CEO Proposed to His Ex-wife 99 Times novel Chapter 306

In a fret, Marshall waved his hand, "Fine, just tell him that."

Actually, he didn't even know what Peter was going to tell Kyle.

Leaving those documents on Marshall's table, Peter was not in haste for what he needed, turned around and left.

Marshall lifted those papers from the table, and spent time trying to go through the details. However, he was just continually distracted by something else in his head.

He put them down, and knocked on his forehead, thinking that he must be insane obsessing about all those trifles.

In the corridor, Peter phoned Kyle and told him everything that he had just found.

In a vexed manner, Kyle huffed, "So Ariel was the one, wasn't she? I felt that something about her was not right before, and guess what? I got to the point! Just wait and see, she shall pay for that!"

In fact, Peter was still yet to figure it out, "But it would then be a puzzle why she turned to Marcus, which was indeed a waste of time and effort if she was really scheming against you."

Kyle sneered, "Don't be fool, man. She did it."

Previously, in Kyle's backyard, Marcus had suspiciously locked himself up with his fellows in a private room, and prevented two of Kyle's staffs from getting in.

As two of Kyle's mahjong buddies, the two were smart enough to sense the eccentricity of the group. Although they didn't know what the group was exactly doing inside, it was definitely something despicable and shady.

At that moment, the police were approaching there, and inevitably made some noises in the middle of their way.

Then, the two staffs yelled at those men inside, "It's cops!"

It worked. As the group inside was thrown into panic, the two staffs took the chance to get inside and take a glance at what they were doing, and soon moved to the next room.

In the backyard of Kyle's clubhouse, Marcus and his fellow had actually placed conspicuous drugs inside each private room.

Luckily, the two staffs were agile enough to search every single room where Marcus used to stay, rummaged out those drugs left by him and stuffed them into a big jar set up in the center of the courtyard behind.

What they had done really saved the day. If without their timely effort, the policewomen would have already found those illicit drugs and incriminated Kyle.

Afterwards, Kyle offered the two staffs, who were at the same time his sharp-witted mahjong buddies, a decent reward.

However, he didn't tell Peter about that, and merely mentioned that such things brought him even more notoriety.

He said he could not just let it pass.

Still, Peter persuaded, "You'd better find sometime to talk to Marcus. He might tell you the one behind all this."

Kyle answered, "I know what to do next. Thanks a lot, Peter, and please convey my thanks to Marshall, either."

However, in fact, Marcus was now in detention center. It was said that he had long been in drug addiction, and was likely to receive further mandatory drug treatment.

He got hot under the collar every time he reminded himself of that little druggie, whom he could hardly meet at present.

And for his family, he felt disdainful to ask for their help, assuming that those good-for-nothing fellows knew nothing about that.

Now, with what he heard from Peter, Kyle was sitting in his clubhouse, rubbing his chin and wondering how to take his revenge on Ariel, the woman who was behind all this.

Previously, a group of police officers came, closed his clubhouse for a few days and nearly turned his place upside down, but fortunately their efforts to search turned up nothing at the end.

Thanks to Rosalie, who pulled a few stings to pour oil on the troubled waters, the clubhouse was now reopened again.

For those staffs of the clubhouse, they had long been inured to any unexpected situation like this. Therefore, they soon left that thing behind, and considered it as nothing more than a topic of leisure-time chat.

As Kyle was sitting there and getting himself touchy about how to get revenge on Ariel, Katherine and Hector were back.

At the moment when Katherine stepped into the clubhouse, she saw Kyle sitting on the sofa with his legs crossed and seemingly in vexation conspiring against somebody.

Katherine came over, "What's wrong, Kyle? Got something in your head?"

Noticing that Katherine was back, Kyle said, "Hey, Katherine! Getting back from the test center, huh?"

"Yes." Sitting down by the side of Kyle, Katherine stretched herself and answered.

In haste, Kyle continued, "So, how about it?"

Hector offered a laugh, and sat down on the other side.

Katherine pulled a long face, "What do you actually mean by asking that?"

Kyle laughed loud to cover his embarrassment, "Indeed, you will pass the test no matter what!"

Then, he changed the topic, and excitedly told them everything that he heard from Peter.

With her eyes popped, Katherine said, "I knew it was them!"

Hector, with a sullen face, growled, "Before, I didn't expect that Kevin's wife was such an insidious bitch. Now, I can tell that all her previous timidity and harmlessness was merely a play-acting."

Kyle then turned to Hector, "You must have suffered from her a lot before, bro. Don't you worry, I will make her pay for it this time!"

Hector leaned back on the sofa, "It won't be that easy, Kyle. She has long been a flexible and crafty woman, and has got a quantity of ways to get herself out of trouble."

As an exceptionally tolerant and scheming woman, she could keep smiling even if someone had humiliated her to her face; what's more, if something bad happened to her, she would see it as nothing serious, while someone else might think that it was a frustrating dilemma.

By doing things this way, she sacrificed her fame, schemed against Kevin and had successfully married into Bennett Family at the end.

It was a fair trade for her — after all, she cared nothing for her own reputation.

Hector's words reminded Kyle of something, "Yes, you got the point! I almost forgot that she was such an unscrupulous woman who had not only exposed the nude pictures between her and Kevin to the medias, but also paid them to break into the room when she and Kevin were on the bed! She has been sophisticated enough to handle any kind of troubles."

Saying so, Kyle scratched his ears and cheeks in embarrassment. Then, slowly, he squatted on the sofa with his hands put on his knees.

Katherine placed a restraining hand on his shoulder and said, "Hey, you are sitting like a stupid monkey, you know?"

Kyle turned to Katherine, "Do me a favor, Kathy. Find a way out for me to take revenge on her, since I fail to figure out anyone else as scheming as you do."

With anger, Katherine opened her eyes wide and asked, "What did you say?"

At the moment, Hector said on the other side, "There are only two things that Ariel cares about in her life. One is her identity as the hostess of Bennett Family, and the other is her children."

Kyle turned around and looked at Hector. It would be quite a difficult task to turn Ariel out of Bennett Family: if he was really going to do so, the first thing he would need to do was to introduce a new woman into Kevin life, a woman who would be as attractive to him as Ariel did.

However, a second thought deterred Kyle from pushing the idea further, since it would be unfair for those young ladies to sacrifice themselves to seduce an old man with stiff legs like Kevin.

At the end, every single thought inside his mind led him to the two children of Ariel. Fortunately, it would be relatively easier if he started with the two siblings, since they were nothing but merely two shallow-brained oafs.

Kyle patted his own thigh and said with please, "That's it! I have found a way now!"

At the next moment, he turned to Katherine and shifted the topic unexpectedly, "By the way, I have just received a phone call from your ex, and he has asked me a whole lot of things about you, Katherine. Ha, it almost makes me feel that you guys are actually still in love with each other!"
