Can't Let Go novel Chapter 66

Two hours later, Austral City was almost exploded by a piece of news.

Michael Huo showed the marriage certificate through his personal blog account.

And, his wife’s name on the certificate wasn’t Mary Yun, but Linda Yun!

It caused uproar in Austral City.

Michael Huo married another daughter of Family Yun, who had a bad reputation?

It became the hot topic at once.

And the videos of the chaotic wedding day were also exploded.

Everyone was as high as a drug addict.

The blog was engulfed by kinds of gossip posts.

Someone bold guessed that there must be complicated grudges and hidden secrets.

But, most posts were diatribes against the vixen, Linda Yun.

"Mr. Huo, I’ve assigned technical personnel to all the post." Joe Guo reported in a hurry.

Michael Huo looked at the commercial materials in his hands and said without his head raised, "get some guys to protect her."

Joe Guo was stunned for a second and nodded at once, "yes, sir. I’ll arrange it now!"

Michael Huo read two more pages and chicly signed his name on the paper with a costly pen.

The next second, he stood up and walked out with a coat in his hand.

Linda Yun settled Steven Meng down and took a cab to Family Huo.

On the way, she checked her blog with her cell phone and smiled mockingly.

Did it come to light so quickly?

The hospital must be surrounded by thousands of people now!

And the members of Family Yun must be there, too.

So, Family Huo was the only place she could go now.

At least, it’s safer than outside at this critical moment.

The cab arrived at Family Huo soon, but the cab wasn’t allowed in.

Yes, the building was guarded heavily and the cab couldn’t drive in.

Linda Yun got off the car and walked towards the gate.

"Miss Yun!" The guard stopped her, "you can’t go inside."

  "Why?"

"Madam said, you couldn’t enter Family Huo without her permission!" The guard replied seriously.

Linda Yun chuckled, took out the red certificate and handed to him, "may I come in now?"

The guard glanced at the red certificate and got shocked.

Linda Yun didn’t say anything but smiled friendly.

"Sorry, Mrs. Huo." The guard returned the marriage certificate to her and invited her in.

Linda Yun took the certificate with a smile, put it inside the purse and walked in.

The whole building looked a little desolate. If it weren’t for the trouble she caused, Family Huo must be in a happy atmosphere now.

Servants were busy removing the decorative flowers, and nobody noticed her.

Linda Yun walked silently towards the lobby.

"Linda Yun!" Unexpectedly, somebody called her in a familiar voice.

Linda Yun stopped and looked back.

Richard Qu was still in the groomsmans clothes, walking over slowly with an expression of surprise.

"Hi, Richard Qu!" She smiled and said hello to him politely.

Richard Qu couldn’t help frowning, with pain in his eyes, "are the posts on Weibo telling the truth? You married my brother?"

Linda Yuns eyes flickered, and her eyelashes twitched. After those subtle movements, she smiled, "yes, I married him!"

"Why?" Suddenly Richard Qu approached her and clenched her wrist, "why would you marry my brother? He was the one your sister wanted to marry, wasn’t he?"

Linda Yun glanced at the wrist clenched by him and looked at him, "who says that I can’t snatch someone else’s groom?"

Richard Qu’s eyebrows frowned tighter and tighter, and his voice was shaking slightly, "is... is everything online true?"

He sounded anxious and sad, "they say that you are a snob, and you tried every way to allure your brother-in-law for the title of Mrs. Huo. Are you the same with those cyber celebrities who can be unscrupulous for fame and wealth? That day... why did he have sex with you in the washroom? Was it like they said plotted by you?"

Linda Yun took her hand back lightly, without any fluctuation in her eyes, "are you finished?"

And then, she turned to walk away.

"Why don’t you explain?" Richard Qu shouted at her back, "why don’t you explain? Why don’t you defend yourself?"

Linda Yun replied coldly without turning around, "yes, they indeed know me. I’m that kind of woman who can do anything for a purpose."

She walked away after saying so.

She had been used to silence for years.

She never explained herself to anyone.

What’s more, she didn’t want Richard Qu to know the truth.

Because that was her own business!

At that moment, Richard Qu’s eyes were filled with sorrow.

  Why...

  Why was that?

As soon as Linda Yun walked in, she saw David Huo, Richard Qu’s father and other immediate relatives of Family Huo discussing something.

They were all frozen at the sight of her.

Linda Yun looked at them and bowed, "how are you doing, Uncles?"

  "Is that Linda Yun?"

  "How dare she come here?"

  They started to comment.

Linda Yun listened to their discussion in silence, and began to sneer at those undistinguished contempt and sarcasm.

