After Being Cheating novel Chapter 374

While she was watching Fanny and Clay getting busy making tea and washing fruits, Janet suddenly hesitated for a moment, and thought of the real purpose of her visit there.

"Janet! Why didn't you come to our house? We wanted to visit you, but we were afraid that we might bother you… We're in the city because your uncle needs to see a doctor, and with this occasion we have also planned to visit you and give you all the special products that we brought for you, but we didn't expect you would come here today!" While speaking, Fanny pointed to some cloth bags and kindly smiled at Janet.

Without noticing Shirley's unusual expression on her face, Clay and Fanny chatted with Janet for a long time.

Finally, Janet took a deep breath, and said, "Auntie…"

But she was immediately interrupted by Shirley. "Janet, I have something to tell you!" she said.

Janet looked at Shirley, who had her eyes filled with fear, and while shaking her head, said, "I have something to tell auntie."

Pretending to be discontent, Fanny glared at her daughter, and said, "Shirley, let Janet speak first."

"Auntie, I'm getting married!" When Janet said this, she had to suppress all the incredible joy in her heart.

Fanny and Clay happily looked at each other, and joyfully said, "That's wonderful! What does he do? Is he good to you?" they asked.

"He… is good to me. We are deeply in love with each other, and we have two daughters." Janet didn't know how to say the rest.

Fanny took her hand, patted it, and said, "It's so good that he is nice to you. The most important thing for a woman is to find someone who truly loves her!"

Shirley's face went pale. Before she could stop her, Janet said, "But there is a woman… who kept on pestering my fiance, actually no, my husband. We've already got our marriage certificate."

Fanny had stayed in the village all her life, and she detested those who got involved in other people's marriages. Irritated, she said, "How can there be such a shameless woman! Janet, keep a close eye on your husband!"

Janet took a deep breath, and said, "Auntie, to be honest with you, I've already fallen out with Shirley, since she is that woman."

The whole apartment then suddenly fell in an awkward silence, and Janet saw that their faces turn from pale to dark.

After a long time, Fanny suddenly got up from the sofa, walked up to Shirley, and slapped her hard over her face.

Janet was startled by her action.

As she covered her painful face, Shirley burst into tears.

When she saw Shirley cry, Fanny cried too, but she still slapped her daughter's face again. Shirley's face became red and swollen instantly, indicating how hard Fanny had actually slapped her.

Janet sighed, and she quickly pulled Fanny from her, and said, "Auntie, I didn't want you to hit her. I just want you to persuade her not to make the same kind of mistakes again, because at a certain point, we used to be friends."

Fanny then suddenly kneeled in front of Janet, and said, "Janet, I'm sorry that I didn't teach her well…"

Janet hurried to lift her back up, and said, "Auntie, don't do this; please, stand up."

But Fanny was determined to keep her position. Clay stood up from the sofa, caught his daughter by the hand, and asked her to also kneel down in front of Janet. He then said, "Kneel to Janet and make an apology!"

… Janet was really worried this time.

"Uncle Zheng, please don't do this. Come on, ask auntie to stand up!" Janet had tried to persuade Fanny for several times, but she didn't want to stand up. Finally, with Roma's help, Janet managed to lift Fanny up from the ground.

Fanny looked at Janet with her heart broken, and said, "Janet, we are really sorry… You saved our lives, but my daughter.. returned your kindness with hatred. Janet… I'm sorry!"

Clay's body trembled out of anger. "Starting from today, Shirley is not a member of the Zheng family anymore! I will break all relations with her, I don't need such a shameless daughter in my life!"

They would be cast aside by the other villagers if they ever found out that his daughter had been involved in another's marriage, and more than that, trying to destroy their lifesaver's marriage. Clay was very angry with his daughter's behaviors.

"Dad! Please, don't. I was wrong! Dad…" Shirley couldn't speak clearly because of her swollen face.

"Don't call me dad! A man like me can never have such a shameless daughter like you!" said Clay, furiously.

"Dad!" screamed Shirley.

Janet, who was sitting opposite to Fanny, said, "Uncle, auntie, please don't be angry. In any case, Shirley was my friend before all of this, and if she agrees to leave here and never come back, I can forget all that ever happened."

Janet really didn't want to embarrass them that much. If she hadn't wanted to let Shirley off, she could have visited her parents in the village and let everyone know about what Shirley had done.

If she had done that, then they would have been cast aside and disdained by all the villagers.

Janet didn't want to do that to them.

Fanny felt very guilty, and said, "Janet, please don't worry! I'll take her back home today. From now on, she is forbidden to leave the village ever again."

"No, you don't need to do that. Just make sure that she won't come back and pester my husband again. That's all. After all, she is young and was a top student at school. If she stays in that village, her life would be ruined."

After hearing Janet's words, Fanny burst into tears, while Shirley was still kneeling at her feet, lost in her own thought. It seemed that now she had realized her mistake.

After Janet left, Shirley was still kneeling, thinking about all the things that had happened before.

Clay furiously stared at Shirley and slapped her face hard again, and asked, "Shirley Zheng, do you know now that you were wrong?"

Shirley face was numb because of the pain, and she nodded, and said, "I was wrong."

"Janet had risked her own life to save our family that time. You didn't return her kindness, and instead you tried to fight with her for her husband. How shameless can you be!" said Clay furiously.

"Dad, I was wrong…"

Shirley's heart ached. She had vowed to remember Janet's kindness for all of her life.

But she had completely forget it all since she met Daniel.

In the parking lot downstairs, Janet was sitting in the car, and while looking at the building in front of her, her eyes slightly began to redden.

It was alright to love someone, but Shirley had loved the wrong person, in a wrong way.

Janet wasn't the Virgin Mary, because she wouldn't make a concession or compromise when it came to Daniel.

Hopefully, Shirley would realize her mistakes and do the right thing.

The next day, while Janet was busy in her store, one of her sales guides said, "Boss, you are wanted outside."

"Okay!" said Janet. She took off her gloves and walked out of the cooking room.

The woman standing at the counter surprised her.

Even when she was wearing sunglasses, judging from her swollen face and tightly sealed lips, Janet quickly recognized that the woman was Shirley.

Without speaking anything to her, she then led her into a private room.

And knowing that Shirley was not a good person, Roma followed them in as well.
