A Relentless Pursuit for Love novel Chapter 43

Chapter 43

Jace had not used his hacking skills for a long time, therefore, he was slightly slow and a bit awkward.

After a while, he finally got a hang of it and he sped up gradually.

All these years, he never had to look into anyone on his own as Zayne would have everything settled for him. However, Jace was still annoyed by the fact that Zayne had allowed Sage Norah to hide her identity and marry him as Sage Luz.

Jace desperately wanted to knock some sense into Zayne.

This time it was Sage Norah, but what if next time it was an industry spy?

However, Jace quickly realized that Zayne was right. Everything on Sage Norah:her information and her profile, was all heavily secured, and there was no way that an average hacker would be able to get their hands on her information.

Jace had been trained in the military, but his specialty was targeting, not tracking. Yoel was the tracking expert, but he was unwilling to help Jace any longer, and instead, he was trying to pursue Jace’s ex-wife.

At the thought of this, Jace suddenly flew into a rage.

Pressing the ‘enter’ key on the keyboard, Jace took a deep breath and took a sip of water as he waited for Sage’s information to load. He was prepared to get to know his ex-wife all over again.

However, just when the information was fully loaded, the screen suddenly froze.

Jace was flustered. He clicked the screen, and suddenly, lines of code filled the screen, and it was followed by a short beeping sound. Someone had retracted the information and had even launched an attack against him.

Stunned, Jace set down the glass in his hand and began typing furiously. He was ready to battle his opponent.

However, his opponent clearly had better hacking skills than him. His laptop screen was quickly filled with lines and lines of codes that finally lined up to show a middle finger.

The middle finger sign was replaced with the word [LOSER).

Jace’s expression darkened immediately. He slammed his laptop shut.

Staring at the screen, Sage smirked.

Going through the new lines of codes that she had written to increase the security of her profile and information, Sage felt exhilarated. She thought of the pathetic look that her opponent might have worn when she had defeated him and muttered,” Think you can defeat me? Think again.”

Yoel was flabbergasted.

As soon as Sage started writing the code, he should have guessed that she was a pro. However, he did not expect her to be this professional and skilled.

Her profile had been secured by military-grade AES encryption that was already difficult to crack on its own. Just when her opponent was about to crack it, she had now only added a new algorithm that would secure her profile, but she even added an NSA standard anti-tracking that she could use to locate her opponent.

She even had the nerve to show a middle-finger sign and provoke her opponent. It was savage and brazen of her.

It was obvious that she had projected all her anger and rage that had been building up onto her opponent.

Closing the laptop, Sage closed Yoel’s open mouth. “Why do you look so surprised? I thought you are a hacker yourself? You would have been familiar with this kind of situation, wouldn’t you?”

Yoel gulped and pressed his lips together.

“Indeed, but I did not know that there would be a gorgeous lady like you amongst us hackers. What I saw just now, took my breath away.”

With her eyes glued to the screen and long fingers running across the keyboard, Sage had been calm and composed. She had been brimming with confidence. Yoel knew that Sage was gorgeous, but he did not realize that Sage was able to take stunning to a whole other level.

She was just too breathtaking to be real.

Sage accepted Yoel’s compliments then glanced at him and said, “There are other capable and pretty ladies out there. I’m sure you’ll be able to meet them.”

“I don’t need them, I just need you.” Yoel flirted with Sage and proceeded to wink at her.
