But the name “Charlotte Garcia” was a thorn in her side. The longer Charlotte was coming between her and Lawrence, the more she hated Charlotte.

“Mr. Porter had an appointment with you at eight, but we’ve completed the necessary procedures. The earlier you get out of here the better, right?”

On hearing that, Charlotte was relieved a little.

“Thank you. It’s late now, and I’d better not bother Mr. Porter. When I settle down, I’ll visit him in person.”

The man insisted.

“Miss Garcia, please let me drive you home. I’ve to make sure you are home safely to have my work done.”

Charlotte couldn’t persuade the man so she nodded reluctantly. She followed the man toward the car.

When they reached the car, the man opened the door for her.

She thanked him and got into the car.

All of a sudden, the man pressed himself against Charlotte, grappled her around her neck, and covered her face with a handkerchief with a strange perfume.

Charlotte felt dizzy, and before she could struggle, she closed her eyes and lost her consciousness.
