Come back to Me, My Ex-Wife novel Chapter 12

The force was so strong that she was thrown onto the wall behind. Suddenly, she felt a bang of pain coming from the back of her head.

Soon, something warm started to stream down her nape from her head. Soon, her shirt was totally wet.

Margery gritted her teeth and supported herself up by holding the wall with her trembling hands. Before she could move her pale lips to explain herself, the cold voice sounded from above again, "Margery, if you dare to hurt Vivian again, I will take over the custody of Andrew and also your only property—the clinic you own! And I will transfer both of them to Vivian. Every time you want to see Andrew, you will have to beg her for permission! What about that?"

When hearing that, Margery couldn't help trembling all over. She raised her pale face, feeling cold down her arms. She stared at this attractive man wearing a handsome face with great disbelief, who had just hurt her again with sharp words.

Not only did she feel pain at the back of her head, but she felt like being stabbed into the heart by a sharp knife as if it were being cut into pieces.

Her love for him during these years was nothing but a big joke!

She clenched her fists so hard that her nails almost penetrated her palms. She tried hard to hold back the heartrending feelings and forced a weird smile, "Golden, you will definitely regret believing her one day!"

Golden frowned, showing no intention to respond. He took up his tailored suit jacket elegantly and put it on Vivian, who still looked feeble. Then he hugged her into his arms and walked towards the elevator.

While walking, he comforted her in a soft tone, "I know you cherish your own pretty face. I will ask the best doctor in this city to cure your face in two days. And I know that he happens to work here now."

Though Vivian's face swollen and she felt pain, she leaned against his strong chest with a complacent smile. Then she said in a tender tone, "It was just a mere slap. I am fine. Golden, don't be so anxious next time."

"I never deem myself too anxious because I did this for you." Golden hugged her tight and his frowning face seemed to relax. While walking away, he suddenly glanced at Margery with his seemingly calm but chilling eyes. Then he turned his back on her.
