Hardwick's POV

I walked inside the study and loosened the button on my shirt. Sitting down on the chair I grabbed the first file placed on the table. Last night was a wild one. I couldn't ignore the flashing scenes in my head.

Fuck. I shook my head. What the hell is happening? My mind is clouded with the thoughts of my mate. And besides that I couldn't think of anything.

~ We should not have left her like that ~ Onyx said in my mind.

I flipped the pages running my eyes through the content.

I frowned. Onyx is right. It has been over months and now it's the perfect time to crown her as Luna officially. Though the whole pack knows about her identity but East Side doesn't know much about her. I guess they haven't seen her at all. So I can't take more time and delay the ceremony. "Finally you are here. I have been looking for you in the whole pack" Ryan walked in with a sigh. I looked up and found him sitting on the chair with thud.

"What happened?"

"I thought you went out for a jog"

Jog? I just woke up and even missed jogging time. With Savannah in my arms I don't know how long I have slept. With her I don't have any idea of time.

"I missed jogging," I replied.

"Missed?" Ryan frowned at first then he suddenly smiled "do you mean you were busy doing 'that' ?"

"You really have free time to talk about it?"

"I am just curious. You never miss your scheduled activities you know" he shrugged.

I closed the file and threw it aside "forget about it. What's the news about them?"

"Avan is not resting. I heard he is planning quietly this time. Even his father doesn't know about it. It seems he want to sneak attack"

"He is a coward so he will definitely use that way. Since he got another helping hand then how can leave this matter. After All he has been so eager to step in for such a long time"

"This is not the only thing. There's some other news too"

"Like?" I raised an eyebrow.

"Like he made a peace treaty recently with a more beneficial conditions"

"With whom?"

"Red Hunt Pack" Ryan pushed a few photos towards me "the meeting was held 3 days ago. Our informers took these photographs. The condition under which the two pack agreed to have the peace was Red Hunt will get the land beside Valley while in return Bright Shine will get half amount of Red Hint's weapons"

"What a good treaty!" I rolled my eyes. "Red Hunt is shrewd. They couldn't wait to get their hands over the property"

"But Avan didn't lose anything I guess. The valley land has not been active for so many years. So even if Red Hunt wanted to make it as their main base or something they need to work a lot on it. It's not easy to build some in such a wasteland so suddenly without preparation" Ryan shook his head.

"What weapons are they trading?" I asked, folding my arms around my chest.

"I heard years ago Red Hunt got a special stone called 'Corela' . I don't know how true it was but the stone can harm the wolf tribe severely. So Red Hunt has been making weapons using this stone"

"Stone?" I frowned "I have never heard about it. Is that why that bastard wanted to deal with them?"

"Who knows? It's not proven yet"

I slapped the table "I don't care about their fucking deals. What I want is for him to stay fucking away from my mate"

"Avan is a really ambitious person. He won't let it go so easily. Besides Luna was his ex mate and since D-"

"I know that. You need to pay more attention to them. I don't want them to take advantage of any small things"

"Don't worry. I will check on them from time to time" he nodded.

"Wait" he smirked and leaned a little "is it about Luna?"

I narrowed my eyes at him "looks like you are more attentive to my mate"

I rolled my eyes "I am not interested in your gossip"

"So is it about Luna?" He wiggled his eyebrows.

"It's high time that I should organise a crowning ceremony for Savannah" I said with a smile.

"What?" Ryan looked surprised "are you sure?'

"It's already long enough. Though the whole pack knows but I want to make it official for every other person to know it"

"That's great. I was also thinking about it. After that you can get married"

"Of course" he smirked "once you get married then I can follow the rule"

I rolled my eyes at his words.

Savannah's POV

"So how's the night?" Tanea's happy voice rang in the phone.

"Good," I replied curtly.

"Just good? What the hell? Didn't he like the arrangements?"

"He did"

"And then?"

"Do you want a detailed description now?" I asked as I looked at the phone rolling my eyes.

"Of course not. I just want to know whether you tried what I said to you or not"

"That ...." I blushed when the last night scene flashed in my mind. How am I going to say that?

"What? I am waiting. Have you done that?"

"Hm..."

