Can't Let Go novel Chapter 109

When Linda got to the first floor, everyone of the house was already there.

Her luggage was placed aside by maids.

Qu Zhirong didn't sit at the dining table. She was leaning over on the couch, didn't notice her coming here like she was pondering something.

"Linda, come here, sit." David Huo was enthusiastic.

"Dad!" Linda came to the table.

"Sister." Jennifer Huo was there. She looked up and took a glance at her, then she just continued to eat her breakfast.

Richard Qu looked her and then the stairs, "Well, brother is still sleeping?"

Linda cleared her throat and sat down, "He will be there very soon."

She nodded and continued finishing her food.

The moment Linda took her spoon, she saw Qu Zhirong suddenly stood up and walked to the door.

"Zhirong, where are you going?" David Huo stood up too and hurried to her.

A moment later, he came back.

"Dad, where's mom going?" Jennifer asked him.

"Well, she has something to do. She's having an appointment. I have the driver to send her there. We'll meet at the airport." David Huo then sat down.

Linda frowned slightly. Seeing someone?

Who?

Was it... Mary Yun?

But it was inappropriate for her to enquire about it when David Huo didn't say much about it.

Soon, Michael Huo went down stairs.

After they all finished breakfast and chatted for a while, they just headed to the airport.

When they arrived at the airport, it was already 9:10 a.m.

The plane would take off at 10:00.

David Huo seemed to be a little bit anxious at the VIP lounge.

He had already made a phone call 15 minutes ago. Qu Zhirong had told him that she was on her way here and it wouldn't take long.

But 15 minutes had passed, why she hadn't show up yet?

Linda was sitting on the couch, absent-minded.

Apparently, she wasn't much interested in this trip.

She had a lot to think about.

For instance, she still didn't know how the Yun family reacted to the video being removed.

And as for Uncle Meng, he was to give her a very essential file in a few days.

She wants to stroke James Yun badly by means of this news.

But now she did have to go on a travel. She really didn't have the mood.

However, the trip was arranged by her father-in-law.

If she declined...

Her eyebrows twisted together. She looked out the window at those planes on the parking apron and was a little bit pissed off.

Michael Huo walked to her, sat down and said in a soft voice, "So, it seems that you're not looking forward to this trip?"

Linda didn't look at him but frowned more tightly instead.

On seeing this, the guy smiled faintly and his voice expressed a sense of disappointment, "If you don't wanna go, I stay here with you, uh?"

Linda was stuck, then she turned around and gazed at him unbelievably, "I beg your pardon?"

"I mean if you don't wanna have this trip. We can stay. By the way my mother will have a good mood if she has already accompanied by others."

He presented a smile and tried to explain in a soft voice.

As a matter of fact, he really looked forward to this Maldives trip.

They could be more closer to each other there after all.

But if she didn't wanna go, he wouldn't make her to leave the Austral City.

He knew her well that she always wanted to follow her heart.

Otherwise, the fact would be like what they were right now--he was affectionate about her but she was hiding from him.

Linda just stared at the guy in front of her and didn't know what to say.

However, at this moment, Michael Huo leaned forward with his lips close to her ear and whispered with a low voice, "But even though we don't go to Maldives, you're not allowed to leave my side!"

Linda frowned unconsciously and looked at this bossy guy.

There rang David Huo's phone and the conversation was interrupted.

"What? Where are they? Okay, okay, I'll, I'll be right there!" He hung up his phone and looked greatly devastated.

He was even quivering.

"Dad, what's going on?" Jennifer Huo hurried to him and helped him by the arm.

"Uncle, are you alright?" Richard Qu also came up to support him.

On looking at the scene, Michael Huo and Linda quickly exchanged a short glance and stood up to help him, "Dad..."

"Hurry up, hurry up, to the hospital. Your mother was in a car crash! The car... the car exploded. Hurry up!" David Huo's voice was shaking badly.

After hearing that, all of them were stuck.

A car crash?

The car exploded?

So...

Qu Zhirong...

They didn't dare to hesitate a second and drove directly to the First City Hospital in Austral City.

David Huo seemed to be completely defeated on his way to the hospital.

He was blaming himself for not escorting her this morning.

Jennifer Huo was sitting next to her father in the car. She clutched his arm tightly with teary eyes and said in a shaking voice, "Dad, don't be like this... Mom, mom will be fine, don't be like this..."

"Don't panic, uncle. Aunt is gonna be fine!" Richard Qu consoled them sitting on the seat next to the driver's. But he was worried as well.

Linda was shocked in another car.

"Okay, okay, I get it." Michael Huo hung up the phone with his eyebrows twisted.

"What happened exactly? Your mom... is she okay?" Linda was worried as well.

Although she didn't like her,

she never expected members from the Huo family to encounter any incidents.

"My mom went to meet Mary Yun. When they were driving back, a car accident happened, and... the car even exploded!" Michael Huo was in a heavy mood.

