A Relentless Pursuit for Love novel Chapter 169

Chapter 169

The entire Salem City was as busy as a bee preparing for the Annual Rose Festival. As a city full of ancient history, Salem was never short of tourists. With the remodeling of historical buildings, antique markets, and the Annual Rose Festival, the tourism industry boomed.

The month of May was a beautiful time to be in Salem.

Jace was finally discharged from the hospital, his wounds were all scabbed nicely and the bandages were removed as well. The bruises on his face had healed, and he looked as dapper as always.

That day, he wore a casual suit, they were black slacks with a white shirt. He looked fresh and clean like a college kid. Sage, on the other hand, dressed in a black tee-shirt with white-colored ripped jeans. Her shoulder-length hair split into two ponytails and she looked playful and cute.

They did not discuss their outfits, yet they coincidentally they dressed like a couple with matching clothes.

Sage was distracted by all the various kinds of roses along the streets. It had been three years since she came to the Rose Festival.

The Rose Festival never used to be this big of an event. It was a ruse to upsell the roses, that was all. It used to be like a floral market back then, but now it had grown into a full-fledged event Bouquets of roses and rose scented items filled up the streets of Salem City

Jace saw Sage hover over an orange-colored rose named Charlotte Lady and lost track of reality as his eyes gleamed at her.

Sage was drawn in to the scent and only looked when she heard someone speak. “Please wrap this up.” It was Jace who broke her out of it.

She felt slightly embarrassed and asked, “These roses are beautiful right?”

“To be honest?” Jace furrowed his brows, as Sage tilted her head thinking he was going to start one of his speeches again. Sage looked disinterested until she heard him continue on, “I think you’re much more beautiful.”

Sage was astounded as she looked at Jace with her mouth agape. –

He did not just say that!

The florist handed over the bouquet to Jace and said with a wrinkly smile, “He’s a smooth-talker, Charlotte Lady roses represent fiery and long-lasting love. I wish you all the best with your lady.”

“Thank you,” said Jace as he took the bouquet and placed it into Sage’s arms, “These are for you, Miss Norah.”

Sage tilted her head and look at the neatly arranged bouquet, “Do I have to be with you if I take this?”

Jace let out a forced smile and said, “No, of course not.” He did not wish to be hopeful that a bouquet of roses will change Sage’s mind.

“I’ll take it then,” said Sage. She had always been a direct person. Jace satisfyingly smiled as they continued wandering around the streets
