Crash-landed On An Island With Nine Beauties novel Chapter 94

Damien pushed his body violently against the mink on which he was lying. Making an attempt to stretch and shake off the silhouette of sleep stalking him, one of his arms hit the surfboard.

"Ouch... that hurts."

He sat up. The pain was enough to knock him back to his senses. He rubbed his fingers against the wrist which had hit the surfboard. He had no idea that he had added height, and that his arms had grown longer.

"When did I grow so tall?"

It was insane to attribute everything to the system. Especially his height. That was just a natural thing that comes by time. He didn't want to think too much.

Point in time, his brain told him what had just happened. He looked around.

"Evelyn?"

He jumped up. He ran out of the hut and searched around but couldn't find her. He hurried to the foot of the baobab tree and climbed up. He ran to the small room on the watchtower and looked through the woods. He couldn't find her. No matter how hard and closely he looked or strained his vision.

"Where did she go? Did she leave already?"

He wasn't sure of what to think. He climbed down the tree and looked around again, running to and fro.

He got tired and stopped running. He walked back into the hut and began to pace from one corner to the other.

"How... what happened?"

"Did she see me?"

"Obviously I didn't become invisible. I intentionally slept that way."

"Was I dumb and stupid? Shouldn't I had done that?"

His gaze tuned. It seemed as though he hated to blame himself.

"Whatever. What if she saw me... What could be the worst thing that could happ---"

He choked on the words.

"Huh? If she saw me for real, she wouldn't had left me alone. I know her... she would had clung to me. I'm very sure."

With the amount of trust in his eyes, you would think that he couldn't trust any better. Like he could never be wrong about this.

"But then... what does that mean? Didn't she see me? How could she not? This is very strange."

He shook his head. He walked to the surfboard and touched it, fiddling with it for no reason. Probably to stimulate his thoughts with it.

"Oh fuck! This is killing me! Why can't I think of something sensible!!! What could possibly had happened?"

Suddenly, a realization dawned on him.

"Oh, the system."

He muttered then flipped the system window out. He began to scroll through till he got to the Nether TV.

He wanted to click on but had a change of mind.

"How about I try the pro out. It should be helpful somehow."

He scoffed.

"Why should I expect such help from the system, knowing fully well that this kind of period is when it fucks up the more. Fucks with me!!!"

That was enough discouragement. He wanted to toss the system in but had a change of mind. He took in a deep breath.

"What is there to lose?"

He clicked on the Nether TV pro feature.

[Ping! Activating Nether TV pro.]

He scoffed.

NETHER TV PRO, WHAT A DUMB NAME.

He knew that that wasn't the time for that. There was a business which should be attended to.

[Ping! Nether TV pro activated.]

"What is this supposed to do?"

He wasn't sure.

[Ping! Nether TV pro: What service would the host like?]

"Oh, I could talk to it?"

He was relieved that this had some sort of favor to it. He nodded, trying to sort his words out.

"What are the functions of this Nether pro? What makes it different from the first one?"

He wasn't sure whether or not his questions would be answered. But there wasn't harm in trying.

[Ping! Nether TV pro: Functions - Unlimited time, travel back in time, as far as two months, abilities to activate s---]

"Enough enough, that's okay."

Damien was so excited when he heard the second function, that he wasn't interested in the rest of what the system had to say.

"Please travel back to yesterday's night."

[Ping! Nether TV pro: Traveling back to yesterday's night.]

In the blink of an eye, the TV brought up a video of him zooming around the woods when gloom was about enveloping the breadth of the woods.

THE FUCK! CAN'T THIS TV TAKE WITS!!

"Not this... fast forward..."

He called, trying not to sound angry at the system.

[Ping! Nether TV pro: Fast forwarding.]

It fast forwarded to where he zoomed to the castle and was searching for Evelyn.

OH SHIT.

He grunted. Then he realized that he was doing it the wrong way.

"Okay, fast forward to when I entered into this hut yesterday's night."

