Come back to Me, My Ex-Wife novel Chapter 40

For several days, Margery was busy taking care of Ethan in the hospital, and she had to discuss various treatment plans tailored to Golden with Dr. Lee.

She was so busy with work and Ethan that she didn't know she was targeted by Vivian.

This morning, Margery bent her head and put her hands on Ethan's thin waist to help him start a rehabilitation exercise, mainly on his injured right leg.

"Mommy, don't help me. I can do it myself."

Ethan looked cool and tried to push Margery away.

The little man felt ashamed to be helped along by his Mommy.

Margery had worked so hard to bring him up. When his face puckered, she knew what he was thinking. She squeezed his arm tenderly and smiled. "Does Ethan feel ashamed? It's okay, Mommy is helping you to walk now just to make you recover faster! Don't worry, I will not help you when your wounded leg is healed."

"All right." Ethan nodded dully.

He couldn't go far without Mammy's help, so he would have to leave it as it was.

The little boy looked up and saw the sweat on Margery's forehead. He pressed his lips and walked faster on his right leg, pretending that he needn't need help.

"You've exercised for about 40 minutes and stick to it."

Ethan shook his head and held out his small hand slowly. Margery was so tired that she took a deep breath and said, "Ethan, do you feel tired? Let's call it a day and continue tomorrow."

"I'm not tired, Mommy. I can continue." He pushed Margery away and stood on the edge of the bed, dragging his aching right leg to move forward inch by inch.

He needed to get recovered faster so he could protect Mommy and Bonnie.

Seeing that he was so insistent, Margery signed but didn't stop him.

At this time, the phone on the bedside table rang.

It was from Melvin. She picked it up immediately while taking out a few pieces of paper towels to wipe the sweat on her forehead.

Melvin laughed, "Margery, I have arranged for what you asked me to do. I have found dozens of beautiful girls with good shapes. They are all charming and good at singing and dancing, and even drinking. When do you have time to check it? Leave those who you think are fine and then weed out the ones you don't like."

"Melvin, how amazing you are finishing it so quickly!"

Margery raised her eyebrows in surprise, and smiled. "I just finished training for Ethan at the hospital. I have to go to Bok Hospital later, and I'll get back to you."

"All right, all right! I will wait for you."

Suddenly a charming and coquettish voice came from the side of Melvin, which both men and women couldn't stand.

Margery's hand trembled and she quickly hung up the phone.

Maybe the women he found were really charming.

That charming voice alone would turn a man on, not to mention that they were all in good shape. Margery didn't believe that Golden wouldn't be aroused.

If only he could have some reaction, she would be able to suit her methods to his illness.

"Ethan, Mommy has to go to Bok Hospital. Be good when you are alone. The nurse will come in and take care of you later. If you want to go to the bathroom, tell the nurse."

"I know, Mommy, bye-bye."

Ethan was used to Margery's busyness. Seeing that she was carrying her bag and went out, he waved his hand at her like a little gentleman, but kept a cool posture.

"Ethan, bye-bye, Mommy loves you."

Margery looked back and smiled as she looked at the little guy who remained cool even his leg was painful.

In a good mood, Margery got into the car, turned right and headed for Bok Hospital.

At the same time.

Vivian walked into the hall of Bok Hospital with leather bag of the latest limited edition.

She wore a delicate makeup, and she was noble from head to toe. But she could hardly hide the haggard look under her eyes, and the vague rage.

Head on, a nice-looking medical staff wearing a white coat came over, holding a stack of information.

Vivian stopped and glanced gently at the name card.

The card wrote 'Zola White' in black characters on white background, looking very neat.

An idea hit on her mind. Vivian walked over and asked softly, "Hello, Miss White. Is Dr. Byrne here?"

Zola did not respond at first, only staring at the beautiful woman in front of her. After a while, she recognized the woman as Vivian, the first socialite of H City. Zola was so excited that she spoke incoherently, "Ms. Martin, how did you come here? Are you looking for Margery? She's not here yet! Her son had an accident in the kindergarten a few days ago and she is taking care of her son in the hospital near the kindergarten. She will be here later. Oh, she came here after ten o'clock yesterday, and I reckon she will be here about ten o'clock."

The name 'Margery' made Vivian tremble.

She clenched her white and tender fingers, and her sharp nails pierced the tender flesh of her palm, causing her to feel a prickling pain. She raised an elegant smile and asked calmly, "Dr. Byrne's name is Margery? Does it spell M-A-R-G-E-R-Y?"

"Yes, it's a nice name, right? I have always loved her name. She is as beautiful as her name is. But..." Zola shook her head and kept sighing.

"What's wrong?"

Vivian smiled softly, but she flared up in heart.

"Her face! Margery has a completely different face. Although she is more beautiful, she lost the gentle beauty... Oh, Ms. Martin, I'm sorry for talking too much."

If Zola continued, she would reveal Margery's personal privacy, so she hurriedly closed her mouth.

"It doesn't matter." Vivian was calm on the surface, but she suppressed the anger in her heart.

So that was it.

No wonder Golden would be enchanted by her!

No wonder Golden would break up with her this morning.

But Margery had already died five years ago.

Who the Margery in Bok Hospital was?

Vivian suddenly felt chilly. She felt chilly by the news and she was petrified like a cold statue.

"You come to look for Margery, right? She hasn't come yet. I'll take you to her office first." Zola was hospitable.

Vivian smiled and nodded. "Great, thank you."

An evil light flashed across her eyes!
