A Relentless Pursuit for Love novel Chapter 128

Chapter 128

Yoel, still in dismay, asked Jace, “Who won?”

“We didn’t get to the end.” Jace was reminded of Kane’s ruthless moves, his pupils darkened and said, “Sage called to a stop.”

Yoel wrinkled his nose. He couldn’t believe he missed out on such an exciting encounter.

*All these people around Sage are really excellent fighters. Luther, and now Kane. The Norahs and Hudsons are famous families in Salem City. It’s not uncommon for them to have relations. They might even share the same childhood,” Yoel analyzed.

All that discussion with Yoel only made Jace more upset. He had lost his appetite.

Jace put his fork down on his plate and made a clash sound. He then said, “Childhood friends? Do you think we’re in a tv show?”

Jace couldn’t accept having Kane around Sage. He needed to get him out of her life!

“Are you not going to eat anymore?” Yoel teased Jace as he made way towards his computer again, “You look jealous,” added Yoel.

The doorbell rang.

Thinking it was perhaps room service, Yoel opened the door and a beautiful woman was standing in front of him, holding a bottle of liquor. She looked surprised that it was Yoel answering the door, and she took a double take at the room number.

*Is this Mr. Fulton’s room?” said the woman.

“Yes, this is my room.” Yoel squinted his eyes, and he thought this woman looked strangely familiar, “You are the actress Suki West right? Are you here to drink with me?” Yoel asked the woman.

Yoel reached out for the bottle of whiskey.

Suki dodged his hands, opened the door and saw Jace in front of the computer, and said, “I’m not looking for you, I’m looking for him.”

Meanwhile, Kane chose a bottle of Scottish whiskey, and said, “I want this.”

Sage looked at the bottle of liquor and her expressions seemed a little uneasy. That was Jace’s favorite whiskey. Yuriel Mansion is stocked full of the same kind

Kane teased Sage as he saw her expressions, “Thought you said to pick anything?”

Sage pursed her lips and said, “If this is what you want.”

They took the bottle of whiskey to Kane’s room. Zamora instructed the helpers to prepare some food for them, and told them,” Watch out, don’t drink too much.”

Sage took out two glasses and sat on the carpet with Kane. She poured some whiskey on his glass and said, “Here’s to you, brother.”

“To us,” Kane replied. “I feel bad for not being away for these two years,” he said, eyes filled with guilt.

Kane took another shot.

Sage looked at him solemnly, “Brother, no matter what happened to me, I’ve made my own bed. My life, my decisions. I have no regrets in life and you don’t have to feel sorry for me at all.”

“But your eyes no longer sparkle.” said Kane quietly, as his heart ached for Sage, “The Sage Norah I knew used to be optimistic and full of life.” “That Jace, he’ll pay for this” said Kane coldly.
