CEO Proposed to His Ex-wife 99 Times novel Chapter 256

Kyle saw that Marshall mentioned Katherine and Hector, and before Marshall could finish the question, he laughed, "You also feel that the two of them have a good relationship. I think so too, so sometimes I am really jealous, Katherine prefers Hector much more than me."

Marshall didn’t finish his question.

Kyle drank all the wine, and then asked the bartender to fill it up.

He hiccuped, then turned to look at Marshall, "What did you and Kathy do today? We can’t find you. Hex and I waited at the club all day."

Marshall lowered his head and didn't answer.

What happened in the Grant’s house was not important, and best to drop it.

Fortunately, Kyle was not in the mood to hear Marshall’s complaints. He then said, "You are not yourself today."

Marshall said, "Yeah."

He was not himself, and he felt it.

After a while, Marshall said in a low voice, "Maybe I’m crazy."

The music was too loud, and Kyle didn't hear Marshall clearly.

Marshall and Kyle didn't go to the private room. There were only two of them and it was cheerless.

They were chatting in their booth.

Kyle enlivened the atmosphere and talked about everything.

Marshall was not talkative and just listened.

With all the drinking, Kyle blacked out.

He slowly fell on the table.

Marshall felt that someone patted him on the shoulder.

He turned his head and saw a beautiful woman.

He smiled; she was more charming than Katherine.

Seeing Marshall’s smile, the woman also smiled, "It's boring for two men to drink alone."

Marshall sat up straight, and said, "Well, now we have you."

He had never said such frivolous words before, except for occasionally dirty words to Katherine when they had sex.

Marshall knew that he was not himself today.

It drove him crazy and made him lose control.

The woman smiled coquettishly, and leaned towards Marshall.

Marshall closed his eyes, fortunately, the smell on her was not that cheap.

Kyle lay on the counter, mumbling, not knowing what he was talking about.

He couldn’t stop talking even when he drank heavily.

The woman's hand was still on Marshall's shoulder, rubbing slowly, "Your friend seems to be drinking too much."

Marshall nodded.

The woman thought for a while and said, "Do you have any companions? Do you want someone to send him home, or leave him here?"

Marshall raised his eyebrows and pretended being confused.

The woman chuckled, her whole body was attached on Marshall, "Shall we find another place?"

The woman smelled strongly of liquor, and she stared at Marshall's lips with charming eyes.

What she wanted was obvious.

Marshall looked at her with a poker-face for a long while and then he said, “ Fine.”.

Katherine woke up in the middle of the night, and turned over.

She wanted to go to the window to see if Marshall came back, but she changed her mind on second thought.

What was the difference whether he came back or not?

Anyway, she didn't want to see him now.

Katherine was lying with her back to the window, wide awake.

She and Marshall must have a showdown to the public.

It was just that she couldn’t find a proper reason.

She didn't want this reason to be that she cheated.

What she said to Marshall today was angry words, and she didn't want to ruin her reputation.

And the reason couldn’t be that Marshall cheated, because he didn’t.

If the divorce had nothing to do with cheating, then what was the appropriate reason?

She and Marshall had displayed affection before, it was a bit far-fetched to say that they had incompatibility of temperament.

Katherine felt that she racked her brains and didn't come up with a proper excuse.

She was awake until dawn.

She didn't eat last night. Although she was in a bad mood and had no appetite, she still felt hungry.

Katherine got up to wash, then went downstairs.

Marshall's car was not in the yard.

He stayed out all night.

Well, it was okay. It was better that he got caught when he cheated, so she could find a proper reason to divorce him.

Katherine cooked slowly, and Marshall hadn't returned after she finished.

She cleaned up and went to the shop.

Peter Richardson happened to be there, he didn't know anything, but when he saw Katherine, he was surprised, “Why don’t you conceal your dark circles?”

Katherine put the sunglasses on, "You can’t see them now."

Peter laughed, "What's the matter? What have you done last night to make you stay up all night?"

Katherine sighed, "I didn't do anything, just insomnia."

She didn't want to talk much.

Katherine didn't ask, and the two of them were sitting at the door listening to the noise of the fitment.

After a while, Katherine took out her phone, and it was a Facebook message.

It was Hector, mainly to ask her if she felt more comfortable.

Katherine replied that she was okay.

Hector asked her to go to find Kyle.

Katherine checked the time, and agreed.

The fitment went smoothly, it seemed to be quite fast.

She was not of a big help here.

Katherine said goodbye to Peter, and then took a taxi to where Kyle was.

Kyle was sleeping soundly with his head covered.

The server of the club recognized Katherine and notified Kyle.

Kyle walked out of the room bleary-eyed and with a hangover.

He was shirtless, and his hair was messy.

He opened one eye and stared at Katherine for a long time before recognizing her, "It's you, Kathy."

Katherine disliked his messy appearance, "Kyle, what did you do last night? It seems that you have been ravaged."

Kyle sighed, "Don't talk nonsense."

He was in his barefoot, and sat on the sofa in the hallway, not feeling offensive to the eye.

He leaned back, "I just found out Marshall was such a bad guy."

Katherine was surprised, and she didn't know why the topic was about Marshall.

But she immediately agreed, "Indeed."

Kyle sighed, "I drank too much yesterday, and I blacked out. Then Marshall called a cab and left me. How could he feel relieved leaving a dead drunk man alone?"

Katherine looked at Kyle, "Did you drink together yesterday?"

Kyle said, "Yes, at the bar. I get drunk easily and Marshall didn't send me back."

Katherine smiled, "When did you come back yesterday?"

Kyle didn't remember, but the clubhouse hadn't closed at that time, and the doorman helped him in.

Kyle called the doorman.

The doorman remembered clearly, "It's past ten o'clock, and not eleven o'clock yet."

A surge of emotion flooded in Katherine’s mind, making her look more lively than usual.

She smirked.
