But everything was too late.

Charlotte subconsciously closed her eyes when the car sped towards the woman and curled her lips into a smile of relief.

She could finally kill her foe, by herself.

Bang!

A loud crashing sound suddenly sounded by her ears.

Charlotte’s car crashed into something and jerked back due to the impact. She bounced from the driver seat and then slumped onto the seat again.

Charlotte trembled. She opened her eyes and found that a black off-road vehicle, which seemed to appear from the thin air, was blocking her way.

Charlotte shivered all over when she saw the tall man who was standing in front of the car.

It was Lawrence Harris!

His car inserted in and blocked her way when she was about to hit Evelyn.

The dim light of the bridge lamps faintly shone on her, making her expressions look gloomier. He was in a hospital gown and it looked like he still couldn’t maintain his balance.

“Charlotte Garcia!”

Lawrence called out her name while gritting his teeth. Ignoring the pain on his legs, he strode towards her car and reached out one hand, trying to pull her out of the car.

“Deliberately trying to cause a car accident? Do you know what you are doing now?”

Charlotte grasped the steering wheel tightly, feeling that she was clutched by endless chillness.

“It’s my own business. You don’t need to be bothered. Drive your fucking car away and get out of the way!”

She had put in great efforts to entice that vicious woman to come here, so she would by no means give up easily.

Lawrence closed his eyes tightly. It looked like he had tried so hard to calm down himself. He reached his hand into the car through the window and clasped her shoulder.

“I spent thirty million to buy your life. I won’t allow you to casually risk your life because of any others. Lotta, listen, the one you want to hit…”

Charlotte fiercely pushed Lawrence away.

Being caught off guard, Lawrence staggered several steps backward and felt a stinging pain from his leg. Before he could balance himself, the car door was abruptly opened.

Charlotte jumped out of the car and landed a slap on his face.

Lawrence’s face turned to a side due to the impact and blood filled his mouth at the next moment.

Charlotte shivered all over and glared at him with a pair of red-rimmed eyes, “Lawrence Harris, please stay away from me.”

“I knelt down onto the ground to plead for you before, and waited for you in the chilling house, hoping to tell you the truth. I rested the only gleam of hope of keeping my father and my brother alive on you. Since you disappointed me at that time, now I don’t need you!”

Charlotte shouted hysterically, her eyes replete with the hatred and disappointment towards Lawrence.

Lawrence was a bit stunned and a trace of inexplicable light flicked across his eyes. He staggered.

Charlotte felt nervous when seeing him staggering and involuntarily stepped forward. But when noticing that Lawrence barely maintained his balance at the next moment, she abruptly turned her head to aside and said coldly, “Get out of the way.”

After finishing the words, she ran pass him and rushed towards the woman.

Anyhow, she must kill Evelyn today, even at the cost of her life!

But at the next moment, Lawrence clasped her waist with one hand and used some forced to pull her into his arms. The more she struggled, the tighter the man’s confinement was. He didn’t give her any chance to break free from his embrace.

Charlotte’s face became pale due to anger.

“Lawrence Harris, don’t let force me to hate you!”

With his head lowered, Lawrence fixed his eyes on her face and said nastily with a hideous expression, “You wish so much to kill that woman, right? Well, I’ll give you the chance!”