" ‘Dad’, Uncles, take your time, I have to go back to my room now." She emphasized the first word deliberately.

  Everyone was stunned.

They haven’t recovered from the chaos happened earlier, so they barely looked at the news online.

What they were thinking now was, how to solve today’s accident and save the reputation of Family Huo.

Unexpectedly, Linda Yun got them shocked by this Dad again.

"Did you register for marriage?" David Huo was the first one who realized it.

  "Yes!"

"Oh God! What’s going on with Tingchen?" They started to criticize again.

"Does he want to continue the drama?"

"Oh, Uncle, it sounds like you’re not satisfied with my wife?" Suddenly a familiar voice sounded.

Linda Yun looked back, seeing Michael Huo strode in and threw his coat to a servant.

The next second, he came up to her, held her into his arms and looked at the uncles sharply, "uncles, this is my wife. You’re not happy with her?"

There was a stern feeling in his gentle voice.

At that moment, several uncles looked at each other in silence. They had so much to say, but it was not the perfect time.

Everybody knew that when Michael Huo got angry, he never cared who he was talking to!

Now there were business relationships between him and them, so they had to control their tongues.

"Oh, Tingchen, nothing personal, we just cleaned today’s chaos, and you registered for marriage with Mary’s younger sister now. Family Huo will be affected by this for sure, and our stock price is bound to plummet tomorrow!"

Michael Huo’s smile got deeper, and the shadow in his eyes also turned darker, "uncle, is that all you care about?"

"No, not really, I am just worried about Family Huo!"

"Then, thank you, Uncle, no matter tomorrow’s market is plunging or soaring, I can afford such little-money game!"

Then Michael Huo held her and walked upstairs.

"Dong, what does Tingchen mean? Little-money game? That’s several billions!"

"Well, forget about it. You know his temper. That’s all for today. You guys go back to have a rest now. I’ll talk to him." David Huo said this to send those uncles away.

"In your opinion, why did Tingchen marry her?" Qu Fan took a sip from a cup of tea.

David Huo looked at the stairs where the two people walked away. There was a helpless feeling in his voice, "I’m afraid he doesn’t know what he’s doing himself!"

"Heh!" Qu Fan laughed, "no, I think he knows clearly what he is doing, but it’s a long way to go!"

David Huo looked at Qu Fan and sat down, "what do you think of Linda Yun?"

"I think you’ve already had an answer, my younger brother-in-law."

David Huo laughed, "she’s brave and dares to fight! Right or wrong, her courage is impressive, but thanks to her, today was really a big day!"

Qu Fan smiled and didn’t comment on his words, "don’t worry, Tingchen is a superman. He can deal with all the chaos. But, Linda Yun, she is interesting!"

The conversation between these two men was clearly heard by Richard Qu.

His dad and uncle were experienced businessmen.

Unexpectedly they didn’t regard Linda Yun as trouble, but something else.

Linda Yun, which was the real you?

Back in the room, Linda Yun opened the curtain and window.

Finishing this work, Michael Huo came over, held her from behind, and sounded disgruntled, "didn’t I tell you, you’re Mrs. Huo, so don’t allow anybody to bully you?"

Linda Yun frowned, because she didn’t like to be so close to him.

"If they can feel better by saying that. I’ll stay silent and listen. Anyway, I won’t lose anything. But if I refute, I’ll look more supercilious and conceited in their eyes. Of course, I never care about how they feel, but..." She removed his hands directly.

And then, she walked to the table and got herself a glass of water, "but, your dad was there, I have to behave myself because I’m his daughter-in-law, I can’t embarrass him in front of others!"

Hearing this, Michael Huo walked up to her with a light and thin smile, and trapped her at the table.

The next second, he approached her slowly with his warm breath wafting down, "you’ve adapted to the role of daughter-in-law. Does that mean that you’re ready to shift to the role of wife?"

Linda Yun looked at him coldly with her lips curled sneeringly, "aren’t you going to see Mary Yun?"

Michael Huo smiled, she really knew how to change a topic.

"Even if you don’t care about her, don’t you even care about the heart of Xinya?" She raised her eyebrows and mocked.

The man lifted her chin with his long fingers. They were so close to each other, and it felt like that their breaths were intertwined.

"If you mention that again, I’ll think that you are jealous, okay?" The man’s lips curled unconsciously.

Linda Yun sneered lightly and pushed him away at once.

"It’s time to meet our guests!" Finishing these words, Michael Huo walked towards the balcony.

Linda Mary Yunrrowed her eyes and followed puzzlingly.

At that moment, several luxury cars had arrived at the gate.

Two people got out of a luxury car soon.

  And one of them was...

  Mary Yun!
