CEO Proposed to His Ex-wife 99 Times novel Chapter 265

Eyes met for a while, Katherine asked first, “What are you sitting here for?”

Marshall replied, “I’m here to pack up my stuff.”

Right, Katherine almost forgot this. Now that their divorce news was out, they had no reason to live together anymore.

Katherine so nodded, “Okay.”

She then went to the kitchen to fix the breakfast.

After sitting on the sofa for a while longer, Marshall got upstairs.

He didn’t harbor a lot of items here, so it didn’t take long for him to collect.

Carrying the suitcase in hands, Marshall got downstairs and looked at Katherine who was busying around in the kitchen.

Katherine didn’t know why, but she suddenly got uneasy.

Well, this was supposed to a merry thing which they can had a fun time over and he could just naturally move out, so that they didn’t have to go through this sort of awkward situation, but he just got to be serious, so Katherine got a bit downcast, too.

Katherine turned around and stood by the kitchen door, “Did you have breakfast yet?”

“No.”

Katherine then let out of a breath, “Well, grab a bite here then. It’s almost done.”

Marshall put down the suitcase by the door. “Sure.”

What a brisk answer.

Katherine then returned back to the kitchen and Marshall went to the dining room.

‘What the hell was happening now? They didn’t even experience such a hustle when they divorced.’

When the breakfast was ready, Kathrine served it in the dining room.

Marshall’s face was a bit darkened, so Katherine remained silent all the way.

She usually fixed herself Chinese-style breakfast, porridge and fried dumplings with salted vegetables.

Marshall would only have bread and milk before. Katherine was actually considering making them for him before, but then she thought why should she be making herself hard and spoiling on him?

She only wanted to make the Chinese-style ones. He could either have it or leave it.

To Katherine’s surprise, Marshall had a bit more than she had imagined before.

Kathrine didn’t know if it was because he was hungry or she really made a yummy meal.

After having the meal silently, Marshall wanted to wash the dishes, but Katherine hurriedly stood up and stopped, “No, no. I can do it myself. Don’t bother.”

A single sentence just estranged their relationship.

Marshall paused for a while and replied okay. Then he said, “I’m going to go then.”

Katherine smiled, “Be careful on the road.”

Marshall then fetched his suitcase by the door and left.

Katherine just stood by the dining room door and looked at him. After Marshall was finally gone, she let out a long breath of relief.

Then she did the dishes and hurried to Marshall’s room to scan around.

Well, it was all empty now. All his stuff was gone.

After examining around satisfactorily, Katherine went back to her bedroom and started looking through all the news online.

The news was quite objective, but some of the comments were indeed mean.

Even that it was exposed that they had divorced, Clara was also trolled as the homewrecker that led to the breakup of Marshall and Katherine.

When Katherine saw the word “homewrecker”, she actually was wondering who was the real one, she or Clara?

Well, Clara wasn’t exactly the legit one.

It was herself who just barged in and snatched Marshall.

But, she definitely didn’t fit into the definition, either. She just followed the senior’s thought. What’s more, it wasn’t like that they had been dating for years. They just got engaged according to their family’s arrangements.

Katherine scratched her head and couldn’t figure out all the ins and outs.

But fortunately, all these troubles were gone.

Katherine specifically checked all the comments related to her and found that a lot of people felt sorry for her. After all, she seemed like to be the victim here.

Rest assured. Katherine gave Kyle a call.

It looked like that Kyle had been waiting for her call since he picked up at once.

He seemed worried, “Katherine, you must be feeling terrible. You can tell me everything. It’s okay. I got you.”

Katherine didn’t know what Kyle was being emotional for, since he had learned about her long divorced marriage with Marshall before and should know that there was no way she was feeling sad.

Katherine directly asked, “You guys asked the press to make those reports unbiased, right?”

Those articles were quite objective and were somewhat favoring Marshall.

Normally, the media would just fan the flame and stir up netizen’s emotions.

But these reports did none of that.

Kyle cracked a smiled, “Well, actually, I didn’t make it happen, my sister Rosalie did. She said that the thing would roll out of control if the media bullshits on that. She had some connections in this filed, so helped a little.”

Katherine smiled, “Remember to thank your sister for me.”

Kyle said a while, “My sister quite like you.”

Katherine raised her eyebrows and thought that maybe Rosalie had never met girls like her before. She must be constantly surrounded by a bunch of socialites like Clara.

So she would find girls like her who was rough novel and curious.

While she was talking to Kyle, Hector called.

Katherine paused and said to Kyle, “Hector is calling. I’d better hang up and see what he’s calling for.”

Kyle giggled, “Sure, talk to you later.”

Hector actually was also contacting Katherine for what was happening up on the Internet now and was afraid that she might be influenced by those comments.

Lying on the bed, Katherine replied, “I’m actually pretty good. I think that I’m the favored one in this accident.”

Hector nodded and asked, “Where are you? Are you at home? Where is Marshall?”

Katherine tossed over, “Marshall had moved out with all his stuff. I’m at home now. I figured that I’d better stay at home for these couple of days. Though I wasn’t exactly a celebrity, I had showed my face on the media before. So I should lay low for a while.”

Hector replied, “Right, just wait till the whole thing blows over. It should be quite troublesome if somebody recognizes you.”

Then they chatted for a while and hung up the phone.

Staring at the window side, Katherine suddenly felt like that she didn’t know how to kill all this time.

After packing up his stuff, Marshall went back to the mansion.

Eyes swollen, Mrs. Grant was sitting on the sofa and looked blank.

Khalid slept in the guest room last night and just glanced at her when he went to work this morning.

Mrs. Grant had always been doted on by Khalid and can’t in no way accept the way he was treating her.

What’s more, it seemed like that Old Mrs. Grant didn’t even want to land her eyes on her. When she had breakfast this morning, her face was all darkened and even told the maid that she would dine in her own room later and clearly didn’t want to see her.

Mrs. Grant had been sitting in the living room all morning, but no one talked to her.

She was terrible inside and couldn’t just figure out what on earth did she do wrong.

She did everything for this family and somehow, she was the sinner.

Mrs. Grant saw Marshall immediately when he returned back to the mansion and hurriedly stood up, “Marshall, you’re finally moving back. This is great. From now on, you got nothing to do with that Katherine. You finally got rid of her!”

Marshall stared at Mrs. Grant seriously and dodged when Mrs. Grant tried to lift his suitcase for him.

Mrs. Grant paused and asked, “Marshall?”

Marshall gazed at her, “Are you happy now? Are you satisfied now?”
