Luther cleared his throat. “But I’m not sure if I should tell you about this.’

Sage frowned. “Cut the nonsense and spit it out.”

“I heard that Yuriel Group had been working with Starship Entertainment on one of their advertisement projects, and Yuriel Group had been sponsoring several of their movies and dramas. They have been partners for quite some time, but the Yuriel Group had released an official statement earlier this aftemoon stating that they had terminated their partnership with Starship Entertainment. The CEO of Starship Entertainment, Lionel Liam, and Brody had booked a flight to Nadeem City. I think Jace made that decision because of you.”

‘It’s impossible.”

Sage retorted immediately, “You’ve underestimated Jace. He is not the type to mix personal matters with work, and you’ve overestimated my importance to him. Perhaps there was some disagreement.”

“But this can’t be a coincidence. Earlier today, Starship Entertainment provoked you, and then almost immediately, Yuriel Group terminated the partnership.”

Luther went on, “Plus, I heard that Brody’s father had beaten him up, and now his face is full of bruises. I think he was dragged to Nadeem so that he might offer a formal apology. And you must have seen the statement by Starship Entertainment, right? They sound sincere.”

Sage furrowed her brows. She too had thought it strange that Starship had released a statement of apology as quickly as they had, a s they had always been a snobbish and arrogant company.

However, things were rather different this time around

Could Jace have really played a role?

Why would he do that?

“Could it be that he’s falling for you and wants to get on your good side so that he can have you back in his life?”

Luther took a bold guess and said, “I must say that men are jerks. We always realize the importance of someone once they are gone. I think even Jace can’t escape this.”

Sage chuckled dryly, “There’s no use crying over spilled milk. He can forget about me coming back.”

She would not allow herself to fall into the same trap twice.

Lionel Liam and Brody had arrived in Nadeem City.

“Mr. Jace, we really didn’t know that you are acquainted with Miss Sage Norah. If not, we wouldn’t have dared offend her.”

Lionel Liam was sitting on the sofa and trying his best to explain himself to Jace. “It’s my fault for not educating my son. You brat! Hurry up and apologize to Mr. Jace!”

Lionel yelled at Brody, who was sitting on the sofa. His legs were crossed. His face was covered in bruises.

Brody unwillingly got to his feet and apologized, “My apologies, Mr. Jace. I wasn’t aware that you’re acquainted with Miss Sage.”

He added, “But I am really curious about the relationship you have with Miss Sage. I heard about you and Miss Sienna from the Zelda family, but I didn’t know that you have a history with Miss Sage.”

Touching the bruised comer of his lip, Brody smiled. “There’s Miss Luz, your ex-wife; Miss Sienna, your ex-fiancée; and now Miss Sage. I must say, your personal life is rather interesting.”
