"Sarah's father was crippled for life while rescuing me? How could I know nothing about it?" Brian Ho asked in astonishment.

He was kidnapped when he was a child. He had no memory of it.

"Of course, you forgot the whole thing, because you were only two years old when that happened."

Brian Ho's mind was in turmoil. He did not know how to deal with it.

"Grandfather, please let me alone. I need time to digest all of this..."

"Fine, Brian. Sarah and her grandfather are in the hall now. Why not hang out with her after dinner? Sarah is your fiancee and you two are going to marry each other after one month. So I think you must get to know her. Then you probably would find how interesting she is and fall in love with her. That's how the relationship between your grandmother and me developed."

"I see, grandfather. But now leave me alone, please."

Brian's grandfather left the room. Brian lay on his bed and jumped up some minutes later.

Brian went to the bathroom and looked himself at the mirror. What he saw was a slovenly man with swollen eyes. His face was covered with the stubble.

Brian Ho said to himself, "Brian, This cannot go on. Where is that good-looking young man that you were? If you don't change, how could you marry your beloved Bun?"

It took Brian half an hour to tidy himself up, and afterwards he became the same old, attractive young man again.

Both Bun and Brian had to work hard to break down barriers between them. Brian didn't know whether Bun had the same feelings. But he was sure that he is ready to give up anything for her. Brian wanted to meet Bun immediately.

Even though Sarah Shen's father had rescued him, he couldn't marry Sarah out of gratitude.

Besides, it was totally accidental that his parents died in the war. It's not Bun's fault.

He was not able to figure out a way to deal with the mess yet. But he was sure that now he couldn't just simply turn Sarah down. At least, her father was so kind to him.

Brian went to the hall. His grandfather and Lord Shen were having a chat. Sarah Shen was sitting next to them silently with a smile.

Upon seeing Brian, Sarah Shen let out a cry of surprise, "Brian!"

Brian Ho nodded at her with an impassive face.

"Brian, why not ask Sarah out?"

"Fine."

Sarah Shen was a little bit confused by Brian's attitude. Why did he agree so readily? It was unexpected. She couldn't figure out why.

"We'll go after dinner." Brian Ho said.

He was glad that there was an opportunity to go out. After his grandfather caught him when he sneaked out last time, his grandfather had more people keeping an eye on him.

It would be nice if he could see Bun when he hangs out with Sarah Shen.

During the dinner, there were many dishes that Brian's grandfather ordered the maid to

Cook for him. But none of them seemed to interest Brian really. He was planning what he is going to do and say after meeting Bun.

The person who felt most excited was Sarah Shen. It was so incredible that Brian Ho agreed to date with her. Did it mean that Brian is now interested in her?

Thinking about this, Sarah Shen felt ecstatic.

It was a good start, she thought. She believed that there's no way Brian could turn down her, a good-looking woman from a rich family, once Brian gets to know her.

When Sarah Shen was in the middle of her dinner, Brian Ho rose to his feet and squinted at her through lidded eyes, asking, "Shall we go now? Otherwise it would be too late and the shopping malls would be closed."

"OK, I am done." Sarah Shen felt excited. She picked up a napkin to wipe her lips and hurried out with Brian. But she didn't notice the disgust on Brian's face.

While Brian was driving, Sarah Shen sat next to him and asked sweetly, "Brian, where will we go?"

"We will go to a special place." Brian Ho answered with a wicked smile. He looked at Sarah Shen and stretched out his hand to pinch Sarah's chin. Brian said, "Are you looking forward to go there with me?"

This was the first time Brian Ho ever sat close to her since he came back from the Army. Sarah Shen's heart leapt with joy. But she protested in a romantic voice, "Brian, you are wicked."

It made Brian feel sick. But he managed to smile and said, "Well, let's skip the shopping mall and go directly to the special place. How about that?"

Sarah Shen nodded. Her eyes lit with excitement and she said, "OK! I don't care where we go as long as I can be with you!"

The car was running along. Sarah Shen looked at Brian Ho and marveled at how charming he was.

But for some reason she conjured up the image of Bun and began to feel nervous.

But she thought in smug satisfaction, "Brian is with me now. He will soon marry me. The bitch would lose."

Brian Ho turned around and asked, "Why there is a scar on your nose? What happened?"

Sarah Shen opened and shut his mouth at once. She didn't speak. Brian found the way she reacted amusing and said again, "Come on, tell me!

Did anyone beat you? Tell me and I will get back at the person for you."

"Really?"

"Of course, I am serious."

"It was Bonny Lu..."

It turned out to be his dear Bun. Brian felt like laughing, but he held it back. He then asked, "Did it hurt a lot?"

"Of course, it did! The woman was nasty. She was jealous and beat me! What she did to me was horrible. But don't worry. Grandfather will get back at her for me."

Sarah Shen was pleased with the fact that Brian Ho cared for her so much. The dislike towards Bun in her heart faded.

The car stopped in front of a luxury hotel.

"Brian, you..."

Sarah Shen thought of something exciting when she saw the hotel.

Did Brian Ho bring her here to have sex with her?

"You really don't know what I want?" Brian Ho said with a naughty smile. He was going to let Sarah Shen make it out herself.
