Darling, Don't Get Rid of Me novel Chapter 128

Wesley stayed up all night.

He called two waitresses to take care of Harriet at dawn and then went back to his company.

It had been noon when Harriet woke up, looking at the unfamiliar hotel room, she was dumbfounded for a while.

“Miss Harriet, you're awake! Would you like to wash up first, or have breakfast? We'll prepare it for you." The waitress asked warmly, pulling Harriet’s thoughts back.

Harriet was confused, “What’s wrong with me...”

The waitress explained, “Mr. Wesley brought you here to have a rest last night. Is there anything wrong with you? We can get you to the hospital if you feel uncomfortable.”

“No, thank you.” Harriet finally reminded of the scenes of last night, though she had forgotten something because of drunkenness. Then she asked again with uncertainty, “Was it really Boss Wesley brought me here?”

“Yes, Boss Wesley didn’t call in help last night. He carefully looked after you by himself and didn’t leave until this morning. It seemed that he didn’t rest all night.” A waitress was outspoken and spoke out about everything.

Harriet was shocked.

Was it possible? Would Wesley be dedicated to take care of her?

He had taken care of her a few times before because there was still a relationship between them at that time, what was the intention this time?

She increasingly couldn’t understand this man.

“Miss Harriet, Miss Harriet?” The waitress called out.

Harriet gathered her senses, “I’ll wash up first, while you prepare breakfast.”

Harriet was pondering the things of last night during the meal. Wesley obviously didn’t care about that. How could he be willing to let her soak in ice water? She was already in poor health, and this made it even worse.

Harriet couldn’t care much about her headache, directly took a cab to Pop Culture Group from the hotel.

“Sorry, Miss Harriet, Boss Wesley is in a meeting.”

When she arrived at the reception of the edifice, a security guard surprisingly stopped her this time, which never happened before. Apparently Wesley had specifically instructed it.

“Then I’ll wait for him to finish the meeting.” Harriet replied calmly.

The security guard didn’t say much and left her to wait.

However, Harriet waited there for two hours. She frequently asked the receptionist during the time but was always told, “The Boss Wesley was in a meeting.”

She finally couldn’t bear it and directly called to Wesley, but nobody answered.

“I must see Wesley!” Harriet stubbornly said to the receptionist.

The receptionist replied helplessly, “Sorry, Miss Harriet, Boss Wesley is really busy, or you can come next time.”

“No, I can’t wait for it anymore.” Harriet’s eyes rolled, then said with absolute certainty, “I'm pregnant, you can't keep a pregnant woman waiting here, can you?"

The receptionist was shocked, “What...what did you say?”

Harriet spoke with a firm voice, “Didn't understand it? I mean I’m pregnant with Wesley’s child. Are you clear now?”

“Hold on...” The receptionist's attitude was finally changed, hurriedly calling the office secretariat. Soon, she said to Harriet, “You can go in now. Boss Wesley is in his office.”

Harriet sneered in heart, “Maybe he was in the office all the time, but deliberately left her out.”

She finally arrived at Wesley’s terse and decent office. After Harriet closed door, she found Camille was also here, and was pouring tea to Wesley with a smile.

“Why didn't I know that Boss Wesley has a hobby of accompanying by a beauty?” Harriet found it sour after she said so.

Camille raised her head imperturbably, "I came over to discuss matters about work with Wesley.”

Harriet resisted the urge to snicker.

Was it a joke for an entertainer to talk about work with head honcho? Why didn’t she go to Pleasure Media to find a producer or a director, but came here to find the CEO?

"Really? What a coincidence! I'm also here to talk about work with Boss Wesley.” Harriet smiled lightly, and her face was still pale.

Unexpectedly, Wesley posed a question just after her words, "Tell me, whose child is it?"

After a short daze, Harriet glanced at Camille’s astonished eyes, immediately blinking her eyes affectedly. The corners of her eyes flushed a thick scarlet, "Mr. Wesley, how can you do this to your own child?”

As expected, Camille’s countenance suddenly changed.

“Miss Camille, I need to discuss some private things with Wesley. Could you please…” Harriet blinked pitifully at that woman.

Camille was angry in her heart, but could only speak resentfully before the man, “Ok, I'll leave you alone.”

The office door was closed. A triumphant look revealed in Harriet’s eyes.

But before she finished being pleased with herself, she heard the man's cold voice, “You can't get pregnant, can you?”

Harriet turned back, “The doctor said it’s hard. It doesn’t mean it’s completely impossible.”

She almost believed it herself when she said that.

Wesley sneered, “You can create a child by yourself. Harriet, you are really miraculous!”

Harriet couldn’t continue to pretend at last.

When was the last time she had sex with Wesley? She had forgotten it. Anyway, she had her menstruation once during the period, so it was really a miracle that she got pregnant.

“Wesley, you are really not funny.” Harriet shrugged his shoulders and was about to walk to sit on the sofa, but unexpectedly felt a tightening on the waist and was abruptly clasped by the man to his thighs.

Wesley's voice was low and seductive, “Have you already learned to make fun of me?”

“…”

Harriet had a cold jolt. She suddenly realized what a stupid thing she had done. She was really so impudent as to deceive Wesley, especially with this topic!

“Boss Wesley, I know you’re always generous. You also brought me to rest though I was out of order last night, right?

She had no choice but to say so.

Mentioning last night, Wesley's strength around her waist tightened, “I have warned you against getting too close to other men.”

Harriet was speechless for a while, “Boss Wesley, you misremembered, right? It was our previous agreement. Now I'm out of contract, and you have also agreed with it, so you shouldn’t use the previous rules and regulations to restrain me anymore.”

Wesley raised his eyebrows and sneered, “If so, why did you come to me for anything?”

Harriet smiled flatteringly, “After all, you are my former owner. Though there is no relationship any more, the former affection still exists, and I can’t find others, so you…”

“Oh?" Wesley picked her up suddenly and directly placed her on the desk, "You mean that you won't come to me when you have someone else?"

“Of course not!”

Harriet suddenly felt it was wrong to say anything. The man seemed to be deliberately finding a fault, and he looked as if he had no impression of those things last night.

“You are naturally different in my heart. After all, you are the one who helped me when I was at my worst time. Even if we won't have interactions in the future, I will always remember your kindness." Harriet said.

“I will also remember my unfulfilled crush.” She added in her heart.

However, Wesley smiled coldly, “Harriet, I don’t have the relish to help things I have used.
