Blood Oath: Forever Yours novel Chapter 11

A blast of cold breeze suddenly blew past her ear, and Lawrence reached out his hand abruptly right at that moment.

He grasped her by the arm to pull her up from the ground, and after she was on her feet, he dragged her to the door to firmly conduct her out of the room without giving her any chance to explain.

When Charlotte had turned her head back, she was met with Lawrence’s scarlet and bloodcurdling eyes as he roared at her, “You make me sick, Charlotte! How naive of you to actually think that you merely getting on your knees will suffice to get your wishes fulfilled! I will never let you and the Garcia family off. This is just the beginning of our game, so get the hell out of my face right now!”

She was thrown onto the corridor, and the next thing that had hit her body was a round coin.

“And this too.”

Lawrence stood by the door in a stand-offish manner while the chilliness on the corner of his mouth turned into contempt as he uttered, “Do you remember how you have bought out my feelings for you with this exact coin back then? Now that I have given a thought about it, it was just utterly asinine and disgusting.”

Charlotte raised her gaze towards the direction of the coin, and when she had finally recognized it, she falteringly threw herself at it and held it tightly in her hands after picking it up.

This was their love token back in those days.

She was the one whom had taken the initiative to court him relentlessly back then, and he was still not as eminent and prominent as he was currently at that time. She had even hired someone to create this personalized one-yuan coin that only belonged to them to comfort him back in those days.

“Listen to me, Lawrence. Are you willing to let me buy you off for the rest of your life with this one-yuan coin?”

“Of course, I do, but what if you were to go back on your words one day?”

“I will come to a sticky end then, and I will never get to be happy till the day that I die.”

The coin had jogged Charlotte’s memory of her vows to him, but little did she know when she had made her promise that day, the curse would come true so soon like chickens had come home to roost.
