A Relentless Pursuit for Love novel Chapter 95

Chapter 95

Yoel was plunged into disbelief and shock after he had heard Jace’s assumptions,

“So you’re saying that Sage had married and taken care of you for three years, just so that she could repay your kindness. She is doing this because you saved her ten years ago?”

“Yeah.” Jace was rather sure that this was the case.

“Goodness gracious.”

Yoel slowly came back to his senses, but he was still flabbergasted. “It’s like a scene right out of a drama. How is it possible that a woman would still think of marrying a man as a form of repayment?”

“I don’t think she did it just because she wanted to repay me.”

Jace narrowed his eyes. For some reason, he was reluctant to think that Sage had only married him for the sake of repaying his kindness. He then told Yoel what Finn had told him earlier,

Trying to calm himself down, Yoel drank some tea out of his father’s teacup, but as soon as Jace mentioned that Sage had a crush o n him for ten years, Yoel spat out the tea,

Yoel’s father, who had just gotten spat on, was annoyed, and he kicked his son out of his study,

Walking out of the study room, Yoel closed the door behind him. He asked in disbelief, “Are you serious? Sage had a crush on you for ten years? Are you sure you’re not delusional?”

Pressing his lips together, Jace replied solemnly, “I’m not a narcissist. I won’t joke about this kind of stuff.”

“You’re right. But I still find it hard to believe.”

Upon returning to his own room, Yoel poured himself a glass of wine. “Well, now that you’ve got your answers. What do you plan to d o? But let me remind you that these are all your assumptions. Do you have evidence?”

“This is why I need your help.”

Jace had no intentions of using his hacking skills, and he could no longer wait to know the truth

At the thought of Sage’s professional hacking skills, Yoel felt troubled. “Not that I don’t want to help you, but I don’t think I’d be able to surpass her skills.”

“What do you mean?” Jace asked, alarmed, “You mean Sage knows how to hack too?”

At this point, Yoel did not find the need to hide the truth from Jace anymore.

“Her skills are comparable to mine. Remember that time when you wanted to hack into her profile and failed? I was in the car with her, and I witnessed with my own eyes how she defeated you.”

Jace was rendered speechless

So the person that had showed him the middle finger and mocked him was Sage Norah? His harmless and gentle ex-wife?

“Shocking huh? I too was baffled and thought that I was dreaming.”

Yoel had finally found a partner to whom he could divulge all he knew about Sage Norah. “Not only does your ex-wife know how to hack, but she is also a professional chef. You remember Chef Myles Damian right? We tried his food once, and I’ve always wanted t o recruit him, but he had rejected my offer, and said that he was going to be taking lessons from his teacher. And guess what? His teacher was Sage Norah! Sage was the one who taught him to cook! Can you believe it?”

Yoel rambled on, “I have yet to try Sage’s cooking so I don’t know if it’s true. But Sage did say that she’d cook for me when she’s in a good mood, and I’m already feeling excited.”

Jace felt his heart drop. Even though he had never seen Sage doing any of those things that Yoel had described, he was able to imagine her doing it.

It was as if he was trying to grip onto something, Jace tightened his grip around the glass until his knuckles tumed white.

She had lied to him!

Not only was she a member of the Norah family, but she was also a professional hacker and professional chef.

Why did he not know any of these?

All Jace wanted to do right now was to grab Sage by her shoulders and demand an explanation from her.
