Don't Try to Escape, My Wife! novel Chapter 1806

‘Oh, my God.’

She had annoyed Lucas!

What should she do?

Yasmeen thought of what Lucas said before he left. He said that he didn’t care, and she couldn't help but flinch.

However, having thought of Lucas being with other woman, she took a deep breath.

Alright, although she still felt a little uncomfortable, and she still can't get rid of the curse of repaying kindness, compared with Lucas's leaving, Yasmeen still compromised.

She quickly ran towards the direction Lucas left.

Lucas didn't leave and he went directly to Joseph. As soon as he entered the room, he opened a bottle of water and gulped down the water.

His behavior surprised Joseph.

Lucas had always been calm and modest. The way he was angry but still repressed his anger made Joseph curious.

"What's the matter?"

"Nothing."

Lucas sat down and browsed the nephrogenic records.

Seeing his gloomy look, Joseph could not help but put down the document and asked, "Is it because of Yasmeen?"

"Joseph, do you have any idea what women are thinking?"

Lucas was indeed a little enraged.

He was born with a silver spoon and had grown up in a bed of roses too. He had spent a lot of energy and patience on Yasmeen. He clearly knew that he can compromise for Yasmeen and do something childish which he didn't want or disdain to do. But as long as Yasmeen likes, he doesn't mind doing them. Was Yasmeen blind towards such a change?

‘Can't she see that?’

‘How could she say it's because I want to return the favor?’

He had plenty of ways to repay her kindness, why would he need to repay with his entire life?

Hearing Lucas's complaint, Joseph knew there was a problem between them.

"What's the matter? Aren’t you gonna get a surgery soon? It's not a good sign for you to quarrel with her. If you are emotionally unstable before surgery, it's easy to get transplant rejection after surgery."

Hearing what Joseph said, Lucas's eyebrows wrinkled so much until he looked like an old guy.

"I don't want to, but she always thinks that the reason I acknowledge our relationship is to repay her kindness. If it’s really to repay her kindness, would I risk my entire life for it? I’ve accidentally beaten Penny and she couldn't be a mother anymore, then should I marry her because of guilt? In this way, her life would be perfect, and I've made amends too, don’t I?"

Yasmeen who had just reached the door heard what Lucas had said and she suddenly widened her eyes.

‘What did he mean?’

‘Lucas wants to marry Penny?’

She had the urge to rush in due to anxiety, but she didn't dare to do it. In the end, she hid behind the door and began eavesdropping.

She felt herself pathetic to do such a thing as a princess.

Hearing Lucas's complaint, Joseph couldn't help laughing and he said, "Then why don't you marry Penny? I heard that she’s knelt down to Yasmeen in public and asked her to give you up for her sake. If Penny hears this today, she’ll be exhilarated."

"Hey!"

Lucas felt a little depressed.

His brother still teased him when he was in such situation. There was no doubt that he was really his brother.

"I'm talking about Yasmeen that fool. Why do you mention Penny?"

Yasmeen who was hiding behind the door couldn't help shuddering.

She was a fool?

That was how Lucas thought of her behind her back?

Joseph glimpsed at the corner of a white fabric which was exposed behind the door. He smiled and said, "Lucas, it’s useless for me to know your thought. You have to let Yasmeen know."

"I’ve told her, she didn't believe me. Just because I had a kidney she gave inside me, she thought all my kindness to her was to repay her. How ridiculous. Didn’t she always know what kind of person I am? How could she see me like this now?"

Lucas felt sadder and sadder.

"She said she’s courting me for 20 years, and she said she knows me more than herself. Now what? One kidney defeated her, and she kept on saying that I only want to repay her kindness. Isn't it just a kidney? Fine! I'll give it back to her! Without having the need to repay her kindness, I’ll see what else she can say."

Hearing Lucas's angry words, Joseph couldn't help laughing and he said, "Do you think it's a child's game? That you can give and take the kidney as you want? Even if you do give Yasmeen's kidney back to her, you might not be able to live until now without her, so you have to accept the kindness even if you don't want to."

"Damn!"

Lucas kicked the garbage can beside in rage.

It was the first time Joseph saw Lucas being so violent.

It seemed that that boy had really become emotional.

"Why are you angry with her now? You know she's in poor health, right? If she gets worse because of your anger, let’s see whether you’ll regret at that time."

Joseph's words made Lucas held back his anger a little.

He frowned and said, "Then what should I do now? That girl can't overcome that mindset no matter how. Should I just let her be and do nothing?"

"That's your problem."

Lucas felt a little dejected.

He grabbed a bottle of water in annoyance and gulped down the water again.

"Hey, hey, that's mineral water, not alcohol. Why do you keep drinking water when you're in a bad mood?"

Joseph can't see it anymore.

"I’m thirsty, okay? Can’t I drink some water?"

Lucas angrily opened another bottle of mineral water again.

Joseph had the urge to laugh, but he held it back.

"Are you really going to break up with Yasmeen?"

"Isn't that what she wants? She said the reason I be with her is for the sake of kindness. Fine. After the operation, I’ll have paid off what I owed her. After that, do me a favor by asking mom and dad to introduce me some women for a blind date. Just random women would do. If you can't do that, find Penny then, I could marry her. Didn’t I say that I can do anything to repay her kindness? Then I'll show it to her. It's just what she wants too So she’ll not overthink it all day. "

As soon as Lucas finished, the door was kicked open from the outside.

"How dare you!"

Yasmeen was trembling in rage.

‘How dare this bastard marry other woman!’

Then who was she anyway?

Lucas was not surprised by Yasmeen's appearance. He took a glimpse at her, and then continued to drink his water. He had stopped complaining to Joseph and he was indifferent for no reason, as if an invisible wall had separated him from Yasmeen.

Yasmeen suddenly felt aggrieved and she felt a lump in her throat.

"Lucas, you’re such a bully!"

As soon as Yasmeen said this, the corner of Lucas’s mouth twitched.

"I’m a bully? Yasmeen, you’ve gone better at putting the blame on others these days!"

Yasmeen's face immediately flushed. Didn't this bastard know that she was a woman who needed to be coaxed?

"I don’t care. Didn't you already know what kind of person I am? You’ve provoked me and now you want to marry other woman? Lucas, am I dead to you?"

Yasmeen came forward angrily, snatched Lucas's collar and said fiercely, "I dare you to marry other woman! I'll kill one as soon as you marry one! And I mean it!"
