Can't Let Go novel Chapter 159

A servant screamed at the top of her voice.

George Mo hurriedly put Duoduo down and ran over. Before anybody could react, he jumped into the water.

Soon, he was busy saving people.

Jennifer Huo had already passed out when she was pulled out of the water.

The wound in her wrist was obvious and bleeding.

The doctor at house rushed to her and bound up her wound. Then she was take to the hospital.

Outside the VIP Room, everyone was wearing a sad and worried expression.

The Ding’s also came. They were standing outside the door without saying a word.

In order not to bother the patient, the doctor asked the relatives to leave.

What were left were her close kin.

"Please wait at the lobby!” Michael Huo looked at the Ding’s and his face was cold and gloomy.

"Dad, Mom, you go to the lobby, I’ll stay.” Ting Wei came up to Michael Huo and said, "Brother, I’ll stay!”

"You want me to say that again?” Michael Huo got impatient and angry, staring at Ding Wei, which made him afraid.

"Well, okay. We’ll wait the lobby, tell me if you get any news about Jennifer!” Ding Wei’s father came up and dragged his son and said with a smile.

Michael Huo didn’t look at them. He looked down at this family at the first place.

Seeing this, Ding Wei’s father smiled awkwardly and took his sum and wife out.

George Mo was holding Duoduo in his arms, looking at Michael Huo and he knew that this man was going to lose his temper.

So he looked at Linda and said, "There are many bacterium in the hospital. I’ll take Duoduo outside and wait for you. Call me if you need anything!”

Linda Yun was standing at the door and looking into the operating theater. Hearing what George Mo had said, she turned to her and nodded, saying, "Em!”

George Mo didn’t stay and walked out with Duoduo in his arms.

At the corridor, there was just the families of them.

"Jennifer, Jennifer......” David Huo was also standing with Linda Yun, looking in the door, but couldn’t see anything.

"What did you tell her?” Huo Zhenchen asked coldly.

And he was staring at Qu Zhirong.

However, Qu Zhirong, who was sitting on a chair, lowered her head and said nothing.

"I asked, what did you tell her?” The man’s voice was raised and his face looked extremely gloomy.

David Huo heard him and looked at Qu Zhirong, saying, "What did you tell her?”

Qu Zhirong looked at her son and her husband. She was a little bit panic. Then she just replied, "I...I didn’t tell her anything!”

"If you didn’t say anything, why would Jennifer do that?” Michael Huo scratched his hair and said, "Don’t you think that Jennifer is not miserable enough?”

Qu Zhirong frowned and stood up, saying, "What do you mean? Is Jennifer a outsider? She is my daughter. You think I would hurt her?”

With a "Bang” sound, Michael Huo threw a punch on the wall heavily.

This move astonished Qu Zhirong.

"Have you ever thought that she is your daughter?” The man looked at her and his eyes were deep and dark, filled with rage.

Qu Zhirong had never been looked at by her son like this. He... looked cold and indifferent.

"Chen, listen to me. I didn’t mean to tell Jennifer anything. I just wanted her to get a happy marriage. She’s got a long life, so she can’t do anything wrong!” Somehow, she wanted to explain.

Michael Huo looked at her coldly and sneered, saying, "You would be so nice? I suppose you would say that she is shameless and she disgraced the Huo’s. Even, you would say that you had never had such a dirty daughter!”

Qu Zhirong was stunned.

How could he know these words?

Michael Huo looked at her face and smiled out of sudden. He was beaming and then shouted, "Are you a mother? You once hurt me and now you want to hurt Jennifer, too?”

Qu Zhirong didn’t reply him.

"Michael, calm down!” Michael Huo hurriedly came over and dragged his son, saying, "Please calm down!”

Michael Huo looked at David Huo coldly, saying, "Calm down? What do you want me to say? These years you have been running business or going many countries. At home there have been only two of us. I can definitely tell you that Jennifer is more important to me than you. If anything happens to her, I won’t easily give up!”

Qu Zhirong was shocked and stunned because of the way that Michael Huo looked at her. His eyes were cold. She said in a low voice, "You won’t easily give up? You would like to deal with me?”

"Well.” A smile full of sarcasm and the cold in his eyes explained everything.

For the first, Qu Zhirong thought that she didn’t know her son that well.

Linda Yun didn’t speak, but she walked over and grabbed the man’s hand and turned it over.

He threw the back of his hand on the wall violently, so the skin had broken.

She took a band-aid from her bag and carefully

applied to his skin.

During her bandaging, Michael Huo didn’t say anything and just looking at her quietly.

This atmosphere just turned weird out of no reason.

A few minutes later, the door of the operation theater was opened.

Jennifer Huo was pushed out and many people came up to her hurriedly.

A nurse pushed her to a VIP room. Lu Yi took off her mask, looked at Michael Huo and said, "Jennifer is out of danger now, but you should pay attention to the wound in her wrist. Because of her losing to much blood, she needs a special diet!”

"Em!” Michael Huo nodded and was going to enter but was stopped by Lu Yi.

He pulled him aside and asked, "What’s wrong with Jennifer? She woke during the dressing and she began to cry, and her emotion was very unstable.”

Michael Huo frowned and his eyes betrayed his unhappy and upset mood.

Lu Yi saw him frown and he knew there must be something he could not say.

Then he said, "Helping Jennifer with her psychological problem is much important than what we doctors do. What happened at the wedding party and the problem with the Ding’s, you need do handle well, or else the journalists will report some unfavorable things!” Michael Huo nodded and said, "I know!”

"OK, then I shall go to work. Find me if you have any problem!” Saying, Lu Yi put on his mask again and left.

