As every single person in the room stared at her, Gwyneth sat casually on the rotating chair and looked unfazed, as if she did not hear a single word Ivan said.

She was wearing a burgundy velvet dress, and her neck was decorated with a pearl necklace. Her long silky hair was treated with care, and she had a jade bangle on her left wrist. On her finger, she had a large sapphire ring, and all these items she wore could be exchanged for a house for the common folks. She also had two bodyguards that stood tall behind her.

Looking at Gwyneth, no one would ever think she was a lowly whore from the countryside. Everyone thought she was from some prestigious family because of how poised she was.

Now they know that the rumors were false. She had an ugly past.

Gwyneth seemed to not care about that at all. She smiled lightly and said, “You don’t have to bite me like a mad dog, Ivan. You are a defected sissy, and you dare comment about my past?”

As she said it, Ivan’s face tumed green and he was about to hit her, but her bodyguards blocked the way and punched him in the face.

“What’s going on?”

Sage’s voice was heard coming from the back. Everyone started forming a way for her to pass through and greeted herrespectfully, “Hello, Miss Sage.”

Gwyneth set sight on her with her slanted eyes and smiled. As she saw Leah at the back, she smirked and looked down at her perfectly manicured fingernails.

“This is a company, not a place for you to start a fight!” Sage said in a stern voice.

She signaled for the bodyguards to let go of Ivan. They refused, and Sage walked towards them and a loud thumping sound was heard….

As Gwyneth looked up, the bodyguards flew right past her and she quickly left her seat.

They were wrestled down to the ground! And they were in so much pain, that they could not make any sound.

“I told you guys to let go of him.”

Sage wiped her hands on her pants and was still emotionless. She walked toward Ivan and she looked concerned, “Are you alright?”

Ivan touched his swollen cheek and said, “I’m fine, but Tilly ain’t looking that good. She was sent to the emergency ward and she was beaten half to death.”

Sage furrowed her brows and glanced at Hunter. Hunter nodded instantly and went to check on the situation at the hospital.

Gwyneth let out a fake smile and walked towards Sage, and held up her hands.

“So, you’re Sage. I heard Zane mentioned you a couple of times. Nice to finally meet you.”

Sage barely looked up at this woman and said, “First time meeting you and you have arranged such a gift for me, I should repay you something as your niece.”

As she said it, Sage raised her hands and tugged strongly at her pearl necklace.

The pearls of various sizes scattered on the floor and made a scattering sound as they fell, pitter-pattering everywhere. Gwyneth’s smiley face turned pale like a ghost.
