The little girl was standing there with her hands on her hip, threatening them, "If you don't tell me, I'll tell my daddy that you are bullying me!"

None of them replied to Melissa's question. She then went toward the door, but one of the designers there hastily grabbed her by her hand, and said, "Your daddy found a stepmother for you! She's at the 88th floor, and her name is Shirley Zheng. Dear baby, I've already told you all about it. Please don't tell your father that we've bullied you, okay?"

The little girl rolled her eyes instantly, and then she giggled, and patted the designer's hand. She reassured her, and said, "Don't worry! Sister, you look beautiful. I won't tell my daddy!"

This wimpy kid had really changed her face fast! They thought that the girl might actually have the potential talent to become a famous actress some day.

The designer was happy to be praised as being beautiful.

Melissa then scanned around the designer's department, but she didn't find Spark anywhere. She then ran out of the department herself.

The whole SL Group staff had known by now about the girl, and on her way to the 88th floor, a lot of people greeted and helped her.

Melissa went to the elevator's door, and a worker helped her press the button that went up to the 88th floor.

At the 88th floor

Melissa had just ran out of the elevator and walked into the secretary department. She was acting just like an adult, with her arms crossed in front of her chest, and her lips curled. She asked the secretaries working there, "Who is Shirley Zheng?"

Shirley then stood up from her seat and looked at Melissa. When she saw her, she began feeling distressed.

She had known that this girl was Janet and Daniel's child.

But this girl was too lovely, and she didn't hate her at all. She answered her, "I'm Shirley. Baby, what's up with you up here?"

Melissa crooked her finger to her. Then, the other secretaries burst into laughter, and wondered what this wimpy kid was actually going to do.

Shirley walked up to Melissa, and while crouching, she looked at her with a smile on her face. She greeted her, "Hello!"

Melissa scanned Shirley from head to toe. Finally, she seemed to reach a conclusion, and said, "You're not in your best shape, and you aren't half as pretty as my mommy. Why will you become my stepmother?"

Hearing Melissa's words about Shirley becoming her stepmother, the other secretaries didn't feel surprised at all, because they had all known that Shirley was Daniel's fiancee. What had really shocked them was that a two-year-old girl could make a sarcastic remark to Shirley. They were so shocked that they all stood with their mouths wide open.

They also wondered if Mr. Si's child was indeed a two-year-old girl.

When Shirley heard the child say that she was less beautiful than her real mother, she felt angry and embarrassed.

But even though she was angry, she wasn't so stupid as to offend Daniel's daughter.

She said, "Be a good girl, I have to go back to work now. Have fun around here." Shirley then went back to her seat, with her face all darkened up.

At that moment, the elevator opened, and Melissa turned around and saw a woman come out of it.

Miss Qin instantly went over to her, and inquired, "Excuse me? Who are you?"

Sabina raised her chin, and repeated her words, "I'm here to see Daniel!"

"Have you made an appointment in advance?" Miss Qin asked her in a courteous voice.

She thought to herself, 'What are the people at the ground floor receptionist's desk doing? How can they let anyone, coming from nowhere, come up to the 88th floor? Aren't they afraid of Mr Si?'

Sabina had been acquainted with one of the workers down at the receptionist's desk. This was how she had reached the 88th floor, through her internal acquaintance.

"I'm Daniel's girlfriend. Why do I need an appointment?" While she said this, Sabina then walked toward the CEO's office.

Miss Qin took a glance at Shirley, and then she hastily stopped Sabina, and said, "Miss, our boss is not in the office. Please wait here, you can't enter the CEO's office right now."

Sabina felt annoyed, and she took a glance at the troublesome secretary, and yelled, "What do you mean? I'm his girlfriend. Why can't I go in right now? Are you looking down upon me?"

Shirley had initially wanted to go up to them, but when she saw that Melissa was unhappy, she sat back on her seat.

"No, I am not. Everything in the CEO's office may contain some confidential information, and if anything would slip out of that office, then that wouldn't a nice scenario for you! Please, just wait here for some time!" Again, Miss Qin tried to persuade her in a polite voice. She had worked for Daniel for many years, and she of course wouldn't be so stupid to offend any of Daniel's guests.

More than that, the woman had stated that she was Daniel's girlfriend...

Miss Shirley, Daniel's fiancee, still didn't say anything, and Miss Qin thought that she had better be courteous to her.

But unexpected it, Sabina suddenly raised her hand and slapped Miss Qin's face. She scolded her, "Mind your words, worker! What did you mean when you said 'if anything would slip out'? Did you mean that I might do something bad to harm Daniel?"

Having been just slapped, Miss Qin felt very aggrieved, and she covered her hurting face with her hand. This had been the first time in her long experience in the company, that she had met with such an unreasonable woman.

Even Janet, who had been known as being an arrogant, and a wayward, true upper-class girl, and also Mr. Si's true lover, still wouldn't have had the nerve to treat Miss Qin like that.

But this woman, who had appeared out of nowhere and had called herself Mr. Si's girlfriend, had the nerve to be unreasonable and to bully others at her own free will.

Taking a deep breath inside, Miss Qin looked at Sabina with a cold look, and asked, "Did you say that you were Mr. Si's girlfriend? Do you think that any woman can be our boss's girlfriend? Look at Miss Shirley, she's even our boss's fiancee! Miss, I'll have to ask you to leave at once!"

Sabina glanced at the direction behind her, and she saw Shirley calmly sitting on her seat. Their eyes met.

Sabina was now a little embarrassed, and she cursed in her mind, 'Damn you Shirley! You made me look so embarrassed!'

Sabina then raised her hand and was about to slap Miss Qin again, but a little figure suddenly ran up to Sabina, grabbed her by her other hand, and bit hard on it.

"Ouch! It hurts!" Sabina suddenly felt her hand hurt, and she drew back her hand, and shook Melissa away.

Melissa hit her hip on the ground and started crying. "Waaah!"

Oh, how terrible!

The five women in the secretary department then all stood up and ran towards Melissa. Sabina had gotten herself into some big trouble now!

Miss Qin was closest to Melissa. She knew that Melissa had bitten the woman in order to help her, so she hastily went to her, and held up the little girl in her arms.

"Where did this damn kid come from? You dare bite me, you brat!" yelled Sabina. She looked at the teeth markings on her hand, and intended to teach Melissa a lesson.

Miss Qin stepped back and stared at Sabina, and asked her, "Is there anything wrong in your brain? How could you want to hit an innocent kid? Do you know who's child this is?"

Miss Liu anxiously took out a lollipop from her bag and then handed it to Melissa. "Little princess, please don't cry. Come on, have a sweet lollipop!"

The secretaries surrounded the little girl and coaxed her, and Sabina suddenly had a bad feeling.

She remembered that Daniel had a daughter...

"I want my daddy! And my mommy. Waah... waah..." Melissa kept crying uncontrollably.

Then the elevator was opened again, and through it came Janet. She had come to return Daniel's car keys.

Immediately when she came out of the elevator, she heard the crying sounds of a child, and she felt that it sounded like Melissa's voice.

She then quickly went to the office's door and saw Miss Qin holding a sobbing child in her arms. Indeed, it was really Melissa!

Janet was anxious and ran up to them to hold Melissa in her arms.

"Mommy... waah... waah..." Except for Shirley, when all the other secretaries heard Melissa calling Janet mommy, they all covered their mouths in shock.

"My dear baby, mommy is here. Don't cry!" Janet anxiously comforted her crying daughter.
