Chapter 185

“No.”

Shaking off his hand, she replied coldly, “I’ll finally have some free time to myself once you’re gone.”.

In the past few weeks, Jace had been using every opportunity to pursue her to the point that her employees at work could tell that he was interested. Some of the employees at Rosa Garden even thought that he was her boyfriend. Sage had been trying hard to keep her frustration and rage in check.

She did not realize that Jace could be this clingy. Could it be that he was this clingy with Sienna too and this was actually his true color?

Sage who had always thought that he knew Jace well suddenly did not think so anymore.

At least in the past few weeks, he had completely disproved every single thing that she knew about him.

Even though he knew that Sage might not miss him, but hearing her say it out loud this bluntly broke his heart. He tightened his grip around her hand and furrowed his brows.

T’ll miss you”Jace smiled Wanting to kiss Sage, he leaned into her.

Sage instinctively avoided him. However, Jace did not plan to let her go this easily. Locking his hand on the back of her head, he forcefully pressed his lips on hers.

Sage was immediately caught off guard as Jace parted her lips, allowing his tongue to slip inside.

That bastard!

Reaching out her hand, Sage wanted to hit him but her wrist was grabbed and locked behind her back. Yet at the same time, Jace did not stop kissing her and this angered Sage. Sage bit down hard on his lips until the both of them tasted blood, it was then that Jace finally let go of her.

Jace’s lips were tom with blood seeping out but he did not seem to mind. Sucking on his lips softly, he looked at her and pulled into a smile.

Glaring at him in disbelief, Sage thought that he had finally gone nuts.

Why in the world did she fall for a nutjob like him back then?

Jace was finally back in Nadeem City.

When Sage heard the news from Hunter, she was in the middle of going through some paperwork. She simply nodded and attended a meeting with the jewelry designing team.

“We have the design sketches, right? Let me have a look.”

Hunter handed the sketches to Sage and the head of design stood right next to her as she explained everything to Sage meticulously. When they reached the final design, the head of design said, “This was by Leah Norah. It was not included in the nomination list at first but I thought that her work was decent, so I added it last minute.”

With no changes in her expression, she asked, “Tell me, why do you think her work is decent?”

The head of design gave a detailed analysis of Leah’s sketch – from the skills, to the theme, to the elements that she incorporated, and finally ended with a conclusion, “It’s a fairly ingenious and creative work, I must say. I personally like it a lot.”

The best compliment that one designer could receive was that their work was described as ingenious.

Sage tugged at the corners of her lips. “It’s rare that you’re giving such a high compliment.”

The head of design shrugged her shoulders. “I’m just telling the truth. Even though Leah is your cousin, she is also my pupil. I don’t care if people think that we’re biased, what’s most important is that we keep a talent like her here with us.”

“If that is the case, why was this work not included in the nominated list?”

The head of design replied, “Leah must have secretly sketched this. I accidentally found this in her drawer and it was only then she admitted to it. So I took the liberty and added her to the nomination list.”

Sage smiled. “She’s lucky to have a teacher like you.”

The head of design replied, “But how unlucky she is to have such a father.”

Hunter, who was standing at a side tried to give an eye to the head of design but she ignored him. Sage’s face hardened gradually.” What’s going on? Is Zane up to no good again?”:
