Darling, Don't Get Rid of Me novel Chapter 108

"Did you not think about a much bigger problem here, Molly?" Harriet turned to face her. "You knew that Louisa was pregnant. I and Wesley did not have a future."

Molly put her head down in disappointment, "To be honest, I have spied on Louisa before. I feel... I feel that she and Wesley do not match as a couple. I don’t want to be the barer of bad news. We all know how crazy she was before. Who knows if the child is even Wesley’s..."

Harriet was picking up a glass to have a sip of water. By hearing that she nearly spat her water out.

She must agree that Molly had a very sharp mind as an agent.

"Wow, where did you learn to investigate people like that Molly?"

Molly said seriously, “After the last mistake was made, I realize that it’s not enough to only have a business skills. I must be vigilant at all times and gather as much information from people around me as I can. I don't want anyone to be hurt as much as they were hurt last time. "

Harriet’s nose was slightly stern. And she was feeling warm in her heart. At least one person really cared about her on this planet.

"Ding Dong" The doorbell rang. Molly rushed to open the door. When she saw the person at the door, she was shocked.

"Mr. Smith, Miss Jones..."

Wesley went through the door first. Louisa gritted her teeth anxiously and followed him inside.

Harriet turned around in shock, "Louisa?"

"... Harriet, I have a reason for this visit.” After Louisa said this, you could feel the tension in the air. Molly had no other choice just to leave the room and give everyone some privacy.

Harriet had a subtle look on her face.

It wasn’t easy for anyone to become a family member after being in love with him. Besides, there is no real connection between those two. They are only connected through the children and nothing more.

"There is no need for you to visit me, we have nothing to talk about."

Louisa sat on the sofa nervously and asked without a doubt, “Where is Colin now? Has anyone found him yet?"

She was asking Wesley about him all the time before. Wesley didn't tell her the truth about the car crash, only saying he didn’t find him. of course she didn't believe him, so she was sneaking around with Wesley in an attempt to get some sort of information from Harriet. She wanted to know the truth.

"If Wesley had not found him yet, how can I be faster than him?" Harriet said with no emotion.

When Louisa heard about it, she thought Harriet was being jealous. She quickly said, “Harriet, to be honest, Wesley and I have never loved each other. He had always thought about me as his sibling. And I thought about him the exact same way. There was never any love and never will be between me and him. You have nothing to worry about."

After heaving the word, Harriet was secretly happy. Unfortunately she had to get back to reality. "Whatever relationship you and him have, you don't have to explain it to me. I couldn’t care less." Harriet glanced towards him and added, “Whatever happened, nothing would change." Louisa pouted, “I would be died already if you didn’t donate your kidney to me. Therefore, there would be no chances to meet Colin..."

Harriet realized that this obnoxious little girl was still as awkward as before. Now everything she cared was connected to Colin. She was blindly in love, and not able to see anyone else apart from him.

"Harriet, if you want to be with Wesley, I will very much support your decision." Louisa realized that it wasn’t very nice what she said, so she suddenly changed the topic, "I will never be as ignorant as I was before. I guarantee that you will marry Wesley." Harriet's eyes were focused on both of them. Eventually she gave them a smile.

"Louisa, you made a mistake. I only care about this child who is growing in your belly. Yours and Wesley’s relationship means nothing to me anymore."

Deep inside her heart she said, "I will not allow you to be with my brother in the future."

These words made Wesley really angry, "You don't care at all?"

"Yeah, after all, I have no say in who Wesley likes and who he doesn’t, so why would he be interested in me?" Harriet had a smile on her face. She felt a little bit guilty when she saw how annoyed he was with this conversation.

The silence in the room continued for a long time and you could feel the tension in the air between them all. While Wesley stayed in the studio, pretending to be a detective as an excuse, watching Harriet's shooting, Louisa was surprised by Jack.

Harriet was very talented as an actress, no one can deny it. After one game, Wesley was very attracted by her emotional performance, but…

"Stop."

Wesley spoke with a moody face, and the director had to "Cut".

"Mr. Smith, is there something wrong?" The director ran towards him, following by Harriet and Keith who was obviously unhappy. Wesley said in a dull voice, “Erase the kissing scene." The director was shocked. His face expression was a little confused, “This… can't be erased, and the kiss scene represents the relationship. These scenes will upsell it on the TV. You can’t delete it just like that." Before the director could continue, Keith came up with a lot of reasons. Harriet did not speak because she knew as soon as Wesley said his opinion, nothing can be changed afterwards.

Of course, the director hesitated slightly. Then he asked in a careful tone, “Then Wesley, can we get a kiss from Harriet instead? This kiss scene is very important. It shows a lot of romantic emotions. It will be hard to erase it."

"Ok." Everyone was satisfied with Wesley’s answer, but he then glanced at Harriet with a corner of his eye, seeing her feeling uncomfortable.

Keith stared at Wesley with a lot of hatred in his eyes. However he kept himself quiet.

Previously, after he went back home, he mentioned Wesley to his grandfather. Grandpa warned him to not provoke Wesley so easily, and try his best to not show his hate. After all, the reputation of Smith’s Family in California can do much more damage than any other family.

After Harriet continued acting again, Wesley was about to leave. But someone came up to speak with him.

"Mr. Smith, would you like anything to drink?" Cherry approached him with a cup of coffee, she was wearing a very delicate makeup. Wesley responded with a very dull answer, "No."

"This coffee is mine. If Mr. Smith doesn't mind, you can taste it..."

Cherry did not finish her sentence and was rudely interrupted by the man, "Yes I mind."

"..." Cherry Whitty was not disturbed, and persisted to try and get closer. However he walked past her. She stood awkwardly and watched Wesley walk away from her.

Harriet had seen what just happened between them.

Did... Cherry have feelings for Wesley?

All of the sudden she was worried deep inside her heart, this man, wherever he went, he caused trouble. After the shooting, Cherry and Harriet had a face-to-face conversation. Harriet didn't like secrets so she asked her directly.

"Cherry, I saw you trying to chat with Mr. Smith just now. Did you have a nice conversation with him?" Cherry blushed straight away. "No, I just offered him a sip of my coffee and he left me standing there.’’

She noticed that Cherry was all shy about it. Harriet said with a little jealous, "Do you have feelings for Wesley?" Cherry was shocked by the question, and then angrily said, "What are you talking about… Mr. Smith? He is out of my league. I wouldn’t dare to even consider it. Anyway, I thought you are in a relationship with him?"

Cherry must be really interested in him, seeing the way she reacted. I agree, no woman can resist Wesley’s charm. However, she had a feeling that her friend was falling in love with her boyfriend. There is clearly no relationship at all between her and Wesley.
