A Relentless Pursuit for Love novel Chapter 184

Chapter 184

On the drive home, Jace held her hand tightly in hers, with no intentions of letting go.

No matter how hard Sage glared at him, he was not willing to let go of her hand.

Jace had used a truckload of excuses to keep holding her hand.

It was when they finally arrived at Skye Hotel that Jace unwillingly let go of her hand. She realized that her hand was moist from the contact.

“See you later.” Jace was still staring at her.

Sage replied indifferently, “See you.”

Jace was still in the passenger seat, showing no signs of getting out of the car. Staring at her, he asked, “Aren’t you forgetting something?”

Furrowing her brows, Sage was puzzled. “What?”

Jace pointed at his lips. “Don’t normal couples kiss each other when they part ways?”

Who said they were dating?

Narrowing her eyes, Sage seethed, “I don’t mind giving you a lift to Hell.”

Jace got out of the car as he watched Sage’s car disappear from his view. He felt lost and wistful.

She sure was a ruthless and cold-hearted woman.

The wistfulness in his eyes was quickly replaced by a newfound determination. Jace thought to himself that he had made big progress.

When there’s a will, there’s a way.

Jace was confident that he would be able to convince her heart.

Since Yoel was also at Salem City, with the three leaders of the racecourse project in town, the project officially launched.

The contract clearly stated the responsibilities of each party and because all three parties had carried out their part accordingly, the project was going on well. Jace had been staying at Salem City for almost half a month and he had to return to Nadeem City soon.

“I need to attend to some urgent matters at my company so I’ll be flying back to Nadeem City this afternoon.”

On the drive back to the city from the northern Suburbs, Jace reported to Sage.

With a polite yet businesslike tone, Sage replied, “You should return and not worry about the things here. The racecourse project is wrapping up soon, as for the rest, I’m sure Mister Yoel and I will be able to see to it.”

Staring intently at Sage, Jace added, “I’m afraid that I might need to stay in Nadeem City for longer this time. Perhaps about half a month.”

Sage frowned. He clearly lectured Zayne on having to be specific when giving information and avoid using words like ‘might’,’ perhaps’, and ‘like so’. So what was he doing right now?

“Nadeem City is your hometown and you should stay for as long as you like.”

Sage’s voice carried no hints of emotions or unwillingness and this disappointed Jace a little.

He thought that Sage would have started to rely on him after their time spent together in the past few weeks.

It seemed that he still had a long way to go. Jace let out a sigh softly. Holding her hand in his, Jace asked, “Will you miss me when I’m gone?”
