Flash Marriage: Slow Down Mister novel Chapter 290

Clara went blank for a long while. She wondered who she was and where she should go. She thought that she should neither be named Selman nor Hutchinson. What should she do in the future?

Clara turned cadaverous, stared blankly ahead, and lapsed into total silence. Clara's expression made Helena think that she would never forgive her, "Clara, it was all my fault! Can you say something? I am so sorry. If it can make you feel better, come and give me a punch," Helena held Clara's hands and began to hit herself.

Startled by Helena's movement, Clara woke up from her daze and immediately stopped Helena, "Mom, stop that! What are you doing?"

"It was all my fault. I don't deserve you! Clara, I am so sorry. I am so sorry."

Helena's tears and apology made Clara feel bad and sorry.

Although Helena selfishly tampered with her true identity, she had brought her up and treated her like her own daughter. Clara could never forget that, when she was a child and there was no heater in her home, Helena would always hold Clara's feet in her arms in order to keep them warm during cold winters.

There were countless stories exemplifying Helena's love. Although she had never met her father since she was a little baby, Helena's profound love had made up everything for her.

Therefore, even now that she had already known the truth, she could not blame Helena.

Clara reached out for the tissue and helped Helena to wipe her tears, "Mom, I won't blame you for anything. No matter whether I am your daughter or not, you have brought me up, so you are my mother, for sure."

"Really, Clara? You won't blame me?"

"No," Clara heavily nodded her head, "You are my mother, now and forever."

Helena finally smiled. She had been with Clara for so long a time that she had already treated her as her biological daughter.

Moreover, due to her sense of guilt, she had worked very hard and tried her best to provide Clara with a happy life.

Therefore, she would be more than sad if Clara really disowned her because of this old story.

"Thanks, Clara. Thanks for forgiving me. Thanks for not disowning me."

Clara hugged Helena and buried her face in Helena's shoulder, crying, "Mom, I will be your daughter as long as you want to be my mother. I will always take care of you, now and forever."

At Clara's words, Helena turned shamefaced. What a big heart this girl had! After knowing everything, she not only forgave Helena's sins, but also promised to take care of her for the rest of her life. Helena knew that it was all her fault and she was so sorry to this girl.

The daughter and the mother nestled in each other's embrace, crying, for a while. Then, Clara slightly pushed Helena away when she thought about Helena's health, "Mom, stop crying. You can't be too emotional now since you are in poor health."

"Alright, I'll stop crying," Helena raised her hands to wipe her tears. Noticing that Clara was also crying, she dotingly touched her face and said, "Don't cry, Clara."

"Ok, mom," Clara responded and wiped her tears with tissue.

Now that the truth had been uncovered and all the secrets had been unveiled, Clara believed that her relationship with Helena became good again, so she was happy at that moment.

Then, something important occurred to Helena, but she did not know whether she should tell Clara. Noticing that Helena was biting back something, Clara asked, "Mom, what's wrong? Do you have anything to say?"

Staring at Clara, Helena had tentativeness in her eyes and embarrassment in her look, which mystified Clara to a greater extent.

"Clara, are you going to tell Logan everything?"

At Helena's question, Clara then understood the tentativeness and embarrassment—after all, Laura was Helena's biological daughter, so it was natural that she would take such things into account.

Yet, Clara did not know how to react and respond.

On one hand, Logan was her brother, which meant that he was her last family in the world according to kinship. Yet, Clara was not sure whether Logan would accept the truth since he had already been with Laura for more than twenty years. All these years, he believed that Laura was his sister and had been so good to her.

On the other hand, the anxiety and nervousness on Helena's face told Clara that, although Helena did not intend to interfere with her decision, she actually did not want her to unveil the truth since it might deprive Laura of her wealthy life.

"I don't know," Clara confessed haltingly, "I don't know what I should do yet since I have just known the truth. I need time to think about it."

"Fine," Helena nodded her head and lapsed into silence, a shade of disappointment flashing in her eyes.

Clara understood Helena's concern. The sudden silence was then filled with awkwardness.

"Mom, I need to handle something. I should go back now and maybe you'd better take a rest," Clara broke the silence.

"Okay. I'll manage it myself." Helena did not intend to keep Clara there.

"You take a rest then," after helping Helena lie down and tucking her in, Clara left the room.

After she left the hospital, she stood on the pavement thinking about her plan.

Although she was not sure whether she should tell Logan about her identity, she knew that she must tell Laura about it since Helena must be treated as soon as possible and Laura might be willing to donate her marrow if she knew that she was Helena's biological daughter.

The only thing Clara was worried about was whether Laura would believe her or not.

She now had a bad relationship with Laura, and her hatred towards Laura would be intensified whenever she saw Laura and thought about how Laura hired four men to kidnap her and try to rape her.

Moreover, it was because of Laura's tricks that she had conflicts with Horace, so she did not want to see Laura at all.

Whereas, Helena's illness was so pressing that Clara decided to talk with Laura. She believed that Laura would not be cruel enough to ignore her biological mother's life.

After she made up her mind, Clara went to visit the Hutchinson's by taxi.

When she arrived, after a few seconds of hesitation, she finally rang the bell. Unexpectedly, it was Logan who opened the door.

Clara's mind went blank for a second as she saw Logan.
