It was as silent as the grave.

At this moment, there was no sound except the lights.

Everybody was in a trance.

Debra Huo had kissed the girl?

When everybody came to their senses, music was played.

The attractive girl was dancing in the middle of the dancing floor.

Everybody looked at each other. What on earth had happened?

One song was finished.

Debra Huo looked at the girl slightly blushing in his arms and couldn’t help curving the corner of his lips and smiling.

Then, he held her, turned around and looked at everybody： “Thanks for coming to take part in the birthday party of my wife today!”

“What?” Everybody gasped.

Wife?

That little girl was Debra Huo’s wife?

Laura Su was also in a daze. Her entire heart kept thumping, and she looked at the man beside her in surprise.

Had he just introduced her to everybody?

“Mr. Huo, you…you can’t be kidding, right?” Someone stumbled and inquired.

Debra Huo looked at Laura Su softly; the smile at the corner of his mouth was as sweet as if he had had honey： “Do I look like kidding?”

After it, he looked at everybody.

They also looked at each other but didn’t know what to say.

Other girls started to wail one after another.

They were supposed to take part in the party joyously. They were thinking about showing off so as to be in the good books of Debra Huo.

But who would have expected…?

May Su, who was standing at the corner, was so mad that both her eyes turned red…

How could the man who was like God marry that silly girl?

The more she thought about it, the angrier May Su became; and the angrier she was, the more she wanted to take revenge on her.

After the shock, everybody continued eating and drinking.

It was just everybody was a little absent－minded.

They had supposed Debra Huo to be joking.

They didn’t know it was real until they saw the sincerest blessings sent by Michael Huo and Linda Yun to their future daughter－in－law.

Moreover, the little princess that was the apple in Michael Huo’s eyes also came to the spot.

She had even sent gifts worth tens of millions of yuan.

Such a feat was telling everybody that the whole family valued this little girl.

It was also because of it that the ladies had to see the truth.

They had lost.

It was just because of the endless softness in the man’s eyes.

On the contrary, Nancy Xi was in a good mood. Everything became quiet.

The next second, she ran to get some food.

She was so hungry!

“Are you so hungry?”

A jeering sound was suddenly heard by Nancy Xi , so she answered consciously.

But she was dumbfounded after answering in this way.

She immediately turned around and met two smiling eyes.

This was the first time he smiled to her in this way.

The smile was surprisingly gentle to her.

“What’s up? We just met a while ago, have you forgotten me already?” Walter Nan touched her forehead unpleasantly, “Why don’t you greet me yet?”

Nancy Xi remained silent and looked at him in tears.

After what had happened last time, she didn’t even have enough time to talk to him or listen to his explanation before he went back to the army for months.

She should have been happy, since she was finally free from his pestering…

The fact was… she was sad on the contrary.

She was panicked and overwhelmed.

Walter Nan couldn’t help reaching out his hand and wiped away her tears that were about to on seeing her eyes turning red. Then, he bent over and said beside her ears in an evil way： “If you keep crying, I’ll let you cry until daybreak.”

The familiar and ruffian words made Nancy Xi smile through tears at once.

Right, this was supposed to be the Walter Nan she knew!

Laura Su wanted to look for Nancy Xi after she talked with Marie Huo.

But she failed to find her after searching in the crowd for a long time. She came across an acquaintance instead.

“Are you looking for Nancy Xi ?” May Su looked at her with hands around her waist.

Laura Su looked at her with knitted brows： “Have you met Nancy?”

“Of course!”

“Where is she?” Laura Su inquired, “Why can’t I even get through on the phone?”

“She went away with a man!” She raised her eyebrows and said.

“A man?”

“Right, a man in a military uniform.”

On hearing it, Laura Su knew instantly, that must be Walter Nan.

“Thanks!” Now that she knew Nancy Xi was safe, she intended to leave.

“Laura!” May Su stopped her, “Why do you hate me like this? Won’t you even give a few minutes for me?”

Laura Su remained still. She said with a faint voice： “I have nothing to talk to you. Or rather, our family have nothing to talk to you.”

After that, she was about to leave.

“Don’t you want to know why your Dad would die?” May Su stopped her abruptly.

Laura Su stopped her steps. She couldn’t help turning around and looking at her： “What do you mean?”

“Your Dad was indeed ill, but he shouldn’t have died so soon. Do you know why he would die so soon?”

Laura Su said nothing. She looked at her vigilantly.

“If you want to know the answer, follow me. Don’t worry. I won’t take you away from the Huo’s. But I don’t want a third person to hear what I say.” With it, May Su walked towards the back garden.

On seeing it, Laura Su followed her.

This was the Huo’s, so May Su wouldn’t dare to do anything to her however bold she was.

The two came to the back garden. Laura Su asked directly： “What were you talking about? Is there any secret about my Dad’s death?”

“Of course!” May Su smiled in a weird way, turned around and looked at her, “Uncle Su was dying, but…before he died, we met each other…”

Laura Su knitted her eyebrows. A sense of uneasiness spread at the bottom of her heart： “What did you do?”

“Nothing, we just chattered about some domestic trifles with him!”

“That’s impossible!” Laura Su looked at her, and grabbed her wrists, “What on earth did you do to my Dad?”

On seeing how anxious she was, May Su was laughing more happily： “What did we do? Hah, just…”

She slowly got close to her ears. Just when she was defenseless, she took a needle in her hand and stabbed it in her arm.

“Ouch…”

The sudden stab made Laura Su push her away. Then, she pulled out the needle in her arm resolutely and threw it on the ground.

“Wh..what is this?”

“Have a guess!” May Su laughed more happily, “Laura Su, do you know that you were like my green leaves since our childhood. One day, the green leaves covered the flowers. Don’t you think it’s maddening?”

Laura Su was a little dazed. She tried hard to look at her： “What…what on earth did you do to my Dad?”

May Su squatted down： “We told him how we had betrayed him, how we had sold his company, grabbed his fortune and how we would arrange your life in the future. Hah, we just told him we would marry you to an old man, Uncle Su was angered to spit out blood. Hah!”

Laura Su’s eyes were burning, and she stared at her angrily.

May Su reached out her hand and patted her on the face： “I’ve injected philtre into your body. In a moment, you’ll be aflame with sexual desire. Then, you will strip off yourself and dance in front of everybody. Aha, I’d like to know whether he still wants you by that time.”

“You are insane!” Laura Su roared angrily but found herself panting a lot.

“Right, I am insane. But that is forced by you. Laura Su, don’t think about winning over the man that I can’t have.” May Su smiled in a weird way and tore her clothes apart forcefully. The next second, she was laughing more happily, “You are so beautiful! Such a beauty should be appreciated by more people!”

After it, she stood up, and looked at her in a commanding way： “Laura Su, I want to make your 18th birthday a shadow you can’t drive off for the rest of your life!”

After it, she rushed to the banquet hall.

Laura Su was a little dizzy. Her breath became shorter and shorter, and she started to feel as if she were on fire.

She could never let May Su get her way.

If she was really naked in front of everybody, then…

She would rather die.

She slowly supported herself against the wall and stood up bit by bit, pulled up her dress with her trembling hands, and then, walked inside with shivering legs.
