CEO Proposed to His Ex-wife 99 Times novel Chapter 310

Seeing that, Marshall laughed, and said with relish, "Go on, tell me why."

Katherine pulled her face, and her eyes wandered from Marshall to Clara.

In a whisper, she continued, "I don't have to tell you that. Anyway, you're not the sort of good man."

Marshall answered, "If you are talking about what happened last night, I can tell you that it was all caused by my impulsion."

Tutting, Katherine thought that he was trying to fool her by speaking nonsense.

Kyle got close to the two, and asked in a sneaky manner, "So, what happened last night? I thought you guys have already divorced."

Katherine turned to him and said, "Shut up."

Marshall hummed, and spoke as if to himself, "After all, we are both single now, and anything could happen between two singles. What's more, we are quite familiar with each other."

Annoyed, Katherine sneered with anger, "You should really think twice before you speak. And tell you what? I care about my own fame, and if you want to ruin yours, you are totally free to do so, just don't get me involved, you shameless asshole."

Sitting by the other side, though Clara did not join their conversation, she had heard it all.

With her wrenched, Clara was confused by his explicit words.

'Does he mean that they have spent a night together?' She wondered in her mind.

In Clara's memory, Marshall was a man serious in speech and manner, and would never play any jokes or speak any nonsense.

Which meant he was just telling the truth.

Clara pinched her skirt, and kept a calm expression on her face.

Marshall smiled, with his eyes on Kyle, "Fine, I'm going to stop here. Just guess the rest of the story yourself."

Taking a sneaking glance at Katherine, Kyle had his eyes wander back to Marshall.

Katherine stared at Marshall for a while, and sneered, "Fine, speaking of that, I'm wondering why you, Mr. Grant, went into my house last night. Tell me, would you, Mr. Grant?"

Her question really stunned Marshall.

In fact, he had been puzzling over for a long while before he headed to Katherine's place.

In recent days, he had been haunted by things about Katherine in his head, and he could not tell why.

Finally, the eagerness for an answer led him to Katherine's place.

By that time, Katherine was not at home, and all doors and windows on the first floor had been locked up tight.

Then, he climbed up to the balcony on the second floor, and, as he had expected, the balcony's door was unlocked.

He then went inside. During his stay in Katherine's bedroom, he had actually thought about leaving before Katherine came back.

Though he thought so in his head, he just failed to actually leave, and waited until Katherine came back.

Fidgeting on the second floor, he was for a second afraid to see Katherine coming back together with Hector.

Fortunately, she came back alone.

Katherine sat aside, looked at Marshall and nudged him, "Hey, I'm speaking to you. Answer my question: why the hell did you go into my house last night?"

Marshall turned to Katherine, with the corner of his mouth lifted, "Nothing. I just wanted to check whether you are good."

Katherine pursed her mouth, and said, "Of course, I'm good by any measure."

With a thin smile on his face, Marshall said, "Yeah, you're good."

Katherine stared at Marshall for a while, sat firm and tutted, "Sick."

Out of the corner of his eyes, Marshall took a quick glance at those media workers standing not far away, and had their cameras aimed at their three.

They might have got what they wanted, since he and the other two were really having a nice chat here.

A while later, Walters Family's people arrived.

Supported by someone beside her, Old Mrs. Walters was here too. She was old, and looked thin and wrinkled, which made it hard for her to completely fill in the traditional Chinese garment worn on her back.

However, her smiling face made her look aglow with health on the whole.

Katherine took a look at her, and then said to Marshall, "I guess she is about the age of grandma."
