Darling, Don't Get Rid of Me novel Chapter 58

Jack went straight to the bed and put down the lunch box, "Miss Clark, it is your lunch."

Harriet thought of Wesley when she saw Jack. She became more upset and talked in not respectful way, "Wow, you have become a takeaway deliverer."

Jack didn't care what she said and placed the lunch box for her.

The food was exquisite and smelled good, but she had no appetite, saying with dissatisfaction, "What are these? I have no eager to eat them by just one glance."

Jack frowned as he had already bought the food according to her preferences, "What would Miss Clark like to eat?"

Harriet suddenly changed the subject, "Did the gangster last night be caught?"

Jack paused and squeezed his lips, "Boss Smith will handle it."

"Where is him. I want to meet him." She looked at Jack forthright in a deep voice.

Jack got up and went to the next room, "Boss, Miss Clark wants to see you."

Wesley was dealing with company documents and did not respond him.

Harriet waited for him but she had waited for an hour until he came over.

She stared at the man sitting opposite with a stretched face and said straight away, "I want to know the identity of the gangster."

He might have known their relationship as he was able to find their private villa and lurked in. If she met him alone next time...Harriet had to prepare.

"Give her." Wesley looked at Jack.

Jack was slightly surprised, thinking that Wesley would refuse her. He obediently took out the notebook, found relevant documents and sent it to Harriet.

Harriet immediately browsed the message once she got it. Her eyes lash was shaking slightly and there was a flicker of fear.

The person she faced last night turned out to be a lunatic killer. Harriet was so shocked and she felt cold all over the body.

She couldn't cope with this guy at all.

Her expressions kept changing. She bitterly twitched her lips, wondering what to do in the future.

Wesley collected all her expressions in his eyes, knowing her worries. He said in peace, "He will not threaten you as I am with you."

He just said something about his power, but Harriet couldn't help but come up with other feelings. But she denied them for a moment.

She should not take it seriously for his words. If she took it, she would be a loser.

A week later, in the Phoenix Film City,

As soon as Harriet recovered, she entered the crew and started a tense filming.

She had read scripts and recited lines when she was recuperating in the hospital, so she adapted the work quickly.

Harriet received a call from Colin before returning home after the filming, "Harriet, when will you come back?"

Harriet did not stay at the hotel as it was a short driving from the crew to her apartment.

"I am just off work." Harriet got up and walked out, but suddenly a person ran out beside her, hitting her shoulder hard.

She fell down to the side, and the phone flew out directly.

"Harriet!" Molly exclaimed and ran over, trying to grab Harriet, but it was too late.

A figure in front of her flashed in a hurry and when she recovered, she had fallen into a warm embrace before she almost fell to the ground.

"Harriet, are you okay?" A familiar voice rang in her ear.

Harriet looked up and asked doubtfully, "Why are you here?"

"I just came back from another city and would like to stop by to visit you." Keith still kept holding Harriet. He showed softness in his eyes when smelling the fragrance of her body.

"Hum!" Molly deliberately raised her tone.

Harriet reacted and immediately withdrew from Keith's arms. "Thank you."

She ran to pick up her phone but unfortunately the screen was smashed and completely useless.

"Would you like to have dinner with me? I treat you." Keith did not forget his purpose.

Harriet thought of Colin, borrowed Molly's mobile phone and called back, "I dropped my phone accidentally and it broke. Well, I will be back soon."

Harriet hung up the phone and looked at Keith, "Keith, sorry, I have to go back my home to deal with something. Could we have the dinner another day?"

She frowned and did not like making an excuse.

Keith could only agree with her even he was not willing, nodding, "Okay."

Molly asked her when they got out of the Film City and got on the car, "What happened to Colin?"

Harriet had told Molly that she had a brother.

She shook her head, leaning on the seat and rubbing her temples, "He is fine."

Molly got what she meant soon and felt sorry for Keith for a second.

She saw Colin crouching mysteriously in the corner when entering the door after half an hour.

She walked and asked curiously, "What are you doing?"

Colin was surprised by her and quickly hid the item behind him.

Harriet frowned, grabbing his arm, "Show me what is hidden."

"Meow..." A soft cry came from behind him.

Colin turned around with a smile. A small orange cat appeared in front of her.

"You bought it?"

"No, I picked it up. It is a stray cat." Colin stared at her, afraid that she would not allow him to keep it. "Harriet, look at it. How cute it is."

Harriet had never had a pet, but still knew some common sense, "You took it back directly? Did you remove its mites? Did you get it vaccinated?"

"It has been vaccinated. Harriet, did you just agree with me to keep it?" Colin asked excitedly.

Harriet smiled and touched the fluffy ears of the little orange cat, "Have you named it?"

"Not yet." Colin said, "Why don't you get a name for it?"

Harriet's eyes flashed, "Let's call it Lily."

Colin was a little confused, "What?"

"Just call it Lily, a kind of flower." The name was also familiar with "Wesley".

Harriet then grabbed the little orange cat from Colin and went upstairs.

Colin froze in place. He had been thinking for a long time about how to convince his sister to keep the cat and he did not expect it was so easy.

Harriet took the little orange cat back to the room and put it on the ground, "Wesley, roll."

The little orange cat looked at her innocently.

"You do not know how to do it? I teach you." Harriet caught its two front legs and taught it to roll. "Wesley, I will be your master in the future. You must be obedient and you are not allowed to defecate anywhere."

Wesley came back his office after a meeting. He sneezed violently before sitting down.

Jack immediately handed him a tissue to wipe his hands, "Boss, the police station informed that Patrick Grant was caught."

"You contact Sergeant Davis that we will come over tomorrow." Wesley frowned and threw the tissue. Then he got up to the bathroom.

Jack followed him for a few steps, "Do we need to withdraw the security personnel around Miss Clark?"

Wesley stopped, and said after a moment, "Keep them for the time being."

Wesley deployed people to secretly protect Harriet since the accident happened, but she didn't know it.

Wesley stayed in the hospital for less than two days and was discharged. He never visited Harriet later, and only asked Jack send her nutritious food for several times.

But Harriet just threw the food with hatred.

Wesley had a short video conference before leaving the company after he got out of the bathroom.

A silver-white Porsche stopped at the door of the bar with bright lights in the dim night.

The tall girl jumped out of the car, wearing black tights, white vest with a green cutout jacket, explosive hairstyle and thick smoky makeup. She just looked like she often hung out in bars.

She glanced around for a few times, walked into the bar, turned around on the dance floor, came to a remote seat and sat down. She was patted on the back and immediately turned around, smiling at the person, "Molly, how do I look?"
