A Vengeful Girl novel Chapter 291

Lily loved the company of other people, so she was quite happy when Linda offered to come with her.

Because of this, sketching was now something she looked forward to.

If Linda went with her, Nelson would surely tag along as a bodyguard. Lily had always wanted to spend more time with him.

Nelson felt the same way.

When Lily said that she would do sketches outside, Nelson almost blurted out that he wanted to accompany her, but he had to stay in the Nalan mansion and protect Linda.

Now that Linda was going, he had a reason to go with them. Protecting Lady Linda and spending time with Lily at the same time was the best of both worlds for him.

After dinner.

"I'd like to buy some painting materials. Can you go with me, Linda?" Lily asked.

Although they usually kept a low profile, the Nalan clan lived in the center of SH City, not in the suburbs.

"I thought you are an art student. Aren't you already supposed to have the materials and tools?" Linda teased. "What do you do in class then?"

With a wry smile, Lily replied, "Of course I have. But I left those in my former place. I would rather buy some new ones than go back to take them."

Linda understood that some light exercise was good for her pregnancy, so she agreed to Lily.

Nelson followed them as usual. The market was near their house, but it was still about a 20-minute walk. He would be at peach if he went with them.

Not to mention Lord Nalan declared that Linda was to be accompanied by a bodyguard wherever she went.

The three people went out of the Nalan mansion.

It was March. The weather was cold after sunset, so they quickly went back after buying some basic paint materials.

Linda might catch a cold if they didn't.

Amy was a little bit better now. She can at least sit up and talk.

She had no idea how long her fracture would recover. On one hand, not being able to shower during the winter wasn't bad at all, but on the other hand, having herself cleaned with only a towel was such a torture for her.

"Time for medicine, my lady. Her Ladyship ordered a bone soup for you." Holding onto a bowl of bone soup and some light dishes, a servant of the Qi Clan entered Amy's room.

Amy frowned. Not again. As a certified meat lover, going on such a light diet was killing her.

"Get out."

With her face turning pale, the servant replied, "Her Ladyship said that you must eat them all, my lady."

"No way! Take them out!"

"My lady, please don't..."

Sarah appeared when Amy was about to lose her temper. She told the servant to just leave the food and leave.

Relieved, the servant placed the food down on a table and rushed quickly out of the room.

Sarah took the medicine and the meal herself to Amy, "How can you do this to your body, Amy? You do know that you can only deal with Haley after you recover, right?"

Amy knew Sarah's words made sense, but she can't stand to eat them anymore.

Sarah continued, "How about this? If you eat these, I will tell you some good news."

"What good news?"

"Eat first, " Sarah kept Amy in suspense.

Holding on to Sarah's words, Amy began eating the plain congee with vegetables. She had been having light meals because she wasn't supposed to eat greasy things.

It took her ten minutes to finish it.

With a relieved sigh, she finally finished the bone soup and the medicine, and hurried to ask, "What's the good news, Sarah? Tell me now."

"Our source said that Haley went out with two people today."

Amy was a little disappointed, "How is that good news?

Isn't it normal for people to go out? She can't be out without any bodyguard. There is no way to kill her easily."

Sarah smiled and asked Amy to be patient.

"Let me finish. Do you know where they went?"

Sarah continued. Amy listened patiently.

"They went to a stationery store and bought some tools and materials for painting."

"Why did Haley buy things like those? Does she feel so bored that painting became her new hobby?" Amy said, rolling her eyes.

"Those things weren't for her. I did a background check of the woman with her. The woman was named Lily, a student of C University. The painting stuff must have belonged to her because she majors in computer science and minors in arts."

"Get to the point, Sarah. Does it have anything to do with us?"

"Sure. You wanted me to get close to Haley, right? This is the perfect chance. My source said that Lily was assigned to sketch plants by her art professor. Buying painting stuff means that they will surely go out to finish the homework. If Haley goes out with her, it would be an opportunity for me to meet her."

Everything became perfectly clear to Amy now.

"You mean that they will certainly do the sketches outside? Since the assignment is about plants, it is very possible that they will have to go to a nearby botanical garden, right?"

"Yes."

"And you'll 'accidentally' run into them there? "

"You are so clever, Amy."

"What's your plan?"

Sarah then whispered...
