive, "Maverick, have you investigated that? I'm really worried. Hope that mad child won’t do anything to hurt Candy anymore."

She was talking about Edmond.

Maverick raised his eyebrows. Just as he was about to say something, Candy ran over. She shouted angrily, with her hands on her waist, "Edmond isn't a mad child! He is like a brother to me. I like him very much. I want Edmond to be my biological brother!"
