Billionaire Lost to His Surrogate In A Love Game novel Chapter 215

Ophelia swept away the sweat on her forehead and her face went pale. She grabbed out the phone and wanted to call Zachariah. However, she pressed the button and found it was hard to call. Finally, she decided to call Madeline.

Madeline quickly answered the phone and said, “What’s up, sweetie? Are you lonely because your love can’t be with you in the afternoon?”

Ophelia sounded powerlessly, saying, “Madeline, are you busy now?”

Madeline immediately asked anxious, “What’s wrong with you, sweetie? Your voice sounds terrible.”

“Nothing. You can drop by if you have time. Maybe you can bring your laptop here. I am a bit scary when being alone.”

Madeline was considerate and didn’t ask too much, saying, “Wait for me. I will arrive in an hour.”

Ophelia said gratefully, “Thank you, Madeline! No matter what happens, I know you will always be there with me.”

Madeline was a bit surprised and said in an angry manner, “Did that jerk do something to piss you off?”

Ophelia answered, “Just come here. I will wait for you.”

“Yes, alright.”

Ophelia leaned against the bed after hanging up the phone and had a mixed feeling. She touched her a little swelling belly and said to herself, “Baby, mommy has promised that I will not cry for daddy. I go against our promise. I am just a coward. No matter how hard I try to pretend to be brave, I am still afraid when I am alone. My baby, do you think I am a coward too?”

Ophelia sighed. She also didn’t like herself being fragile. She could leave everything behind when she was not fallen in love with Zachariah, but now she was not as brave as before.

She would be swayed by considerations of gain and loss because of Zachariah’s behaviour and would be heart-broken when he cared about other women. To be honest, she didn’t like herself in this way.

She was more deeply bounded with Zachariah beyond her imagination.

Half an hour flied by and the doorbell downstairs rang, Madeline waited for a long time but nobody came to open the door. She thus called Ophelia and asked, “Sweetie, can you open the door for me?”

“Wait for a minute, Madeline. I am so sorry. I didn’t hear it.”

Ophelia went downstairs and opened the door for Madeline. The latter one looked at her up and down. Then she frowned and asked, “Sweetie, you look pale. Is there something wrong with you?”

Ophelia shook her head and answered, “Nothing, I just had a nightmare.”

Madeline was doubtful and asked, “The sky hasn’t turned dark yet. Why did you fall asleep so early?”

“I was just a bit tired and took a snap.” Ophelia went towards the sofa, sat down and asked, “Madeline, have you had dinner yet? I can cook for you. Mrs. Miriam went to look after her grandson and didn’t come here to cook.”

Madeline shook her head, saying, “I can cook for you. You’re carrying with a baby now and all you need to do is waiting and enjoying. Are food materials available in the fridge?”

“Mrs. Miriam has prepared some in the fridge. Just make some simple dishes is fine.”

Madeline walked in front of the fridge and opened it, finding there were various materials, such as vegetables, meat, eggs, noodles, and all kinds of fruit.

She turned around to look at Ophelia and asked, “Sweetie, do you think is fine that we have noodles tonight?”

“Yes.”

Madeline then brought noodles, meat and vegetables out. She quickly cut the meat, washed the vegetables, opened the cooked and made a pot of delicious noodles.

She filled a bowl of noodles for Ophelia and put it in front of her, saying, “Try it, sweetie. Tell me do you like it or not.”

Ophelia showed a friendly smile and lowered her head to eat noodles. When the hot soup slipped down from her throat, she felt better.

Madeline sighed when finding Ophelia just ate noodles without saying anything. She could tell Ophelia had changed a lot there years and it was Zachariah who did it.

Zachariah was such a jerk. He shouldn’t flirt with Ophelia at the very beginning if he didn’t like her.

Madeline couldn’t stop feeling sorry for Ophelia and thought the world was a mess by tricking innocent people.

They finished eating silently. Madeline put the bowls in the sink, hurriedly cleaned them up, brought some fruits from the kitchen, considerately cut them into piece and brought them out.

“Come on, sweetie. Go and get some fruit.”

Ophelia stood up, sat on the sofa and picked up a slice of apple with her chopsticks. Madeline asked curiously, “Well, you have already finished dinner and fruit. Do you think it’s time to tell me what happened? What wrong with you and that jerk?”

Ophelia blinked her eyes and pretended to be innocent, asking, “Pardon?”

“Sweetie, we have known each other for a long time. I can tell what you’re thinking about. Just tell me.” Madeline said.

Ophelia couldn’t help laughing and replied, “Cora has lost her child.”
