Can't Let Go novel Chapter 119

  Do not imitate her agian!

Mary Yun didn’t say anything, but looked at Michael Huo with her sad eyes.

"Chen, what are you doing?" Qu Zhirong frowned and said.

Michael Huo ignored Qu Zhirong, but stared at Mary Yun, with his face turning gloomy, and his voice becoming cold, saying, "You have no right to imitate her!"

The meaning of these words was too profound.

Susan’s parents felt sympathy about Mary Yun but didn’t know what to say.

After all, she was not the real Susan.

  But...

She had Susan’s heart and now she had her face....

For a while they did not give a respond to what Michael Huo had said.

Huo Tingfei hurriedly spat her tongue, and felt some guilty. It seemed that she did something wrong just now!

Linda Yun reached out her hand and grabbed the man’s hand. Temperature handed from her little hand’s made Michael Huo calm down gradually.

"That’s enough, sit down and have the meal. It is rare for Susan’s parents to pay a visit to our family." said David Huo hurriedly so as to smooth the situation.

Linda Yun pulls Michael Huo to sit down.

And in front of them was Mary Yun. She did not dare to speak because of what Michael Huo had said just before.

The atmosphere on the table got subtle at once.

The servants soon served all the dishes.

No one said a word and they just had those dishes quietly.

  However...

Linda Yun twisted her eyebrows, staring at Mary Yun in front of her.

Was she having rice with soup?

In her memory, she never ate staple food because she needed to keep fit.

  Why...

She laughed and seemed to know the reason.

She looked sideways at Michael Huo.

As expected, the man was staring at her movement.

Linda Yun stopped looking at her and smiled slightly. No wonder she had not showed up for this year.

Presumably, she had been learning to imitate Susan.

The movement, expression and eyes were so..."Innocent and real"!

Jennifer Huo was also staring at Mary Yun’s movement while eating.

Then, she began to look at her brother with worry, and then looked at her sister-in-law beside her elder brother.

But she found that Linda Yun was always keeping her head down and eating foods in small bites, without paying much attention to Mary Yun.

Jennifer Huo frowned. How could sister-in-law be so careless?

It was obvious that Mary Yun was trying to get her brother by imitating Susan!

"En-hem, en-hem" seeing that Linda Yun had no reactions to that, Jennifer Huo got worried, so she could not help coughing.

However, her coughing made Qu Zhirong frown, and Qu Zhirong asked, "Jennifer, what are you doing? Is there something wrong with your throat?"

Jennifer Huo smirked and said, "Mommy, I, I, I just had an itch in my throat. Sister-in-law, sister-in-law, I remember that there are lozenges in your room, right?"

Linda Yun was stunned and looked sideways at Jennifer Huo.

While winking and making signs to her, she said "I don’t feel well in my throat, let’s go and get some lozenges, OK?"

  "Okay!" Linda Yun laughed slightly.

She did not like the atmosphere here, and now that Jennifer gave her a chance,

Then, she would not stay here of course.

"Nonsense, your sister-in-law hasn’t finished her dishes yet. Aunt Zhang, get her some lozenges!" David Huo hurriedly scolded her daughter for making trouble.

  "Hey..." shouted Jennifer Huo.

"Dad, I’m full, it’s OK."said, Linda Yun. She looked at Jennifer Huo, and added "Let’s go, Jennifer."

However, before Jennifer Huo stood up, Michael Huo stood up first.

"Chen!" called Qu Zhirong when she saw him standing up. She felt some unhappy, and said "It is rare for Susan’s parents to have meal with us. And are you going to leave the table now?"

"Aunt, let me accompany on them!" suddenly came the voice of Mary Yun, and she stood up.

The air got subtle again all of a sudden.

"You sit down and stay with them." said Qu Zhirong. She looked sideways at Michael Huo with a smile in her face and then looked at Mary Yun, saying, "I really haven’t talked with my elder ‘sister’ for a long time!"

Mary Yun laughed slightly and walked over. She also looked at Michael Huo and smiled elegantly, saying, "I will accompany on Linda, don’t worry!"

Then, it came the scene that Mary Yun supported Linda Yun with her hands and walked to the elevator.

"Follow them quickly! Don’t you have an itch in your throat, do you?" said Michael Huo. He frowned and looked at her sister.

Jennifer Huo was stunned for a while and stood up quickly, saying, "Yes, yes. I, have an itch in my throat, so I shall leave. Enjoy the meal, aunt and uncle."

Then she ran to follow them at once.

Michael Huo was some worried, and didn’t stop looking at Linda Yun till the three got into the elevator.

  "Michael!" Susan’s father said.

Then Michael Huo turned his attention away from her, and looked at them.

"Boy, don’t blame her, Uh?" said Susan’s father, with his eyes being red. He added, "We are also selfish to let her make herself look like Susan. In fact, it’s not fair to her, because no one is willing to look like the face of a dead person. It is because we miss Susan so much, miss her ..."

Michael Huo didn’t say anything, and his eyes got dark.

Susan’s mother came to him, and sat on Linda Yun’s seat. She grabbed Michael Huo’s hand all of a sudden and said, "Don’t blame her and don’t yell at her. We miss her, we really miss her very much..."

"I’m so sorry..." the man apologized with a voice full of self-accusation.

Susan’s mother shook her head and said, "You have no need to say sorry. That was her choice and now ... it is our choice. Please don’t hurt her, okay? I beg you, please..."

After saying that, she was about to kneel.

Michael Huo hurriedly held her up, saying, "Aunt, don’t be like this."

Susan’s mother began to cry and said, "I know that we are selfish, but, please pity us, the two childless old people. Don’t hurt her, don’t hurt her any more..."

