A Relentless Pursuit for Love novel Chapter 143

Chapter 143

Jace still couldn’t get used to Sage’s bold choice of words.

“Meeting with a lady?”

Jace was all confused, “Me”

Sage laid back and looked up with that cold, distant eyes again. “Nothing to be ashamed of. It’s pretty common to have friends with benefits. But to sail on two boats? Bit unethical, don’t you think?”

old habits die hard. If he can still be involved with Sienna when they were still married, there’s nothing he wouldn’t do now that they’re divorced

One disloyal episode and you’re out. The rule applies to everyone, including friends, employees, or even ex-husbands.

Jace thought long and hard about who she was talking about and finally realized who the pretty woman was, “You mean, Suki West?”

“Ah, so that was Suki West. She’s gorgeous, I thought you only liked innocent-looking girls like Sienna, you have a pretty wide range when it comes to girls,” said Sage lightly.

Jace’s lips tightened. He looked solemn,

He was trying to hold down his temper as he was done trying to hurt her. Still, it did not mean Sage can accuse him relentlessly.

“She was at my doorsteps yesterday. I told her to leave as I don’t even know who she was,” Jace’s voice stiffened, “Did anyone tell you anything to mislead you, or are you stalking the surveillances at my room, and presumed the whole scenario by yourself?

Sage knew the dinner has come to an end upon hearing his frustration.

“Mr. Yuriel, I have no interest in your private life. You don’t owe me any explanation. I’m just saying all these to assure you that I want no part of the three-way relationship,

“You just don’t trust me anymore,” said Jace as his pupils constricted.

Sage smiled and said as she shook her head lightly, “I just need you, Mr. Yuriel, to be my most trustable business partner. I don’t need to care about my partner’s private matters. Just don’t involve me ever again.”

Jace understood she was telling him that they were never getting back together.

He was one-sided on that intention.

“Got it,” Jace stared at her quietly and said coldly, “I won’t ask again.”

Sage replied, “That’s for the best.”

There was no point in staying anymore. They stood up and left Tasteful Restaurant.

Sage said to Jace as she was about to get in the car, “Yoel should be in Salem City by now. We should arrange a visit to the turf club together and go over the details.”

Jace nodded and said, “Make it tomorrow. I’m going back to Nadeem City tomorrow. I’ll get someone else to attend the meeting.”

“80 soon?” Sage sounded slightly surprised, but still asked Jace, “The Rose Festival is happening in a few days, you should stay for a few more days to enjoy the event if you’re interested.” The night was getting dark, Jace looked at Sage and said, “Do you wish for me to stay?”
