Looking out through the window, Leah stared at the black car that was pulling away slowly and she wondered who might be the person in the car that was able to cause such sadness in Sage.

Sage had brought Leah to the company.

This was the first time Leah was at the Norah Group, Staring at the tall building, clean and neat main lobby, as well as the polite employees, Leah was excited.

Everywhere that Sage went, people would stop to greet Sage whereas Sage simply nodded, not even taking a look at them. She was exuding charismatic and imposing vibes.

Following closely behind Sage, feelings of respect and admiration for Sage were written all over Leah’s face.

As soon as they entered her office, Sage said to her, “Make yourself comfortable. Would you like a drink?”

Leah replied, “I’m fine with just water.”

One of her assistants had entered the room just in time to make a cup of coffee for Sage and poured a glass of warm water for Leah.

Shortly after, Hunter entered the room. At the sight of Leah, he was slightly startled. “Eh? I feel like I’ve seen her somewhere.”

Getting up onto her feet, Leah looked nervously toward Sage.

Tuming on her laptop and taking a sip of coffee, she then introduced the both of them to each other. “This is Hunter Grant, my personal assistant, and this is Leah Norah, my youngest cousin.”

“Ahh, I see.”

Pulling into a wide grin, Hunter walked over to Leah. “You are from S college, right? S college is my alma mater. I remember seeing you giving a speech as the student representative during the thirty-anniversary celebration ceremony, did I get it right?”

With her face flushed red, Leah nodded shyly. Of course, she knew who Hunter was.

He was one of the top students of S college and he was four years her senior.

He had just graduated when she joined S college and they had missed out on each other. Even though Hunter was not around campus anymore, his legacy remained.

To Leah, Hunter was like a shining star hung high and above the night sky, unreachable and unattainable.

But never would she have thought that this shining star was standing right in front of her.

“Nice to meet you, Mister Hunter.”

Beaming, Hunter replied, “You can just call me Hunter.”

Leah started blushing again.

Listening to their conversation, Sage added, “I nearly forgot that you were from S college too and you did your graduate studies overseas right?”

“Yeah.”

Putting down a stack of documents on the desk, Hunter sighed, “There are times when I wonder how I ended up working for you when there are so many professors and lecturers out there who wanted me to do research with them.”

Sage glanced at him. “Why? Do you feel unfair? I mean, you can always walk away. No one’s stopping you.”

Hunter flashed a wide grin at Sage. “There, there, don’t say that. Earning money has always been my number one priority as I havet o take care of my eighty-year-old mother and a ten-year-old child to take care of.”

“Enough of your sob story.”

Sage then ordered, “Two things that I need you to do. First, arrange an intern position for Leah at Norah Jewel; and secondly, draft u pa contract for the collaboration with Yuriel Group on the horse-racing business for the meeting later.”

Upon receiving the first task, Hunter flashed a wink at Leah but when he heard about the latter task, the look on his face froze.

“Sorry? The Yuriel Group?” Hunter looked extremely dumbfounded. “Are you and Mister Jace back on good terms?”