[Ping! Nether TV pro: A thunder speed to the Host's last stop last night.]

THUNDER SPEED INDEED.

He sneered. The system brought up the exact scene;

He was standing at the door of the hut. He entered. He walked slowly inside and went to sleep beside her.

He was tempted to tell the system to fast forward again but he was scared that he might miss the important detail.

He kept on watching as he wrapped his arms around her waist and stuff...

"I can't keep watching all these. There should be a way."

He decided to take a risk.

"Fast forward by every two minutes."

And the system did so. It got to a point, his arms around her waist loosened and Evelyn turned into his arms.

Her eyes slowly opened.

"Normal speed now."

He called desperately, scared to miss that. The TV function was very accurate and swift. So, he didn't miss the details.

"Oh no, she saw me..."

He was nervous as he watched her eyes gain the amount of light enough to give strength and sanity to her vision...

"Oh no, this isn't good..."

His eyes would pop out of his sockets.

"Does this fucking TV has sound?"

[Ping! Nether TV pro sound function activated.]

"Damien..."

He heard her call. He watched closely, his lips moving involuntarily, but there was no sound.

She pushed her body closer to his. Her head tilting in the direction of his, her face hovering over his.

"What's she doing?"

"I missed you..."

Her lips were about to meet his when suddenly he melted into thin air.

"Huh... huh... where did I go? Where the fuck did I go?"

He looked closely.

"Rewind ten seconds back."

The system did as instructed and he observed closely. Again when she was about to kiss him, his body melted away.

"How... what happened? What happened?"

He got no response from the TV. He flipped the system window out and began to scroll through.

"There should be a skill that would explain this. Jungle wits is useless this time."

He kept scrolling desperately but he couldn't find anything.

"No way there isn't something. There must be."

When he got to the end of the skills, he wouldn't stop even though there was nothing to scroll anymore.

"There must be."

He kept chewing the words and scrolling. Suddenly, a system ball rolled below the last skill and a new part of the system window surfaced.

TIER TWO.

SKILL ONE - QUESTION AND ANSWERS.

"What the fuck!"

Damien cussed, staring blankly at the window.

"Tier what? When did we start using Tiers? The fuck is wrong with this system?! I thought this was the last task."

[Ping! Vacate the island with the queens and unlock the TIER TWO window of the CATACLYSM SURVIVAL SYSTEM.]

"Nah, this is total bullshit."

He shook his head. His eyes were burning in rage. If he could find the person in charge of the system he would beat whoever that was to pulp.

Suddenly, a realization dawned on him.

"Wait... does that mean that I get to do whatever I want henceforth? Until I leave the island?"

His face broke into a wild smile at the bright side of the gloomy information the system had just tossed at him.

Then again he couldn't help but think about how much he wanted to get to the root of what happened between him and Evelyn yesterday. He tossed the window system back in.

"If I understand... Evelyn saw me yesterday, but then I became invisible when she almost kissed me!"

That made sense to him, but then his face changed.

"But why?! Why did I suddenly become invisible? Why did it happen?"

He chuckled wryly,

"Or does this dumb system not want me to have sex? Until I become visible again to the girls? Until I rid that other island off the predators?"

He gulped. He didn't seem to enjoy the thoughts. It seemed as though he wanted more. As though there was something that he couldn't reach to, no matter how had he plunged himself into the deepest rill of his thoughts.

"Fuck the system. I'll do whatever I want! Why should it interfere with my personal life? What the fuck, bruh."

He stopped talking for a while.

"Fuck all this."

He took in a deep breath.

"I should go stack away all the gold statues first. It's about time we left this island."

"Damien?"

A sudden and inquisitive voice came from behind him. The voice was very familiar. It was feminine and urgent.

He gulped then turned slowly. Why the fuck wasn't he using the invisible gait?!

"Damien!!!"

The call was assertive this time. Damien's jaws dropped at who was standing before him.

Evelyn.
