A Relentless Pursuit for Love novel Chapter 147

Chapter 147

Sage’s diagnosis was accurate. Jace only looked badly wounded but all of his wounds were superficial.

Kane only told the guys to beat him up lightly. He was also worried that the Yuriel Group would come after him

Sage hated that Kane did this without her consent. She hates trouble and Kane always gets her into it. Did he think her life is too easy in Salem City?

She was also puzzled about Jace. Jace was in the special forces, he could’ve fought back. Sage looked at Jace with her hands crossed and her face frozen.

Jace had woken up and was dressed in a hospital gown. He wore a bandage on his forehead, and his face was pale as a ghost. Even s o, he looked pretty.

“Why are you looking at me like that?” Jace sheepishly asked Sage, “Don’t I look pitiful?”

Sage said coldly, “Not as pitiful as you were three years ago.”

Jace let out a cough.

Yoel patted his back and lectured Sage, “He’s still hurting, Sage. Don’t agitate him, be nice won’t you?”

Sage said, “I’ll give you a full report about today. However, you will need to explain to me too.”

She stared deeply into Jace’s eyes and told Yoel, “Take good care of him. I’ll come back tomorrow, don’t want to disturb you guys any longer.”

Jace and Yoel were dumbfounded

They watched as Sage left, looked at each other and saw disgust in the eyes, and let go of each other.

Yoel looked worried and asked, “Did she think we were. ?

He held out his fingers and crossed them.

Jace rolled his eyes and said, “I’m not even if you are.”.

“Get out of here! I’m straight as hell!”

Yoel yelled as he straightened his back. Jace pressed on his chest and coughed a little.

“Still in pain?” Yoel stopped messing with him and was worriedly looking at him, ” The car accident must have taken a toll on you. How else could anyone beat you up so badly?”

“It’s not that bad,” said Jace. “Not that bad? Look at yourself!” said Yoel as he poked at the bruises on his face.

“Did you know who’s behind all this?” asked Yoel out of nowhere.

“Why did you say so?” said Jace as he looked up at him.

Yoel seoffed and said, “I could tell. You’re not the kind of person who takes a beating lying down. I think you know who did this to you.”

Zayne explained the entire incident in great detail to Yoel. It was no simple assault, the entire thing was unusual.
