A Vengeful Girl novel Chapter 149

Linda and Bonny looked at each other in astonishment.

They couldn't imagine what John had experienced to think like that.

"Why? You are young. There are a lot of wonderful things in life waiting for you!" Linda said.

"My parents don't love me or care about me at all. Making money is the only thing in their minds. They seldom come home every month. I am always alone at home. I don't know what I am living for or what I want to do in future. I don't want to become someone like my parents..."

John lowered his head again. Seeing John's sad expression, Linda felt sorry for him.

"Why do your parents seldom come back home every month." Linda asked.

"Because they are busy making money. Money is the most important thing for them. They are never willing to spend time with me. Every time they come home, they leave soon after giving me money and having a short conversation with the nanny."

John's voice trembled with emotion.

Hearing John's words, Linda sighed with profound resignation.

"John's parents should have cared about him more even if they are really busy", she thought.

"Director Li may have called your parents. They will be here soon."

"Humph. They won't come. They won't spare the time to come here."

"Don't think like that. Every parent cares about their children. What's more, we are living for ourselves, and not for our parents. Do you know why you are coming to school for education?"

"I don't know. Besides, I don't want to come to school at all."

"Let me tell you. We come to school for ourselves, for our own future, not for our parents. Do you know what's the difference between human beings and pigs?"

John was dumbstruck by Linda's question. He didn't know how to answer it.

"The difference between human beings and pigs is that we humans not only look for food but also happiness. While the only two things pigs do are eating and sleeping...How about you? Have you ever thought about what do you want to do in future?"

"In future... I want to establish a bigger company than my parents' and then buy my parents' company. I will take revenge for my unhappy childhood."

Speaking of that, John became sombre. Only he himself knew how lonely and painful he had been over the years.

Did anyone remember now that John was the student with the highest score among freshmen three years ago?

"But if you don't have much knowledge, how would you establish a company and defeat your parents? So what you need to do now is to study hard!"

Linda didn't want to see John going astray. He was the best student in the class.

By the way, Linda was curious about Mrs. Tang, the computer teacher who wronged John. She wanted to see what kind of a person she was who would be so cruel to a student.

School was over at half past 4?PM.

But It was already past 6 PM. John's parents still didn't show up.

Linda asked director Li to call John's parents again.

Director Li shrugged her shoulders and said John's parents refused to come to the school until she told them John might be dismissed from the school.

But they couldn't make it immediately. They would arrive at 8 PM.

Linda was a little upset. She couldn't believe she had to work overtime on her first working day. Actually, she could get off work on time. But she wanted to accompany John to wait for his parents and then talk with his parents about John's situation.

Linda received Charles's phone call at around 7 PM.

Charles asked, "Linda, do you get off work. Why aren't you home yet? School is over at half past four, isn't it?"

"Yes. But I am giving company to a student now. His parents?will come and pick him up later. I will be home at around eight or nine o'clock maybe."

"All right. I will set out to pick up you at eight o'clock."

"It's OK. Bonny will accompany me."

Linda knew Charles must be tired after work. She wanted Charles to have a good rest at home.

"I will wait for you at the school gate after eight o'clock." Charles insisted to pick Linda up.
