Can't Let Go novel Chapter 91

  "No..."

  "No... Don't come here..."

  "Go away...Go away..."

Michael Huo was woken with a start at once, while the woman in his arms fainted from fear. Her eyes remained closed, but her body reacted in an unusual way.

"Nian, wake up..." The man knitted his brows slightly as if being anxious.

  "No, go away-go away!"

"Linda Yun, it's me!" Michael Huo hastened to put her hair on the forehead behind her ears, and not until then did he discover that her hair had been drenched.

  "Go away, go away-"

  Her voice was anxious.

"Linda Yun!" Michael Huo hastened to raise his voice, and pressed on her lower jaw, "It's me, open up your eyes and look!"

Linda Yun was fixed by him and couldn't move.

  "Look at me!"

The man's voice was like a tranquilizer around her ears.

Linda Yun stopped struggling at once, and slowly opened her eyes...

  "Don't be afraid, it's me!"

Linda Yun stared at him for a few seconds. She suddenly reached out her hand and pushed him violently with terrifying strength.

Michael Huo stepped back on being pushed by her without warning.

Linda Yun recoiled rapidly and leaned towards the bedside.

"Nian, it's me!" He said softly.

However, by taking a close look, one could see that there was depression underneath those smiling eyes.

Linda Yun held herself tightly and her body still trembled.

"Nian, it's me, I'm here to take you home..."

  "Ho..home.." Linda Yun suddenly murmured.

Michael Huo was amazed and said hastily, "Right, I'll take you home."

Linda Yun raised her eyes slowly and looked at him. The eyes that had been without focus became normal again gradually.

After a while, she suddenly curved her lips and smiled in a way that made one feel sorry for her, "You are here finally!"

  It hurt.

Michael Huo was hurt badly by those words.

He never knew that those simple words would make his heart jerk like that.

In a moment, the man blinked his eyes, and said in a coarse and dry voice, "I'm here to pick you up, don't be afraid, OK?"

Linda Yun didn't say anything, and just moved her eyelids.

After remaining silent for a long time, she raised her eyes again and looked at him.

  "Have I..been...?"

"No!" Michael Huo interrupted her directly, "Long Tian was there in time, and you are fine!"

Linda Yun slightly twitched the corner of her lips, her eyelids were trembling violently, while crystal clear tears filled up her eyes at once.

Then, she bit her lips desperately and held herself tightly, while scratching her arms with both hands forcefully.

On seeing this, Michael Huo hastened to come up and grasp her hands, "Stop it! Your arms are going to get hurt if you keep scratching!"

Unexpectedly, the moment he touched her hand, she recoiled subconsciously.

She was staring at him defensively.

Such a stare made Michael Huo slightly stunned.

"Don't... don't touch me..." She took great pains to manage normal rate of speech. She smiled at him in an embarrassing way, "Don't... get close to me, OK?"

At this moment, the man had a severe heartache, as if an electric current had run through his whole body.

The room became quiet at once.

Linda Yun remained silent, and the whole person was like a puppet.

Nobody knew what she was thinking about.

Michael Huo remained still. He sat on a chair next to her while waiting for her all the time.

Nobody knew how long it had been.

Only when a nurse walked over was the silence broken.

"Ms. Yun, you are awake. It's time for you to take medicine!" While saying this, the nurse handed her some medicine and a water cup.

Linda Yun knitted her brows, and overthrew the medicine and water cup in hand straight away subconsciously.

"Bang!" It was a loud noise in the solitary night.

The nurse was frozen, and forgot to react.

"Linda Yun!" Michael Huo rushed over, and wanted to check whether her hand had been hurt.

"Don't come over here!" Linda Yun said sternly on seeing him getting near.

Michael Huo's footsteps stopped when he was just half a meter from her.

The air fell into dead silence again.

"So..so..sorry...So...sorry, I'll get you some new medicine..." The nurse shivered.

That was the most advanced VIP ward. Patients living here were either wealthy or noble.

Nurses like her couldn't afford to provoke them.

"That's not necessary, get out!" The man said faintly.

The nurse was relieved at once. She hastened to pick up the water up and medicine from the floor, closed the door in a hurry, and left.

She bit her red lips, and looked wronged as if she had thought of something.

"It's OK, if you don't fell like eating it, you don't have to." Michael Huo poured her a cup of water while saying it.

He walked up to her, and wanted to hand it to her. But he was afraid that she would refuse him.

So he placed it on the table.

"Sorry..." Her voice was terribly coarse.

"It's all right!" Michael Huo smiled faintly, but his smile wasn't prolonged.

It was only because of the worry in his eyes outweighed it.

Linda Yun raised her head and looked at him with her pitch-black eyes directly, which set off the paleness of her face even more, "I don't want to stay in the hospital. I wanna go home..."

"Fine!" He didn't refuse her, nor could he.

  "Thanks..."

Her eyes drooped once more, and her fine and long eyelids cast a shadow on her fine skin...

  -

  It was 3:30 a.m.

A limousine was zooming all the way in the quiet night.