  Michael Huo: ...

  ---

When three people walked on the road, one of them must feel embarrassed.

Jennifer Huo also supported Linda Yun with her hands on the other side.

"Um, Sue, no, no. Um, Mary, you can go back. It’s okay to let me take care of my sister-in-law alone!" said Jennifer Huo. When she looked at her face, she would always be absent-minded.

Mary Yun looked at Jennifer Huo and smiled, saying, "It’s OK, I’m also full too. What’s the matter with you? Do you need to go to the hospital? Is it okay to just eat a lozenge?

Jennifer Huo felt uncomfortable while being looked at and asked if she was fine.

She didn’t know whether her brother had loved Susan.

But she and Susan were the best, closest , and very very good friends.

And now, she knew that Susan was dead,

  and this one was fake.

But her movements, expression and eyes were exactly what of Susan.

It made her feel guilty to help Linda Yun to get her out of here. She even felt guilty that it seemed that she had betrayed her best friend.

"Fei’er, are you OK?" Mary Yun asked her with care again.

Jennifer Huo was stupefied and did not dare look her eyes, replying, "Oh, I’m fine. The lozenges of my sister-in-law have good efficacy.,"

Without saying anything. Linda Yun took out a bottle of lozenges , and handed it over to Jennifer Huo.

"Em, thanks." said Jennifer Huo. Then she frowned, and added "Um, Mary Yun, since I’ve got the lozenges, you..."

"Fei’er, can you go donwstairs first? I want to talk with Lindanisn." Mary Yun interrupted her,

which made Jennifer Huo speechless at once.

"Jennifer, you can go donwstairs for having dishes. And you hardly ate anything." Linda Yun said.

Jennifer Huo frowned, and looked at Linda Yun. Her eyes were slightly winking so as to remind her, saying, "Sister-in-law, I, I’m full now. What is your words, and why should I need to go out?"

"It’s OK. Listen to me and go first!" said Linda Yun. She looked at her and smiled slightly.

"Jennifer, Am I so horrible that let you scared ?" seeing that she did not leave, Mary Yun looked at her with a familiar smile and called her nick name Susan often called.

"Then, please go downstairs soon" said Jennifer Huo. She did not want to answer Mary Yun or even looked at her because her face would easily let her illusion.

After Jennifer Huo left, the room became quiet at once.

"Let’s talk at the balcony." suggested Linda Yun. She walked slowly in stagger footstep.

"Do you need my supporting?" Mary Yun came to her and asked.

Linda Yun looked at her and gave her a faint smile, saying "No, I can walk on my own."

Hearing this, Mary Yun shrugged her shoulders and walked to the balcony.

There was a hammock chair and a sofa at the balcony.

Linda Yun sat on the sofa, while Mary Yun sat on the hammock chair and began to swing it.

The wind was blowing gently, in late summer, the temperature at day was still high.

"Are you afraid?" suddenly, Mary Yun opened her mouth and asked.

"What do you mean?" Linda Yun asked.

Mary Yun grabbed the hammock chair and stopped swinging with her legs, and then she looked at her coldly, asking, "Are you afraid of me?"

Linda Yun didn’t say anything, and there was no change in her eyes.

"One year.....One year has passed..." Mary Yun grabbed the hammock chair more tightly and said, "I have suffered a lot in this year."

Linda Yun looked at her angry eyes and asked, "To imitate Susan made you suffered a lot, right?"

Mary Yun looked at her, knowing she was satirizing her by saying this sentence.

She laughed and said, "You don’t need to tease me. Have you seen that he still care about Susan?"

Linda Yun nodded and said, "Yes, he does!"

Mary Yun frowned, wondering what that look on her face mean?

Linda Yun looked at her puzzled expression and laughed, saying, "If he did not care about Susan anymore, I would look down upon him. A woman died for you but you cannot remember her at all. Then, there would be no distinction between him and a monster!"

Hearing this, Mary Yun was quite shocked, saying, "Ah, You knew this. But you are not afraid that I’ll take him away, Hm?"

"You are not her!" she said firmly.

"So what? He owes her a life, and life is important than any other thing, so he won’t just leave me alone." Mary Yun said firmly.

Linda Yun laughed slightly, without saying a word.

Seeing this, Linda Yun felt uneasy.

She did’t like the way she looked at her, as well as her slight laugh,

which seemed that she was watching a clown.

"Don’t look at me like that, soon, you won’t smile, and will often cry!"

"You hate me so much?" she looked at her fiendish face and asked spontaneously.

"What do you think?" she asked, and added "This year I have laid on the surgery table for many times in America, and my face have been cut by those machines for many times. Do you know these pains, and can you understand it, Uh?"

Seeing her eyes got red because of anger, Linda Yun laughed coldly and indifferently, saying, "These were out of your choice, weren’t they?"

"My choice?" asked Mary Yun. She stared at her indifferent and rebarbative face, saying, "You know who it is that force me to take this step, don’t you?"

  "Mary Yun!" shouted Linda Yun.

She raised her head and looked at her straightly.

Mary Yun heard this and also looked at her.

"Mary Yun, I don’t owe you anything!" she said, and her tone got very cold.

"You don’t owe me?" Mary Yun laughed and her eyes were filled with ridicule, saying, "How dare you say that you own me nothing? You took away the man I love, killed my parents, and hurt my younger brother. How dare you say that you own me nothing?"

"I killed your parents? I took away the man you love? And I hurt your younger brother?" she repeated and began to sneer, saying, "You said that in this year, you had been on the surgery table for many times and you had changed for many times, but it seems that you miss something!"

Mary Yun frowned and asked warily, "what is it?"

  "Your face!" she replied coldly.
