Alpha Loren novel Chapter 87

December 18th

Leo's point of view

"Mess her hair up a bit more," I ordered Luciano as I held up my phone with the camera app on. We were in the southern territory prison and having chained Hestia up we were ready to send Achilles the news.

"Duck tape or cloth gag?" he asked.

"Definitely the gag. Duck tape is a bit construction worker that got bored in his lunch hour," I replied before looking at the terrified girl with a smirk.

Luciano stepped forward and seized her head before roughly tying the cloth around her face. He tied it tight.

"Satisfied?" he asked stepping out of the shot.

"It will do."

I took the photo of her and sent it straight to Achilles.

After the message had delivered I glanced up at Luciano, "You can untie her now."

"Really?" Luciano questioned, not showing any sighs of moving towards her.

"No, I just said it because I like the sound of my own voice," I remarked, "We got the photo and it's her husband we want to punish not her."

"Leonardo, it sounds like you are taking pity on her," Luciano replied taking the shackles of her wrists. "Maybe your Luna is changing you after all."

"My Luna is not changing me," I argued. "Even a complete monster could see that there is no need to keep a human girl chained and gagged. She's innocent and defenceless."

At that point, Luciano's phone began to ring as he removed the last chain.

"I've got to take this," he said before leaving the room.

"Are you going to hurt me?" she asked after the door had slammed shut and Luciano was out of earshot.

"Your fate depends on your husband's compliance," I replied.

"Compliance with what?"

"He's running me a little errand shall we say," I began. "However, I have my suspicions that he going to work against me, which is where you come in. Your safety is his incentive to do what I have ordered him to do. How much does your husband love you, sweetheart?"

She looked up at me with her large brown eyes, her bottom lip quivering.

"I don't know," she whispered, her voice shaky, "We've been married seven years and we have three kids."

I paused before nodding, "Well, hopefully that is enough."

I wasn't lying. I did hope that. She doesn't deserve to die but I can't go back on my threats. I have a reputation to maintain.

"How long are you keeping me here?" she asked, pulling her knees into her chest.

"Your husband has 46 hours and 4 minutes to return with my information."

"...and if he doesn't?"

"We'll worry about that when we come to it. There is no point in me telling you that now because you'll only get yourself all scared."

She paused.

"Should I be scared?"

"Fear never really helped anyone, sweetheart," I said as I looked down at her, "What is the point of being scared if it's not gonna get you anywhere?"

"How can I not be scared when that man wants to rape me and you are threatening to kill me if my husband doesn't complete whatever this task is after 48 hours!"

"My mother used to say 'È inutile piangere sul latte versato' which roughly translates from Italian to 'there is no use crying over spilt milk'. The milk has already been spilt. You can either get over it and enjoy your last moments before your parents get home and find out that you have wasted a week's worth of milk or you can roll on the floor getting milk all over your shirt and only making the situation worse."

"That makes no sense," she sobbed.

My face hardened again.

"Well, I fucking kidnapped you. Do you really expect me to put that much effort into comforting you?"

A few moments later Luciano came back in. His eyes were immediately all over Hestia.

"So what now?" he asked.

"Whilst we're here and sicne we have two days to wait, we might as well check up on the army training camps down here. You can come to," I said.

"Sure but first I'll just-" he began stepping closer to Hestia.

She pulled her knees even closer into her chest.

"No," I deadpanned. "If this guy proves to be successful, I may want to use his services again. If he comes back to find a spoilt wife he may not be so compliant which makes my job five times more difficult. So no. You may not touch her in any way without my permission. There are hundreds of girls that you can have but not her."

I then marched towards the door of the cell. Luciano hesitated for a moment. His eyes were dark and fixated on the girl.

"Luciano," I growled deeply. "Remember who the Alpha is here."

He eventually followed but not before looking Hesita up and down one more time. She closed her eyes tightly but not before a tear could escape.

"Luciano look what you have done. You made the poor little thing cry," I cooed as I returned to her, crouching down and wiping the tear from her cheek.

She turned her head away from me in resent. I clenched my jaw in frustration and used my hand to force her to face me again.

"I'm sure I could comfort her-" Luciano began.

"Shut the fuck up, Luciano," I interjected snapping my glare to him before I slowly looked back at Hestia, lifted her chin and looked into her eyes, "What did I say about fear, Hestia?"

"You said that it doesn't get you anywhere," she answered in a quiet, wobbly tone.

"That is correct. Luciano, come here," I ordered. Her eyes widened as he came close to her.

"You are terrified of  Luciano, right?" I asked.

She nodded.

"Do you know what's worse than crying over spilt milk?"

"No," she replied.

"Crying over milk that will never be spilt. Luciano is not going to touch you. Ever," I said.

I then stood up and turned to Luciano.

"Touch her," I ordered.

"What?" he questioned, furrowing his eyebrows.

"I said touch her," I repeated. "Wherever you like."

He raised his lip in a confused manner before stepping forward, crouching down and moving his hands to her leg. Just before his fingertips grazed her bare skin I launched my fist into his nose. She gasped as a noise indicating high impact filled the room.

"What the fuck, Leonardo!?" Luciano exclaimed bringing his hand to his face as he stood up from where my force had knocked him to the ground.

"And that is what will happen if he does. Understand?" I said looking at Hestia although the question was really directed at Luciano.

Sometimes a bit of pain is the only way of getting your point across to some people.
