Billionaire's Love novel Chapter 41

Alissa

I saw him flipping pancakes from the living room. He looked like a Greek god. But I really wanted to go to him and punch him on his face hard. I looked around and saw that this house was different not the one in which I was before. He brought pancakes neatly in two plates. He kept the plate in front of me and the other one on the opposite of me. He sat there and I quickly picked up the knife and the fork and started to eat. I was starving. He looked at me like he wanted to say something. I could see through his eyes. I noticed his face and it was looking dull. He had black patches under his eyes and he was looking so tired. His eyes which used to remain so shiny lost it's shine.

"Is this your second home?" I asked finally breaking the awkward silence.

"Yeah. I come here sometimes" he said looking down at his plate while I nodded.

I noticed the interior and it was much better than the other house. It had much furniture and more simple colors. The other one contains more gothic colors.

"So how have you been?" I asked although I knew what the answer was going to come.

"No Alissa. How can you expect me to be okay when I am getting married to a girl I don't even love. And I missed you terribly" he said and I could see what he was saying was true.

But you are the one because of whom I cried!!!

I took the last bite of my pancake and quickly swallow it. I was trying to force back the tears which were threatening to come. I didn't wanted to look like a loser in front of him. I don't want to show him that I've been craving for a boy to love me. It would be embarrassing.

"What do you think Eric that this apology will make it better? You made me feel like a stupid that night" I said trying hard not to shout at him. But that urge of shouting was slowly winning over my cool sentiments.

"Don't say like this. I am trying to make things better. I don't want to leave you but........" He trailed off at the end.

"But?" I asked.

"You won't understand" he said.

"Maybe I will" I pushed.

"My father will take away the company from me" he said and that made me feel like throwing his head on the wall.

It clearly mean that I am not his first priority. Who knows I might not even be in the top five. Where I put him above all and here he is saying his company will be taken away from him. I got up before I burst out crying.

"Thank you for the breakfast" my voice sounded so low. Like I have spoken something for the first time. It sounded rough.

He rushed towards me and said "Please stay. I don't want to be left alone again"

I turned around and said "You are the one who left me" tears were now visible in my eyes.

"How can I make it up to you?" He asked.

"By leaving me alone" I replied. I was trying so hard not jump into his arms. His face was just so irresistible.

"Alissa. Please don't leave. I don't want to be miserable again. I have never felt loved and true happiness until I met you. You have changed me Alissa. I want to be with you. Please" he begged.

I was now crying. I didn't wanted to keep these tears in my eyes anymore. I did not want to resist my feelings anymore. I wanted to spend my entire life with him but I know it will just stay a dream. So why not cherish those moments which I am getting to spend time with him. I just went towards him and hugged him tight. He pulled his head back and crashed his lips with mine.

"Jump" he said and I did as I was told.

He held me by my thighs. He was still kissing me and he took me to his bedroom, he made me lay on the bed and started to kiss my cheek, my jaw and slowly down to my neck, making me moan. He was going to get this further but I stopped him. He understood and did not said anything further. He lied beside me and pulled the blanket over our body.

"I love you" he said kissing my forehead.

"I love you too" I replied.

And we soon drifted off to sleep.
