A Relentless Pursuit for Love novel Chapter 153

Chapter 153

Sage’s face darkened as Jace opened his mouth. She asked with an annoyed tone, “Jace, don’t be greedy now. You said I only had to promise one thing?”

Jace replied, “You said other than remarrying me, you would promise anything else.”

Sage wanted to punch him in the face again.

He had always been good at loopholes. Pfft, what a cunning businessman,

Sage squinted her eyes and looked at him in silence. Jace stared right back at her. They remained staring at each other for quite a while before Sage looked the other way.

She was cursing Kane for always causing trouble in her heart. Sage rubbed her fingertips and said slowly, “Mr. Yuriel, please think carefully before you make any more requests. If you forced my hand, who knows what I’ll do next,” Sage tried to bargain.

Jace smiled and said, “Don’t be nervous now, it won’t be something crazy. I guarantee it will be something you can manage.”

Sage scoffed. She didn’t really believe that

Jace touched his forehead and yelled in pain, “Doctor said I sustained a concussion and some blood clots might have already formed in my brain. Those hooligans hit me badly on the head and my face. My wounds are all so obvious, I can’t even hide it…”

Sage clenched her teeth as she saw him pretending to be pitiful. He should’ve been an actor in Holywood instead of managing a business.

“Fine, stop acting now. Tell me what you want,” said Sage.

“I want you to accompany me,” replied Jace with a smirk.

Sage looked at him bleakly and said, “I’m already accompanying you now.” “You’re too far away,” Jace made space on his bed and said, “Come lie down with me.

Sage was stunned and finally blurted out, “Are you kidding me now?”

Jace immediately tumed and said as Sage looked like she was about to eat him up, “You misunderstood me. I don’t mean it that way, just wanted you to feel more comfortable… Don’t worry, I won’t touch you.”

He looked like a little boy explaining his actions.

Sage said she rolled her eyes, “I don’t need to get on your bed to get comfortable.”

There was only one bed in the private room. Sage ordered the hospital staff to bring in a foldable bed and instructed her personal assistant to get her some essential items for the night.

“Fine, I’ll be here tonight. You can relax now.” Sage said with her teeth gritted. Jace seemed to enjoy it a little too much. He felt that it was almost worth it to take up a beating if it meant spending the night with Sage.

The night was getting dark. Sage was obsessed with taking care of her skin. She took off her makeup in the hospital washroom. She walked into the ward with her beautiful bare skin, and Jace gasped at her beauty.

He hadn’t seen that face in a long time.

For three years, she barely had any makeup when she was at home. But ever since the divorce, she’d always put on heavy makeup t o look more powerful.

With or without makeup, Sage was still stunning as ever. Seeing as Jace stared into her without blinking, Sage snapped at him, “What are you staring at?”
