A Vengeful Girl novel Chapter 106

"Then marry Sarah Shen if you want to satisfy your father. Leave Bun alone." replied Linda sourly.

"Well, I prefer to choose my wife on my own. And did you see those well-born ladies he tried to set me up with? I like none of them. And I really think Bun is a nice girl." Brian Ho invited himself in and sat down casually on the couch, squinting at Linda with his legs crossed.

"Oh, knock it off."

"Come on, Linda. Just let me try."

"It's not my decision to make. I think Bun is the one you should ask. If she likes you and wants to marry you, then I'm perfectly OK with it. But there's nothing I can help if she doesn't!"

Linda put down the textbook and then held her head while answering him.

"Great, that's all I need from you. And I'll take it as a yes. And by the way, you haven't told me where Bun is. I wanna ask her out for a date."

In case Linda misunderstood his intention, Brian Ho then added, "Relax! I promise I'll behave myself."

Linda looked up at the clock on the wall, noticing that it had already passed ten.

She remembered that Charles Mu said Bun would be home at noon.

So she replied, "Bun is training the freshmen at the police officers academy. She will probably be back by noon! But she will go to the bookstore with me when she gets back. You can ask her out after that."

"No big deal, Linda. I can take you to the bookstore. I know Charles left Bun to you as protection. But you see, I can do it as well, and I'm sure I'm just as capable as Bun. And I can go find Bun after we've done shopping."

Linda thought about his proposal and found it would do.

Bun left early in the morning, and a whole morning of training would definitely wear her out.

Linda was planning to go out with Bun after she got home.

Now that Brian Ho was here and he had offered to help, why not go to the bookstore with him and then they could pick Bun up on their way back.

Linda had always treated Bun as her sister rather than a servant, and therefore she was happy with the plan.

"Alright, let's do this."

"OK, let's go. And Linda, you looked very attractive today." Brian Ho smiled at Linda while playing the key between his fingers.

Linda might have been bewitched by his smile if she hadn't been engaged to Charles Mu. Brian Ho's smile was way too enchanting that Linda couldn't even put into words how she actually felt at the moment. The only thing she could be sure was that he was a dangerous sexy trap waiting for careless women.

However, Linda had already settled down with Charles Mu. She would still appreciate other men but nothing more. Her heart belonged to Charles Mu.

But she also knew exactly how much women would go crazy for a man like Brian Ho. The last time they met, Bun ran away with flushed face. So Linda thought Bun probably couldn't resist his charm as well.

Linda quickly changed and brought along the book list she made earlier, and then left the villa with Brian Ho.

Hardly had they stepped out of the door when Linda saw a blue limited Lamborghini parked in front of the house. She couldn't help letting out a deep sign and wondered why they all seemed obsessed with Lamborghini. Weren't they afraid of the windows being smashed by some cynical passerby when they parked a Lamborghini on the street?

Brian Ho walked to the passenger side and opened the door for Linda, and then he held out his hand with a smile, "Please!"

"Thanks, Brian." Linda gracefully accepted his chivalrous gesture and got in the car.

Brian Ho then got into the driver's side and started up the vehicle. And he said to Linda, "You know what? I hardly open the door myself for any woman. You are the first, and I think going forward, I will do the same for Bun too."

"You are just saying it."

Bun got up at 5:30 in the morning. She had been receiving the invitation from the local police officers academy on October for years. And she was getting used to being with the rookies as their instructor at this time of the year.

Actually she was quite enjoying it, for she could really stretched herself out while training them.

They lived in a peaceful country, and therefore there was hardly any chance that Bun could put herself on the battle field, and so the training seemed like a perfect opportunity for Bun to sharpen up her skills.

Bun was on the training ground at 6 o'clock sharp, waiting for her students.

The trainees this year looked just as lively as their predecessors were. However, Bun noticed a familiar face among them.

It was Sarah Shen.

Sarah Shen was frozen when she saw Bun. And Bun almost burst into laughters at her stunned look.

However, Bun was also surprised to see Sarah Shen there. Lord Shen did mentioned that he would send Sarah Shen back to the police officers academy for a while, but she didn't expect to find her on the training ground with freshmen.

"Why? Why are you here?"

"Why can't I be here? And don't you know that you are not allowed to talk unless permitted by your instructor?" Bun crossed her hands on her back, looking extremely handsome in her uniform.

"Why can't I talk?"

Sarah Shen was pissed off. She felt so angry and distressed when her grandfather told her to go back to the academy and go over again the training courses.

And what's worse, her instructor was that servant of Linda Xia's.

How was Sarah Shen supposed to know that Charles Mu would give a major to Linda Xia as her maid. How could Sarah Shen possibly know about that before she hit Bun?

"Because I'm your instructor and I said so. Now shut up and back to your position, "

Said Bun while looking at Sarah Shen. She had no interest in picking on Sarah Shen on such an occasion.

Sarah Shen had got the punishment she deserved and so Bun had nothing against her unless she troubled Linda again.

Sarah Shen was not stupid. She learnt her lessons and knew how ranks worked in this place. Since Bun was her instructor, she could only swallow her fury and went back to the line.

Only that Sarah Shen accidentally stepped on someone's foot when she got back to her position. Though the person didn't say anything, Sarah Shen's face went completely red with embarrassment.

The others couldn't help tittering.

Bun shouted at them with a fierce stare, "What are you laughing at? Look at yourselves. This is ridiculous! Now attention. Number off!"

"One, two, three, four..."

Apart from those whose parents had connections, people admitted by the academy were strictly selected. They were disciplined and well-trained. Once they heard Bun's order, they started to number off in an orderly fashion.

Bun glanced over them when they were done. It was in the morning and she didn't have to worry about her students getting sunstroke while running. So she gave the order, "Now run around the track. Ten laps to warm up!"

What the heck?

Sarah Shen was stunned. A lap was 1312ft, and ten laps would be 2.4 miles... How could she make it?

Sarah Shen didn't even took part in the training when she was a freshman. However, Lord Shen was determined about the matter, and it seemed Sarah Shen couldn't find a way to skip it this time.

"Are you kidding us? 2.4 miles to warm up? Are you trying to kill us?"