I chuckled "don't mind him. But I am just happy that he loves me so much"

"Of course he does. And I can say that he is sad about you leaving the pack"

"I know. I miss you guys so much"

"Me too" she laughed "Okay since everything is cool in there I will be hanging up"

"Okay, take care"

"Same here honey"

I hung up and sighed. Tanea's plan of seducing Hardwick and making him happy worked well. I never thought I would be doing these things one day. It's like a dark fantasy which just happened in reality. I am glad even though I was nervous I could perform well after all keeping him happy is my first responsibility.

When I walked inside the kitchen I saw Jenny was sitting in the dining area writing something in the paper.

"Busy much" I said as I walked in.

She looked up and smiled "not really, I am just making list for tomorrow's goods"

I nodded "can I get a cup of coffee? My head is aching"

"Of course, please wait a moment"

I tapped on the white table as I waited for my coffee. Jenny comes back holding a steaming cup of coffee.

"Here you go" she placed the cup on the table with a smile.

"Thanks" I nodded and held the cup. Just as the smell of coffee hit my nostrils I felt like puking. I gulped down, hardly trying to control the urge that was rising with each passing second.

"Are you okay?" Jenner frowned at me.

"Yeah" I pushed the cup little far from me "um...it's still hot"

"Oh" she smiled.

"So what happened? I mean Ryan was about to meet your dad right?"

"He did," Jenny chuckled.

"Already?" I was surprised. I remembered Ryan was preparing to meet Jenny's dad officially.

"What did your dad say?"

"Dad was angry, really really angry. He scolded Ryan for being a playboy in the pack. He even accused Ryan saying he couldn't keep me happy because he has many girlfriends in and out of the pack and one day they will come troubling around"

I shrugged "your dad is right though"

Jenny nodded "that's what I feared also. Though he is my destined mate, he has many outside relations with uncountable women. I don't know how to react when one day I will meet one of them. I couldn't even fight much because my wolf does have such power" she laughed at the end.

I held her hand and smiled, "Ryan knows about it, doesn't it?"

She nodded "yeah"

"Then leave it to him. He knows what he is doing and definitely he would know what he will do too" I assured her. Even though I don't know Ryan much, I have heard lots from Hardwick and since Hardwick believes in him so much then Ryan is definitely a good guy. As for his playboy ways.... I rolled my eyes. Men are always like that. So no comments on this point.

"Anyways, did your dad agree?"

Jenny shook her head "dad is angry with him. He said he will never accept Ryan as his son in law. But dad can't deny the fact that he is my mate and we are fated together. So he didn't said anything about us"

"He will definitely agree wholeheartedly when he sees how good Ryan is. Don't worry as a father he will definitely want his daughter to be happy so at the end he will know what should be done"

Jenny nodded "thanks Mistress" then she looked at the cup "your coffee is getting cold"

I eyed the coffee and I couldn't hold back the urge. I don't know why I suddenly feel like this. This is my regular favourite coffee but today it seemed so different.

"I will-"

"You are here" I looked up and saw Hardwick coming in followed by Ryan. What's he doing here?

"Why are you here?" I frowned.

"Can't I come here?" He raised an eyebrow.

"I didn't mean that" I shook my head "it's just I didn't expect you to be here. These days you were so busy so I thought you must be in work"

He waved his hand and smiled "I am not busy today" he reached out his hand "come with me"

I looked at his then took it "where?"

Hardwick pulled me up swiftly and sneaked his arm around my waist "I have something to show you"

"Really? What is that?" I asked excitedly.

He chuckled "you are that curious?"

"Of course I am. This is the first time you are showing me something"

"Oh is it?"

I nodded.

"Then we should waste time. Let's go" he led me towards the door. From the corner of my eyes I saw Ryan pull Jenny in his arms. I shook my head and paid all my attention to my mate who was pulling me to somewhere only he knows.

"Why don't you tell me where you are taking me? Are you trying to kill me with curiosity?" I frowned. We already walked out of the kitchen but this man is not telling me anything. I suddenly felt annoyed.

"Wait for a moment baby" he chuckled.

"This is not fair. Just tell me"

"You want to know?" He looked down at me.

"Yes" I nodded.

He leaned down and whispered in my ear "sorry babe, it's surprise"
