A Relentless Pursuit for Love novel Chapter 202

Chapter 202

Leah did not go easy on Gwyneth. Gwyneth who had gotten plastic surgery, her face was c overed with bruises and blood all over, almost disfigured.

She wanted to complain to Zane and hoped that Zane would back her up but at the sight of her bloodied and disfigured face, a startled Zane ran away from her.

Seeing how Zane ran away from her as if he had seen a ghost, anger gripped Gwyneth. She had a lot of pursuers but how did she end up together with a coward?

The Norahs were all good-for-nothing.

Gwyneth swore that she would return the humiliation that she received from Leah and Sage

earlier.

Holding back her anger, Gwyneth visited the plastic surgery hospital to get her face fixed. She made a call to Zane in the hospital, crying as she complained to him that Sage and Leah had teamed up to bully her, and she wanted Zane to take revenge for her. Zane did feel bad for running away from his wife. Now that his wife’s disfigured face was not in his sight, Zane was not that terrified anymore. Upon hearing his wife’s sobs, Zane suddenly mustered up his courage. “There, there, darling. Don’t cry anymore. How dare those brats bully my wife! I’ll go teach them a lesson right now!”

The three Norah sisters sat down at the dining table for dinner.

Yeva raised her hand intentionally to show off the engagement ring. The ten-carat diamond ring was dazzling and blinding under the faint yellow light but Sage and Leah looked as if they did not notice the ring and continued eating. Yeva thought to herself: ‘Are these two blind?” Yeva, who was getting impatient, cleared her throat loudly and asked Leah, “Leah, look at this ring, isn’t it pretty?”. Slightly blinded by the reflection of light from the diamond, Leah squinted and replied indifferently, “Not bad.”

“What do you mean it’s not bad? Julian traveled all the way to Italy and shopped around Florence just to pick out this ring for me.”

Happiness was written all over Yeva’s face as she looked lovingly at the ring. “He knew that I’ve always wanted to be treated like a princess and he had purposely gotten me one with a crown design. I swear I’ll love him to death!”

Drinking a spoonful of soup, Sage’s lips curled upwards. “As long as you don’t die from loving him too much.”

Yeva who was drowned in her feelings of happiness assumed that Sage was simply jealous of her, and scoffed arrogantly. “Yeva, are you getting married to Julian soon?” Nodding her head with a wide grin plastered on her face, Yeva replied, “Yeah! To be honest, I didn’t want to get married this fast as I’m still young, būt Julian seemed desperate to marry and even said that we should.. get married before it’s too late.”

“I think he meant before it’s too late for him to cheat on yo

Sage added, “Before you get married to him, make sure that you really know him. Do you even know how many women he was ‘acquainted with? It’d be bad if you get any sex-related disease from him.”

her wound

ok of uncomfortableness flashed across Yeva’s face. She started to get anxious. “Sage, it’s fine if you don’t want to give me your blessings for my wedding but how could you think of cursing me? Do you enjoy someone else’s misfortune this much? I understand that it might be uncomfortable for you that I’m marrying Julian.” Tugging slightly at the corners of her lips, Sage replied, “You’ve misunderstood. I do think that the both of you are quite a pair made in heaven.” Yeva looked at her skeptically. She guessed that Sage was going to say something nasty. Indeed, Yeva heard her saying, “After all, feathers of a bird flock together.”
