CEO Proposed to His Ex-wife 99 Times novel Chapter 280

Marshall had never done this before, and he wasn’t entirely sure what was going through his mind. He just felt jittery and a bit restless. He kept wanting to do something, but he didn’t know what it was that he should do.

Martin Newman had finished lunch, and Marshall leave with him. They got into a car waiting downstairs, and from the rear-view mirror, Marshall could see Hector and his gang walking out of the restaurant.

He would be going to Katherine’s place after he was done here. Why would he go visit Katherine when he was reeking of wine and cigarettes?

Marshall’s expressions darkened.

The car slowly pulled over at a hotel. Not comprehending what was happening, Newman turned to look at Marshall, who told him through a smirk, “We’ve got a room for you. You don’t even have to register with your real ID.”

Assured, Newman went in with Marshall and got into the elevator.

Peter was waiting for them outside their room. As Marshall and Newman approached, Peter grinned. “Mr. Newman, long time no see.”

Newman smiled back as a greeting.

The room was opened from the inside after Peter knocked, and a pretty young girl stood before their eyes. Newman perked up instantly.

Marshall walked into the room after Newman. There was another woman by the window. Seeing him, she walked over and looped one arm through his. “What took you so long?”

Marshall smiled at her. “We just finished lunch, and also ran into a traffic jam on the way over. It could have taken much longer.”

Patting gently on his chest, the woman said, “Well, you’ve kept me waiting for long enough.”

Newman was watching them with a tacit smirk. He was also happy with the fact that the girl in his arms looked much younger than the one Marshall was with.

Stroking the girl’s cheeks, he asked, “18 yet?”

Marshall laughed. “Mr. Newman, we always operate by the book.”

Chortling, Newman ogled at the girl. “Sorry, my bad.”

Peter was waiting outside the room by the door, one of his legs curled up against the wall.

Out came Marshall after a short while, who had taken off his jacket and undone two buttons on his shirt and nothing else.

Checking on Marshall, Peter asked, “You okay?” And he got silent when Marshall glared at him.

Marshall began to head out. “You don’t have to wait long. As soon as they show up, you can get out of here.”

“Got it,” answered Peter.

Marshall walked out of the hotel and got into the car.

“Where shall we go now, sir?” asked the chauffeur.

And that Marshall wasn’t sure. He didn’t want to, and honestly couldn’t, go anywhere.

He took a long, hesitant pause before slowly giving an address.

Katherine was getting tired of Kyle, who insisted on being in her home with her, and she had asked repeatedly when he was going to leave.