Linda Yun sat in the back row, wrapped up tightly in her clothes. She cast her glance out of the window, and was as quiet as a porcelain doll.

Michael Huo would occasionally looked in the rear-view mirror, and he could only see the loneliness on her side face.

  Forty minutes later.

  They were at the Huo's.

Linda Yun got off the car, and walked inside.

Michael Huo leaned towards her, and Nun Nian moved aside subconsciously.

On seeing this, Michael Huo's eyebrows were never unfolded.

The servants were stunned for a while on seeing them. They were just about to cry out when Michael Huo raised his hand and signaled them to remain silent.

The servants shut up at once.

Linda Yun was lowering her head all the time, and walked upstairs step by step mechanically.

After returning to the room she was familiar with, her body seemed to have remained rigid.

"The doctor has said that you need to take more rest." Michael Huo put away his quilts and switched on the lamp on the bedside.

Linda Yun looked at the bed, and then looked at him. There was a lot in her eyes.

"Tonight I'll sleep on the sofa." Michael Huo took the initiative to speak.

Linda Yun didn't refuse. She got on the bed obediently, and laid down quietly.

On seeing this, Michael Huo took out a quilt from the wardrobe and came to the sofa.

After nobody knew how long it was, the breath in the room gradually became stable.

But the breath was not from Linda Yun.

The man's breath was stabilized. Linda Yun opened her eyes in the darkness.

She looked at the lamp on the bedside, and the originally radiant look in her eyes became extremely gloomy.

What had happened several hours ago skimmed over her mind like a movie.

In just a few minutes, her body and hair were completely drenched.

  Her whole body was shivering.

Under the quilt, where nobody could see, she pinched her leg with her fingers with great effort...

  No tears.

  She couldn't cry.

She was not qualified to cry.

  But...

why wouldn't her tears stop running down?

Her tear s kept rolling down like a faucet that wouldn't be let up.

Soon, she bit the quilt and whimpered slightly...

Michael Huo opened his eyes slowly.

  In fact, he wasn't asleep.

He pretended to breathe like that for her.

The girl was too adept at concealing her feelings.

She had been tolerating from the moment she was rescue up till now.

But she couldn't help it when he was asleep.

  How stubborn she was!

At this moment, how he wished that she could open up her mind and cry in his arms.

  But...

The depressive cries were extremely sad in the solitary night...

On hearing the depressive cries, Michael Huo felt suffocated.

But he couldn't go over there.

Because he knew, once he moved,

she would hide herself once again.

She needed to give vent to her feelings.

Or else, she would only keep to herself all the more.

It was over 5,00 a.m., and finally, Linda Yun's breath became normal again.

It was only then that Michael Huo got up and left the sofa.

She laid on her side on the white bed, bit the quilt with her white teeth, while there were still tear s hanging on her eyelids. She just fell asleep like that...

He felt sorry and helpless for her at once.

He took out the quilt from her mouth, and then tucked her up with the quilt again.

It was only then that he got up and left.

  It was 7,30 a.m.

When Michael Huo pushed open the door, he saw her holding her knees in a trance. She wore thin and short hair, and on her pale face, there was a trace of solitude without reason.

On hearing the sound, her body moved slightly.

"Are you awake? Let me ask Mrs. Zhang to send the breakfast up here, shall I?" The man said with a smile, went up to her and inquired.

Linda Yun didn't say anything, but frowned on seeing him coming up to her.

"Well, what do you want to eat?"

He pretended not to have seen her frown, remained soft and inquired.

"Is she here?" She didn't look at him, but said faintly.

Michael Huo paused for a while, and said in a low voice, "She's back."

Linda Yun pulled the corner of her mouth, and suddenly said, "I want to go back to the Yun's..."

Michael Huo's eyes slightly drooped, and then, he suddenly said with a smile, "Do you want to have noodles or steamed stuffed buns? I'll ask the the chef to cook for you. By the way, there are still some dumplings made by you last time, do you want to have some?"

"I want to go back to the Yun's."

  She raised her tone.

"It's a nice day today. All the flowers in the garden have come out, let's go and have a look, shall we?"

  Linda Yun raised her head.

She stared at him, and there seemed to be no changes in her dull facial expressions.

But if you took a close look, you could see that her face was growing paler and paler. Her slender eyelids were trembling violently.

"I WANT TO GO BACK TO THE YUN'S!"

  She started again.

He watched her silently and wondered what the deep eyes were thinking about.

"Don't worry, I won't disturb her. I know she can't get hurt, since she has a heart that is worth tens of millions!" She smiled faintly and sarcastically.

"Linda Yun!" Michael Huo frowned suddenly. He grasped her hands and wanted to explain.

However, Linda Yun was disgusted with his sudden touch.

She threw her hands as if having got an electric shock, and her body also moved backwards subconsciously.

  "Don't touch me!"

Such a natural response of hers made Michael Huo feel hurt so badly.

"Linda Yun! Susan and me, we've..."

"I just want to see her..."

She interrupted him and bit her lips forcefully.

Her pale face bloomed with a cool smile. She seemed to feel helpless, "I can't do anything to her...what are you afraid of?"