"Thank you!” Michael Huo showed his gratitude and entered.

Jennifer Huo was lying on the bed with her eyes opened, but her eyes seemed not shiny.

"Jennifer......Jennifer!” David Huo grabbed her hand and said sadly, "You stupid girl. What did you do?”

Jennifer Huo still didn’t say a word and was still looking out of the window.

Qu Zhirong came to her, stood in front of her and said, "Jennifer, I might have said something bad, but I wanted you to be happy. You just tried to suicide, you will make me sad!”

"Jennifer, her bark is worse that her bite, you need to forgive her!” After saying, David Huo felt more sad.

But no matter what they had said, she was still like a wooden puppet, which was motionless and silent.

Linda Yun was standing aside and staring at her. She knew that was an act of desperate.

She couldn’t helping grabbing the man’s hand.

Michael Huo looked at her and he found that Linda Yun’s eyes were filled with upset and worry.

The man gripped her hand and took her to bed.

"Jennifer, I’m your brother!” Michael Huo called her name and then said, "If you don’t like Ding Wei, you don’t really have to marry him!”

"What?” Qu Zhirong looked at Michael Huo and asked, "She is not going to marry him? You think that marriage is some kind of childish game? What will happen to her if she breaks her marriage this time?”

"Nothing will happen. I’ll raise her up!” Michael Huo said proudly and confidently, "As long as she doesn’t want this marriage, I’ll raise her for the rest of her life!”

Hearing this, Jennifer Huo burst into tears all of a sudden.

"Nonsense!” Qu Zhirong got angry and said, "What kind of brother you are? If you do that, then it means that you don’t love her and you are hurting her. I found her the Ding’s and at least they are rich, so that after she gets theirs, she will not worry about her food and clothing. It’s good for her!”

"So what? As long as Jennifer is happy, it’s enough!” Michael Huo sneered, "Besides, the Huo’s is rich, so why does she need to marry a rich man again?”

Linda Yun didn’t say anything and just gazed at the guy.

For the first time, she felt there was no deny that the guy was so cool.

"Nonsense!” Qu Zhirong was irritated badly and said, "David Huo, look at your son. Is he making any sense? We don’t know what will be said about Jennifer’s suicide and the Ding’s still out there, waiting at the lobby. Now she is not going to marry Ding Wei. What is going on here?”

David Huo looked at Jennifer who was crying and asked, "Jennifer, you don’t like that Ding Wei, do you?”

Jennifer Huo didn’t answer but her tears came down more heavily.

David Huo frowned and sighed, saying, "Fine, You are not getting married. You brother was right. As long as you like, I’ll raise you!”

Jennifer Huo finally looked at David Huo and said with a trembling voice, "Dad......”

David Huo held her hands and said, "You don’t need to marry him. You don’t have to!”

"Oh god. You are all out of your mind!” Qu Zhirong was so angry that she began to pace back and forth at the room, "Fine. I don’t care. It’s your choice!”

Then she slammed the door and left angrily.

"Michael, take good care of your sister. I’ll go and find your mom!”

After saying this, David Huo hurriedly went out.

David Huo came to her quickly and grabbed her wrist and said coldly, "Why are you doing this now?”

Qu Zhirong looked at him and her eyes were cold. She said, "Why am I doing this? Isn’t she your daughter? Do you want her not to get married for the rest of her life?”

David Huo frowned and said, "I just want Jennifer to be happy. She doesn’t want to get married. You forced her to marry the man she doesn’t love. You are pushing her to a fire place. Our daughter was born stubborn. This time she could not kill herself, but if we push her again, she may......”

He didn’t finish his words because what he meant to show was explicit to everyone.

Qu ZHiong pulled her hand back violently and said, "I forced her? Fine, I’m the bad guy here, OK? In the Huo’s, I’m a stranger, OK?”

After ping these words, she walked forth angrily.

David Huo came up to her again and grabbed her and said, "You know what I mean. You have to make such a fuss? Look at Jennifer and Michael. These two kids hate you now!”

Qu Zhirong glanced at David Huo and said in a ironic tone, "Hate me? Uh, am I their step mother?”

David Huo frowned and didn’t say anything.

QU Zhirong was staring at him. And his eyes were filled with more and more disappointment. She said, "Now you are playing the role as a kind father. I had told you that I don’t want any child, but you wish to have babies. Then I gave birth to them, and now I’m the bad one?”

"Zhirong, that’s not what I mean.....”

"Don’t call me like this!” Qu Zhirong said angrily, "David Huo, don’t forget what you have promised me!”

David Huo’s eyes started to filled with disappointment.

But he was still holding her hand.

A few seconds later, he looked up at her with a sad expression, saying, "They are not outsiders. They came from you. Don’t you ever feel painful about their suffering?”

Qu Zhirong looked at him and her eyes were full of cold, but what was more was silence.

"If I don’t care about them, would I be so worried? Do you actually think that you just leave Jennifer alone like this is good for her? Once the news between her and Richard Qu gets exposed, she would be drowned to death by people’s judging and discussing!”

"I’ll protect her!” David Huo quickly answered, "I won’t let anything happen to our daughter!”

"Really?” She sneered and continued, "If you can actually make sure of that, then why such a wrong relationship would occurred. You said that I just needed to give birth to babies and you would handle the raising job. Did you do that well?”

Faced with the harsh reprimands from Qu Zhirong, David Huo turned silent.

"David Huo, I won’t do anything to Jennifer. You do what you want, but remember, if anything happens to Susan, you know that I won’t just let go!” Then, she pulled back her hand violently and left.

At the corridor, David Huo was wearing a tired expression, which really aged him a lot......