"She went to meet her and the car... exploded... but where are they now?" She asked.

"I'm not sure. We arrive, don't worry!" The man held her hand and tapped it to assure her everything was gonna be fine.

But his charming face failed to belie his concern and worry.

Linda stared at this man in front of her--he was anxious to death.

But he still cared about her feelings at this very moment. She suddenly fell for him.

Her hand was lifted to hold his instead.

Michael Huo was surprised and looked at her.

"Don't worry, your mom's gonna be okay!" She uttered in a slow and gentle voice.

The guy slightly frowned and embraced her subsequently.

"Yeah, everything's gonna be fine, it will!"

He consoled himself.

-

Soon they arrived at the hospital.

They rushed through a VIP passageway.

When they reached outside the operating room, David Huo dashed up there and tapped the door and yelled, "Zhirong! Zhirong!"

"Dad, please calm down!" Michael Huo hurried up to him.

"Uncle, don't worry. I go to ask the doctor." Richard Qu was about to leave.

The operating room door was pushed opened.

A push bed showed up, on which Qu Zhirong was resting. Her ankle was bound up.

Her face was bruised, which was not very seriously.

David Huo dashed to her and held her tight, "My darling, do you know I'm scared to death?"

But Qu Zhirong was weeping, "Save Mary, help Mary...?"

David Huo let go of her and frowned, "Save Mary?"

"Yes, please send the best doctor to save her! Save her!" Qu was in an unsteady mood as if she was to jump out of the push bed.

David Huo then replied hurriedly, "Calm down, my sweetheart. This is the best city in Austral City. It has the best doctors, you don't..."

"No, no, no..." Qu Zhirong didn't finish her words. She just clutched him and cried out loud.

It didn't take long for everybody to know how all of these happened.

Mary Yun and Qu Zhirong met this morning.

They had a conversation, and then Mary Yun proposed to drive her to the airport.

It never occurred to both of them that the car was crashed half way. It was turned over to its side and stuck Qu Zhirong's leg.

Mary Yun, however, ignored the danger, crawled in and pushed Qu out.

Unexpectedly, when she was about to move out of the car--the vehicle exploded...

After hearing the news, all of them were extremely shocked.

Linda didn't utter a word. She stared at the "In Surgery" sign and was mixed up.

"Mr Huo, you may push Mrs Huo to the ward." The nurse beside him called his attention softly.

"No, I'm not going to the ward! I'm staying here! Waiting for her! Waiting for Mary!" Qu Zhirong yelled instantly.

"Mommy, but you're hurt. Let's go back to your room, they will be there for you." Jennifer Huo interrupted.

"Yeah, Auntie, you may go to the ward first. And you will inform you as long as the operation is done." Richard Qu looked at her considerately.

"Mary, Mary..." For a moment, a roar echoed from the staircase.

Then, Gu Liangchen and James Yun stormed in.

"Mary, our Mary..." Gu Liangchen wanted to knock the operation room door but was stopped by the nurse.

"My poor child, oh no..." Liangchen was squatting down. She was weeping with a plaintive voice, "Mary, why you have to suffer this... Why you had this car crash? God, tell me, is Mary alright in here?"

James Yun choked with sobs as well, "Mary, my Mary..."

Qu Zhirong looked at them and continued to say sorry, "It's all my fault. It's me... I caused this..."

Gu Liangchen took a glance at her, shook her head and covered her face again to sob.

Linda hid herself at the corner, inspecting the scene.

She was full of doubts.

Gu Liangchen and James Yun showed up together?

They didn't have a fight?

No, it's impossible.

James Yun was a possessive man of a fierce temperament, if he knew that Gu had cheated on him, he would never forgive her.

But now...

She felt she couldn't see through him right now.

"Mr Huo, Mrs Huo, Mr Yun and Mrs Yun, may you wait at the ward? The operation won't be finished in a few minutes. And it will do not good for the operation if so many people are crowding outside the surgery room." The chief nurse came and persuaded gently.

"Ok." David Huo nodded.

Let alone what the condition was in the ward.

First, they needed to go to wait in the ward.

So Qu Zhirong was pushed to a exclusive VIP sick bay.

The room was large, in which there were several luxurious leather sofas.

Linda was sitting next to Jennifer Huo on one couch.

While on the other side of the room, the weeping Gu Liangchen and her gloomy husband were occupying another sofa.

And Richard Qu and Michael Huo were standing beside Qu Zhirong, consoling her.

David Huo, however, was sitting on her bed and inquired her whether she felt uncomfortable.

Time flew by.

No one gave out a sound in the ward. The atmosphere was somewhat awkward.

Two hours later.

When they all turned impatient, a nurse rushed in.

"Miss Yun's operation was successful!"

After hearing this, Qu Zhirong was greatly relieved.

"But..." The nurse hesitated to finish the sentence,

"But what?" Qu Zhirong and Gu Liancen both enquired.

"But Miss Yun was disfigured..."
