Expert Down The Mountain Chapter 76

Noticing that the majority of shareholders chose to pull out, Trevor cracked a triumphant smile. Soon afterward, he looked toward Liam and Sadie with a sneer. “Why? Are you going to keep our shares forcefully? Liam, why haven’t you started drafting the contract yet?” “You’re constantly trying to figure out a way to take my shares, aren’t you? Now that the opportunity is right before you, why haven’t you taken it? Don’t you want it anymore?” “Trevor…” Liam’s eyes were ignited with rage, and he had never felt so close to killing a man badly. Miles sneered and said, “I’m the CFO and have the authority to make a decision. Everyone, I shall have my staff draft up a contract and then have them pull out!” “How dare you, Miles!?” “What a joke! What don’t I dare to do, huh?” Miles expressed his contempt and pulled out his phone soon afterward in preparation to order his subordinate to start drafting the contract. All of a sudden, the sound of someone knocking on the door interrupted their quarrel. Then, Kayson walked into the room with his arms full of documents. Everyone looked toward Kayson in astonishment. Sadie was momentarily stunned. In the next instant, she was furious. “Who gave you the permission to come here!?” Kayson said in puzzlement, “Ms. Wolfenden, aren’t they trying to pull out of Wolfenden Corp.? I’ve already prepared the contract and brought the documents with me.” The office was ghastly silent. Sadie’s face was as gloomy as an impending storm. Had it not been the crowd in the office, she would have beaten up Kayson right there and then. “Go ou—”.

Before she could finish her remark, Kayson walked over and placed the pile of contracts on the meeting table. At the same time, he said to Sadie softly, “Let them go. The company is no longer in crisis, and someone is going to invest in us.” Sadie’s expression turned cold. She was distracted for a brief moment as she looked at Kayson’s serious expression.

Kayson tossed out the contracts one by one while he called out the names, and the contracts landed precisely before every person.

“Check and see if there is any mistake with your name and share units. If there is no mistake, please sign the contract.”

Kayson’s voice reverberated in the boardroom. Miles reacted to the situation by bursting into laughter from extreme anger instantly. “Who the f*ck do you think you are to come and speak here?” Kayson took a glance at him and said nonchalantly, “You may continue to behave arrogantly for a while more because you won’t be able to do it anymore later, Mr. Lawson.” In fact, he could not be bothered to pay attention to Miles. Instead, he looked toward the shareholders who were planning on pulling out of Wolfenden Corp. “What are you waiting for, everyone? Sign the contract!” Trevor looked at Kayson coldly. He did not think that Kayson’s remark would be considered valid.

“Please sign the contract, everyone. I will have the finance department transfer the money to your accounts.”

Sadie had actually spoken and instructed the people to sign the contract! She did it not because she believed Kayson’s nonsensical remark but because she figured that the company would not last until five in the evening if she were to make these people stay by force. Trevor and the others were smirking. Soon afterward, Trevor said, “Sure if you say so!” Then, the eight shareholders, including Trevor and Chandler, signed the contract. Liam took a side glance at Kayson with a furious expression. ‘It’s all this dumb f*ck’s fault that there’s no turning back in this matter anymore!’ Kayson collected the contracts and placed them before Sadie. Sadie’s face was as cold as ice, and she refused to look at Kayson at all. Ben and Leo’s faces were overwhelmed with emotions. They lowered their heads in dejection, shook their heads, and heaved a sigh. Meanwhile, Kayson called out to the door, “It’s done. Please come in, Mr. Carlson.” Mr. Carlson was the investor Michael had sent over!
