Falling For My Mysterious Wife by Cassidy Alfaro novel Chapter 96

Chapter 96

That night, Jalen did not sleep well.

He had a dream. In the dream, he returned to the day when he got his marriage certificate with Elaina.

However, this time, it was no longer his grandfather who arranged it. Instead, he went to City Hall personally to get the marriage certificate with Elaina.

At that time, he met Elaina. It was not like he had not seen her for two years in real life. After that, everything was different.

However, when he woke up, he realized that it was just a dream.

In the hospital, Elaina conducted an operation in the morning. She was relatively free in the afternoon. Elaina was in the office sorting out the medical records.

It was at this time that she received a call from Nitzan, who invited her to the birthday party.

“Ella, I only celebrate my birthday once every ten years. You will come, won’t you?” Nitzan asked.

Elaina replied, “Nitzan, I will be there on time.”

“That’s good.” Nitzan hung up the phone in satisfaction, looking forward to the meeting between his grandson and Elaina.

Nitzan believed that as long as his grandson met Elaina, he would definitely fall in love with her.

At this moment, Nitzan did not know that Jalen had already met Elaina on the second day of the divorce and that Jalen had a good impression of her without knowing that she was his ex–wife.

After hanging up the phone, Elaina was about to continue working when someone knocked on the office door.

She looked up and saw that it was Saul.

“Why are you here?” She looked puzzled.

“I came to ask if you like your dress,” Saul smiled. He thought that he had to catch the moment because he just made Jalen unhappy last night.

Elaina thought of the dress that Saul chose. It looked good, but it was not the style she liked.

However, it was a gift, so Elaina was not picky. “It’s pretty good. How much is it? I’ll transfer the money to you.”

“You treat me as an outsider.” Saul was unhappy. He always felt that no matter what he did, he could not please Elaina.

“No, I just…”

“Just treat it as a reward for being my female companion. You won’t refuse it, will you?” Saul had

no choice but to say this.

Since he had already said so, Elaina naturally could not say no. “Alright, thank you.”

Seeing that she had finally accepted it, Saul was in a better mood. He held his chin and leaned against Elaina’s desk, looking at her affectionately, causing goosebumps to rise on her skin.

Elaina laughed dryly, unable to bear it. “If you have something to say, just say it. If you look at me like this, I can’t work.”

“It’s nothing. I just missed you and came to see you,” he said.

Elaina didn’t find it moving. She only felt that it was gross, especially with the look in Saul’s eyes.

Elaina felt very uncomfortable.

Her dislike was too obvious. Saul felt a little apologetic. “Looks like you don’t like this type.”

“Hehe.” She laughed dryly, “Just be normal, okay?”

“Okay.” Saul nodded and returned to his original state.

“Oh right, you said before that you wanted me to accompany you to the banquet. What day is it exactly?” Elaina was going to attend Nitzan’s birthday party tomorrow, so she was afraid that she would choose the same day.

“Tomorrow,” Saul said.

It baffled Elaina. She could only say with an apologetic face, “Then I might not be able to accompany you.”

“Why?” Saul was surprised, even his voice was a little higher.

“I also need to attend a party tomorrow,” she replied with resignation.

Saul was silent. After pondering for a moment, he asked, “Nitzan’s birthday party?”

Elaina was surprised. “You know about it?”

“Who in New York doesn’t know?” Saul asked back, then smiled, “That’s good. It’s also the birthday party I’m inviting you to go to with me.”

At first, Elaina was surprised, but later she felt that it was normal.

To make Saul pay so much attention to a party, it must not be an ordinary one. Recently, it seemed that only Nitzan’s birthday party was the most important event.
